New subscriber. Just wantin to say, I been watchin your channel for a while, but didn't subscribe right away cause I was watchin to see what all you was like. There be some, that I won't name, they have a habit a usin 'click bait',, they deceive folks into thinkin certain things are goin on in the video, but then, people find out it's somethin entirely different, and the channel owner laughs and thinks it be funny to mess with people to deceive em to get em to watch. Well, you ain't like that F.T., and you are honest, and don't use tricks to get folks to watch your videos, y'all just speak plain and are truthful about what all is goin on on your ranch. I appreciate honesty and straight talkin. I admit your videos that have to do with any of the animals are my favorites.😊 But I like all your videos. God bless you and your family sir.
Farmer Tyler is easy to listen too, he doesn't complain like some of the others do !
Thanks for the kind words! I personally despise clickbait type titles and told myself I would never do that. So I appreciate you noticing!
Welcome to The FTR Family My Dear!! It’s awesome to have you come along ❤
I love today’s episode!
One: “They really like it when you fluff it up for em.”
Two: The anvil stand maybe could use a piece of aluminum sheeting? Looks great though. Beats hurting your knee caps!
Three: Callie is still waitin to go on a ride in the 4x
😅🤣😂
Love to you all Tyler!
You won't be disappointed in FTR channel !
😊❤@@farmertylerranch4399
Cali the inspector each time you move a bail of hay. She takes her job seriously. 😊
She does indeed
The cause of the rivets breaking on your trailer, is due to the aluminum structural flexing. The fact that there is enough shearing stress to break them, means they were actually a strengthening addition in the first place. A good thing to help prevent those cracked welds elsewhere. I would up the rivets to the next size larger or just go with bolts.
Cali put a smile on my face. She is so cute sitting in that seat.
I think it’s great for you to get all of your tools and machines up off the floor. You work in there so much, you deserve to have everything set up for your convenience. 😊
Thanks Julia! Little by little we’ll get there!
Sometimes the completion of those little, seemingly unimportant but nagging projects can bring the most satisfaction. I felt your sigh of contentment when that anvil stand was done. 😊
Another good video to enjoy. The anvil stand makes life so much easier on the poor back.
Can I suggest to bed the anvil on rubber or a good layer of silicone. This dampens the sharp ringing of the anvil so you don’t go deaf. 👍
Wise beyond your years. Many of us could use the advice of waiting.
Often times it’s easier said than done!
Good to see the anvil is proudly on its pedestal! Your Grandpa would be proud! Shop is coming along! Good post FTR!
Excellent FT. Your ingenuity never ceases to amaze me. It’s neat how Callie sits patiently in the side by side as you work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! She’s a good helper!
I'm never happier than when I switch on my Tablet, go to Notifications and Farmer Tyler Ranch is top of the list. 👍👍👍 🙏♥️💯💯💯💯♥️🙏
Wow, thanks!
The shop is coming along nicely and the cows are looking good have a good day .
I love that one month rule!!I'm going to adopt that!
It has served me well!
Good morning from Texas Farmer T. Getting organized, tightening loose ends before the rain makes for a good Farmer T video. Stay safe, strong, healthy, discerning and successful in the name of Jesus ☝ 🙏 🙌 💪. Blessings to you and family for all your needs, goals and family projects. ❤👍
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Love the variety in this video. Anvil stump turned out great! No more getting on the floor to use it. Littles and cows look content. Great impulse control with purchases. Not bad if there’s only one time that it didn’t work in your favor.
Good idea to check the brake pads yourself. Garages try to get owners to change the brakes to get your money.
Callie wants to go for a ride!!!
Yayyy another video uploaded by my fav UA-camr ❤his channel should be way higher in subs love watching him go about his chores !!he is such a hard worker !!!watching this as can not go outside it’s snowing out here and cold brrrr
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the videos!
Your shop is really shaping up to look really nice and tidy.
Have a great day.
Great anvil stump !!!!
Thanks!
