Thank you for watching. I have been wanting to make this since last year. Filmed over the course of May/June. It mimics the style/idea of the original music video. Many people volunteered to help in the filming of this project. I really can't take all the credit.
If this made you smile, that means it was successful!

Holy shit.. just.. holy shit. This not only made me feel warm but it honestly brought me to tears. The fact that you put the angles as if every adventurer is filming their experiences and making it so real is just... that's the feeling of XIV, that's what I've been feeling WHEN playing XIV and why I log in almost every day...
just.... I don't know if I can stop watching this, amazing Job as always Denmo
thank yoU!!!!
I read this in your voice and how you would actually say it
@@DarcSagewhisker Same
Shenpai well i WAS gonna post a comment about how well done this video was but you basically just summed up my entire response for me
You summed it up perfectly. It's like watching a home video of their experiences, and it brought a tear to my eye cause I remember so many similar times with my friends while playing FF. It's a heartwarming and touching video. Denmo did an amazing job.
Alternate Title: Denmo makes us all feel feelings again
This video made me feel nostalgic about something that I'm still experiencing.
lol same here
I have no idea how i felt exactly the same and had no idea how to say it.
ikr xD
I only have like 23ish days of playtime and even I felt nostalgic
I feel the same ;-; ❤️
This should be an actual ad for FFXIV. This is exactly how I feel playing for all these years. An actual Road trip.
I felt like I just watched a video version of a high-school yearbook and it almost made me cry :')
It sparked a fire in me that reminded me just how much I love FFXIV.. Your videos are incredible Denmo thank you for this
Same
that is such an amazing way of putting it!! a high-school yearbook!
that is such an amazing way of putting it!! a high-school yearbook!
When they knocked over the camera by accident, oh my God the editing makes this experience incredibly real. lol
Man there's such a real handheld camera feel to this, I love it, tremendous filming and editing
Not to hate obviously, this is incredibly well done, but my god FF's camera shake ruins stuff like this.. ; - ;
And I know it's "Looked down on" to use 3rd party but using CMTools for FOV slider would have seriously given all the videographers alot more freedom and made the whole video not feel so claustrophobic, regardless, it's still incredibly good, and that was just my constructive criticism :)
Edit: The shake is postproduction.... Ahhhhh!
I realise they're going for a "Handheld" look however you can alternate and having a considerable amount of the video have this shake is incredibly jarring ^^
But that's just my opinion~
I've stopped playing this game this March after 6+ years due to immense burn out not just with the game, but with what's happening in the world in general. This video made me cry because FFXIV is my first ever MMO and it made me feel so nostalgic and emotional about how many great and fun experiences I've had with the game. From finishing Sastasha for the first time, to finishing the MSQ of ARR, to clearing my first EX trial, to clearing my first Savage fight and then eventually to clearing my first Ultimate fight. I've realised how much I've grown not only as a player, but as a person in those 6 years that I've been playing.
I've had burn outs with the game before but somehow this year I just felt like perhaps it's time for me to leave this game behind for good. I've accomplished so much in this game and it felt painful to leave it all behind but I was just so tired. However, watching this video made me reflect upon how much joy this game gave me and how much I love it. So thank you Denmo, for this wonderful video! :)
same thing happened to me I left the game after completing the MSQ of SHB, I have clocked 6K hours in this game. I don't like the direction the game is going, with all fast paced telgraphs and all the classes feeling same, there is nothing unique and only way to display one's skill is by doing the scripted fights in correct order.
I think you need a long break. Wait till the next expansion. But we got you bud.
Just get one more month of gametime and play the new MSQ quest, if you are highly interested in it.
It will take you about 7+ hours to finish it and with that you really can go on a long break without missing out much story.
I don´t want to spoiler something but Yoshida didn´t lie about ending the Shb story.
Honestly, the current msqs ending is an absolutely perfect ending to the story.
Yea i left the game for about 2.5 years. I started playing this game back in 1.0 till about late 2017, i just started back up and I've gotten a new appreciation for the game after playing soo many others in that time. The game will be there if you ever want to get back into it
"Herein I commit the chronicle of the traveler."
absolutely incredible
The truth is that the more the world closes in on us, the more we all just want a world like this to explore. A world with adventure- but also joy, beauty, wonder, fun, passion.
We die when we can no longer have these things. Not the death of the body, but the death of the soul. Thank you, Denmo for fanning those flames of life.
That's pretty damn good
The little newbies at the end, ahhh, my heart....
So many memories ahead of them~
beautiful... simply beautiful...
i will repeat the same comment i said in the "don't dance alone" video.... this could be an official ad for FF14
Yeah if there were a way to contact yoshi-p directly we should send him all of Denmo's videos, just amazing perspectives of the awesome FF14 world!
GOD YES!
Ahhh few years have gone by, this is the clip that literally made me play ffxiv in the first place. Though things change and all that, i used to be in a FC and brought my friends along to start the game and we all have events and all, and even do roadtrips like these it was very fun until it didnt. FC got into a big drama, friends found other friends and im just playing solo most of the time now to the point i had to take a break for half a year just to not get depressed over a game experience. Even made me not play endwalker on release day and just didnt play for 7 months til i decided to get back and do the MSQ, after it's done im pretty much alone again and it's a very shitty feeling.
Though watching this again just made me convince myself that instead of crying over what you don't have is to just appreciate on what you had, sounds cheesy but it helps me a lot for those who are by any chance experiencing the same thing, sorry for the text just kinda wanna rant a bit lol
Man oh man, three years have gone by since I've began playing XIV on a whim. This video of amongst others were some of the big catalysts for me to get out there and socialise with people, chasing to make memories of my own. And I did! I joined an FC of wonderful people who welcomed me with open arms and a warmth that was much appreciated during those days of the pandemic. They pushed me to try all sorts of content I wouldn't have dipped my toes into and also just made our own sort of dumb fun along the way. The game and it's world back then was magical beyond anything else.
I am no longer in that FC and I havent talked to 99% of my former guildmates in at least a year and a half by now. As times change so do people, and some changes are harder to reconcile than others. These days I have my own FC, a group composed of just a handful of my close friends. We still have our own fun but often we just sit around and chat, none of us really big on doing difficult content unless its for glamour or a mount. And these days the game is less magical, a spark that was there from when I began having faded. Playing a game so much for so long will do that haha.
But looking back at the screenshots I took, both those taken for vanity and those taken for to record moments, some of that magic comes back. Though in the past they may be each memory brings a warmth to my heart, tinged with the bitterness of separation some of they might be each moment I still hold dear. Even should I fall out of this game forever Ill always look back on it with the fondest of sighs.
I've been playing FFXIV for five and a half years and this sums up everything I've come to love and adore about this game. The great friends, the adventures, the shenanigans. Thank you, Denmo, for the perfect encapsulation for all the reasons I haven't stopped playing yet. 💖
I am in the same boat time wise! My newest struggle is finding some new people to play with, because a lot of my other friends got out of the game. So I hope I can find a great community out there again.
This managed to capture how I've felt since my friends started playing in a way I don't think I ever could. I played for a very long time alone, and now I have friends to play with and idk, this just hit the tone so well.
You are living the dream man
2:03 This happened to me on my first attempt of this dungeon. I did the trust system and picked Alisaie. Alisaie proceeded to make that jump with a similar ability. Little did i know my her dash move was scripted. I fell right into the pit.
this is the feeling i want in game alot, and why i've been branching out talking with new people as best i can
UA-cam may take away your motivation for creating this content, but it will never take away the love we all have for your work, every video is just pure gold
This is so incredibly HEARTWARMING. I love how you've made it feel really from different POVs and like we're all on a grand adventure together! You've captured the spirit of why I love this game and friends I've made here so much :D
I discovered this a year later but I am obsessed with it. It really invokes the most feels possible. I've watched it so many times since I found it yesterday.
probably the best content I've seen for ffxiv.
I love how this is shot in such a way it looks like the adventurers are recording their journeys. Thank you to all who came together to make this, I'm feeling warm and fuzzy af and even more thanks for the madlad who put this all together, fantastic work as always.
You nailed the feeling of traveling through the fantastic world of FFXIV, superb video Denmo!
Man, the feeling of this video doesn't get old even with repeated viewings. You're an editing maestro, Denmo. You really know how to showcase the greatest aspect of the game: the people playing it.
being shown this video on Shenpai's stream, and watching it ever since then, has given me the motivation to clear all the way from 2.0, to 6.0 (maintenance is currently up). thank you so much for this delightful masterpiece, to remind us all of the precious connections and memories that we've made thanks to this wonderful game!
"Hey, that's me in the car..." - Everyone in September 2021
And this is why I play Final Fantasy XIV. Now if only there were more housing plots...
just wait for new housing zone and be sneaky on that older plots... and due to covid plots cant get destroyed so the market is kinda stale rn
i found this from rich's stream! Your work is epic!
Is there a clip?
@@seojaepark he was playing it on his live stream and i didnt get a chance to clip it but it should saved on his twitch channel
Do you remember what stream it was? or what part of the story he was at so I can try and find it?
@@ATHoops i tried to track it down but no luck. The video was posted to his subreddit 30 days ago so i though i'd check the vods from around that day but i found nothing.
Not only does this give me such strong feelings of nostalgia, reminding me of so many happy memories and what love about the game, but makes me excited for the future, new friends and new adventures.
This video represents the best if FF14 and it's wonderful community. It could easily be used to advertise and showcase this amazing game.
Masterful work as always. Thank you for making me smile.
This was absolutely heartwarming and captures the purest moments a player can have in FFXIV. Punched me right in the feels. qwq You did such an amazing job as always!
This is a Masterpiece
Denmo, thank you for making this. Your videos was how I got my mom interested in ffxiv and since her passing in January I have come to appreciate ffxiv more, so seeing this made me think of her and remember when I showed her your dancing video for ARR. Thank you for still making videos and bringing amazing feelings and laughs to her and my life.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but I really hope you're hanging in there even now. Your mom sounds like an amazing woman to get so interested in this game and it sounds like y'all had many good times on and offline. Keep taking care of yourself and keep the chin up
@@GentlemanMudkip thank you. It has been hard but I'm getting thru just slowly.
Where is the possibility to like this twice, holy shit
This is how the game should be played..with friends
I love the cuts of ppl taking selfies and such. So cute 😍
Gave me tears
I hope this video sees a nice influx of new viewers as the FFXV event rolls through this month. Can't wait to finally get my own Regalia and start a Road Trip of my own.
This made me feel feelings I couldn't recognize. But one thing's for certain... and thats that I love this.
2:06 laughing at the squad for being put in babyjail and instantly getting into an argument is such a nice choreography, just feels real idk
Why is this making me cry instead of smiling?
Good video with tons of feels behind it and the tune really fits well...
I love the shot in the Sophia trial where the camera goes with everyone and then in the septhirot trial they are up in the air. It's the little details in this that makes its so spectacular. Each "scene" has something fun going on in it
bro this was amazing! Love the concept, love the editing, love the music choice! Just rewatched it 3x. This is what FF14 is all about
Oh the feels ❤️ I love how in the span of a few minutes you perfectly represent the “road trip” I’ve been on since I started playing this game so many years ago. It feels like a chronological video of everyone’s journey. So many amazing details.. like how swimming and flying come later in the journey ☺️ thank you for another emotional piece!! ... also the Tonberry XD
This still my favorite video of yours.
Mr Face is incredible, but this one just bring me the feeling, and the feeling of nostalgia of a thing that I still experiencing, the editing and concept is just outstanding, fantastic masterpiece, Denmo and helpers.
Wonder why the dislikes ?!!
And so many !!!!!!
Best montage EVER .PERIOD
funny, creative, hard to implement with game tools and yet managed to edit something like that
Square should seriously hire you to do their commercials and promotional videos because this perfectly captures the essence of FFXIV.
A player died today, he had 2 weeks to live from a heart defect. To see this video come out same day is truly heartbreaking. My girlfriends sister was dating him and she is truly devastated. Its bittersweet to watch. I wish the very best to his family and been trying help her out as much as possible. He tried to spare her the heartache and broke up with her, but 3 days ago or so they got back together and just this morning died. Truly the saddest thing I heard in awhile. The community is so great though they are rallying for her and helping in any way they can, its remarkable to see. She's truly devastated and this is just heartbreaking. Thank you for posting this today. It may not have been for him but it feels like it was in a way, at least to us all
I'm sorry for your loss.
Just found this video 3 years after it's been uploaded. I'm gonna share to my friends who don't play ff14 when they ask me why I stick to this game
You've done it again, your editing skills are only matched by the emotional engagement we experience as a viewer. Bravo.
I think the only thing that is as good as this video is...is the comments and peoples reaction to it. When you have played the same game for years, you build stories of people you met, places you have been. Reading the comments from people shareing those moments gives me the feels hardcore. So much love for the game, your vids and the people that make it a special place!
God damn, Denmo, you've really outdone yourself this time. Bravo.
When you like before it even starts :P
Edit: my like was put in faith and I was given more than I could've hoped for
Denmo Mcstronghuge knocking it out of the park again with another video the highlights the nature of FFXIV: the shared adventure, the community, the friendship.
Because this game is one of the few out there that I've ever found truly feels like it not only encourages but is built around a sense of camaraderie.
And Denmo always seems to capture that with his work.
Wonderfully done, as always, dude.
I started playing around 2 months after Endwalker. I am so excited to experience Dawntrail with the rest of the community at the same time. You continue to show what this community is capable of.
I just wanna say this is probably my favorite XIV video out there. I keep rewatching it every few days. Just amazing
i wish i had friend like this in ffxiv

1:48 lol that's the dork that's been dancing in limsa lominsa leviathan since 2013.
Yep, and he's still dancing in Limsa! Fun fact, a lot of people apply to my FC thanks to him! XD
The best part of this video is as I go through the MSQ I find more and more places from this video and it gives me the most wonderful feeling
Been watching this everyday before i start playing for the past 2 weeks, really gets me motivated for some reason. Awesome video!
I don’t play anymore but I always look forward to your videos. The world of FFXIV brings back a ton of nostalgia for the locations as well as the people that inhabit them. I have so much appreciation for the scenery I’ll never would have experienced If it weren’t for FFXIV fmvs. Thank you for these!
literally traveled to another world on their road trip. best road trip ever.
Man this made me think that I didnt really know what I had back when I played the game, absolutly captures the feeling of adventure and community, love it...thinking about resubbing..
Holy shit Denmo, I’ve been watching your videos since your HW “taste my sad” video and your music selection always puts the biggest smile on my face. I’ve been a huge fan of ODESZA since I discovered them back in 2014. The moment I heard the keys jingling and the door unlocking, I knew you picked Late Night, holy shit. This is incredible Denmo! Thanks for the big smile plastered on my face while watching this! Cheers!
This is so cute and heartwarming. Idk how to describe it but every single player shown felt so individualistic, each appearance and movement were unique to that person. And of course all coming together in a shared experience, whether it was running dungeons or having a community parade. Like there's a great sense of feeling that behind every unique, onscreen WoL there's also the unique human being and we're connecting with each other through this game. The mock handheld cam PoV really pulled that all together. This sounds cheesy as hell but yeah thanks for sharing this Denmo.
I only started this game this last September, and I dont know how you did it, but you made me feel a sense of nostalgia, as if this game has been with me my entire life. Thank you. You are truly an inspiration.
We all say "i want to explore the world around me". Yet we use flying mounts the moment we ge tthe opportunity to use them, and never actually get to exploring the world as we all say.
This video presents what exploring a world should be. Thank you.
This is probably the greatest ffxiv video ive ever seen. I can relate and vibes to every single moment in this vid with the adventures ive had just exploring the game.
'We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.'
I don't know how to explain it with words....definitely speechless after watching this. Great vid Denmo!
You know it's good when it's got ODESZA
this is literally just what we all want, just hanging out with our mates exploring the final fantasy world and making memories doing it, THAT is what adventuring is.
Video didn't even have a single spoken word but I still teared up, I love this game, fucking incredible work Denmo
Standin' on Raubahn Ex
You told me that you'd wait forever
Oh, and when Heavensward held my hand
I knew that it was Shadowbringer
Those were the best days of my life
Oh Yeah!
Back in the summer of Eorzea!
I still cry every time I watch this. It's beautiful.
i know this is a year old but... this is why i love video editing
I've watched quite a bit of your stuff, from the past, I'm a little late here.
I've never been really able to express or put it into words before so here it goes.
wanted to let you know, your videos have a way of giving me this sense of wandering thoughts.
I felt these pangs in my heart from your videos like Frosted ruins, Keep Dancing, Eorzea (Heavensward), to FFXIV Time Lapse Compilation.
It reminds me of the times of walking around I never really had many people to play with I've never been good with communication but
when I used to walk before my injury that made it hard for me to walk for very long, I used to listen to music when I see trees rustling and cars passing by I felt a sense of calm.
I havent been able to go out and feel that in such a long time, and seeing this it brought back those feelings of where I truly felt a wave of peace wash over me.
I've played this game for years and always enjoying the sceneries, so seeing this just makes me appreciate my moments here.
Thank you so much for making this, and allowing me to find that peace I've been searching for, for such a long time.
I'll likely be coming back to this time and time again always just appreciating every moment in this piece.
I wish you a wonderful day.
I hope you are safe and happy wherever you are, take care lad.
1:48 Great job getting void ark in the background
Everyones hit it on the nose, theres a real filmography to this that really sets it apart from many videos I've seen. Its amazing!
A bit hard to put into words what this video does. It's the best representation of one of the best aspects of XIV - playing with friends. Really heartwarming video, and excellently made too (really creative use of first-person)! I loved very second of it.
This made me feel something I thought was lost a long time ago, a spark.... a spark when I first played this wonderful game. Exploring the world meeting other players and making friends, banding together to fight off strong foes and then everyone celebrating and emoting god..... such a wonderful feeling. This video is beautiful.
This should be a trailer for FFXIV, Really reminds me why I fell in love with ffxiv.
Every time I see one of your videos, it reminds me of how much I love FFXIV, and how much I appreciate everyone I've meet in the game.
Thank you for all of your hard work. It definitely shows, and this video was incredibly heartwarming.
Thank you for your hard work with all of your videos, they're putting always a smile on my face and for a short time i can always forget about everything bad that is just happening, really thank you so much
beautiful. simply beautiful
I cannot stop watching it, love the music love the video editing, love the crew
Beautiful 😻 never stop denmo! The feels are reals ❤️❤️❤️
This is why I play Final Fantasy XIV, for the world and the people that live in it.
Love this. This is the kind of experience I had longed for when first joining FFXIV. Coming up on my first anniversary and I'm still piddling around solo.
Join a FC! Talk to randoms in the plazas! :) there's a lot of players just like you looking for friends! Cheers.
I cant even begin to think how many hours you put into this. Easily the best FFXIV video i have ever seen
I don't know if it's Quarantime or what but I definitely cried a whole bunch over this. Thank you for reminding me why ff14 is so good.
Just started FFXIV a month ago. Been watching your videos before I started playing, and I like to come back to them every now and then. Each time gives me a real warm feeling and honestly, feels good each time. This particular video always never fails to make me smile though so, fantastic job on making this video(and was actually the one that made me want to play!). As a new player on FFXIV, I appreciate the work and effort you put into these videos which bring not me, but everyone else of the FFXIV community a good fuzzy happiness.
Keep up the good work my dude!
Also, your sultry voice on controller tutorial was good stuff.
This makes me wish my fc was still around. We had good times together while it lasted. After I quit for almost 2 years and finally came back last week to find my fc was dead and my fc estate gone it made me almost tear up inside. Cause I remember those days when me and my friends we formed this fc and shared many laughs and memories together. Now it's depressing being by myself in my own fc and not seeing my friends play anymore. Primal Exodus R.I.P.
Bro, I'm tearing the f up. This is hitting so close to home. I love XIV so much and I love your videos too. Keep on ding the good fight!
Holy shit. This is incredible. SE should be paying you for this! Its like a professional ad for the game!
it's crazy how much story you can put into 2 second clips. the emarassed miqote, the sprouts setting up the camera, sephirot's double arm swing, there's so much to unpack and literally everyone can relate
I love your videos especially because you aren't relying on crappy mods and tools to make them, just really good editing and keeping the integrity of the game which is already beautiful on its own. bravo!
wow this is fkn amazing. this video makes me feel like playing XIV for the first time and discover this awesome game. running around with guildmates having fun and all that stuff. love it
I'm happy because, I actually wanted to do something like this when I first saw the clip from Late Night, but it's something I kept pushing away, and away, and away...
'Someday' I said to myself. Now I saw this and I'm like "you could have done this". But I didn't, and I'm glad because nor even if I tried my hardest it would have looked as awesome as this one, and at least now I know it was possible to do it and make it look SO GOOD. Good job ~