Yay !! New Tools coming. 👍👍💚
Been a subscriber for several year’s I made the stand for my Father’s anvil out of 8x8 oak post. Put another ban on the bottom it will vibrate apart after time. You’re a wonderful man with a lovely family. God Bless
Your channel is my regular go to cos your content is really good.I had the same experience with an AR7 .22 semi automatic rifle.I had the chance to buy it but dithered about and when I finally went to buy it,it was sold.Dammit
Thank you! Yeah it’s a bummer when that happens
I don't mean to tell you stuff you already know, but just in case. Your bottle calf needs constant access to your triticale hay. The protein on the alfalfa is very high, use it more as a supplement. Somewhat like when they're on rich green grass they seek out some straw or really stalky dry matter to slow their guts down.
I so much enjoy seeing your projects.
I think you might have missed the video where FTR moved the calf. Littles has plenty of dry hay.
@@anneoreilly4900 I understand he did when he first moved him in there. that will quickly be pooped and peed on. There needs to be a source of clean hay continually.
@@shawnh8754 Pretty sure he's been ranching long enough...
@@anneoreilly4900 He's also open minded and willing to learn as evidenced by him asking questions. If there's anything farming teaches you, it's you're always able to learn something new. I see in his next video he's feeding him triticale fresh every day, so that takes care of that. Have a nice day.
Love seeing the green grass, we have snow and - 20 C but a Chinook is coming
Your shop is coming together it's looking very good thank you for the video
Have a great Thursday!
Thanks, you too!
Those rear brakes are fine. Rears last 3-4 times longer than fronts.
You are correct on the brake pad. Rear brakes last longer than the fronts.
I am an L1 Technician, I agree that those pads are perfectly fine. The rear pads wear half as much as the front pads. The front pads do most of the braking. My guess would be that they just looked through the rims and didn't actually pull the wheel to check the brakes. Either that or they are trying to cheat you.
Good afternoon Tyler, I seen you got your truck back thank you for the video
That’s a really nice stand for your anvil. The funny thing that’s on my list, but have a Monarch lathe and a that I bought in college sitting in the garage.
I really like your Anvil stand, thanks for showing us.
Thank you!
I will make this Idea in the future, thanks again.
Future project idea - a carport somewhere that you can park vehicles under while you are working on them. would keep you out of the rain and sun
That would be pretty nice!
Love cows😊
I loved todays video. It’s fun just hanging out and seeing what happens! These rainy days change the pace and you’ve accomplished quite a bit. Sure do like the “wait a month” guideline on purchases.
Hi good morning Tyler from Indiana
QUESTION: do you think the bottle calf has grown? I think it has but I’m not sure because we’re only seeing him on a video. So Tyler what do you think?
Organization. Got to love it. Yes, it’s the best. I always feel better and more productive when everything has a place and everything is in their places. It’s a fun process to watch.
I’m not sure. It’s hard because I see him every day. He has to have grown a bit right?
@ I believe so, yes.
Thanks for sharing farmer Tyler ranch I enjoyed the video
Glad you liked it!
I was wondering why you didn't fill up the hay wagon . You could have pulled them out & stacked them for when they needed another bale, less fuss. The shop is starting to looking good.
Thanks 😊
You are a good calf daddy!!!!
Thanks Tyler,peace brother…
Keep Rocking Farmer Tyler. U know how and when to Get It Done. Luv it!
Thank you!
good vid. thanks for sharing
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Always thinking...😊
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ appreciate you sharing your work day ❤ I have the same mishaps I waited to long❤ you snooze you lose❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@farmertylerranch4399 I always look forward to every episode
10:21 I just ran into the same thing last night. Dealer told a friend he needed new pads and rotors turned. When I changed the pads everything was fine. The pads still had half the material. 😡
Hi Tyler and beautiful family ❤❤❤❤
Just a thought for the grinder, take an old tire rim and weld a 4 inch pipe and set the height needed and then weld a plate on top to set the grinder on?
Fluffy hay tastes way better! Thank you for another enjoyable video!
You make every task look so easy. Edited im syre but alway a beautiful job.
I heard your name on Chad Doss's - Doss Farms last night. He's a big fan of you (and so am I) and speaks highly of you and your abilities. FYI - Me Too
Chad is a good guy!
After you get a lathe find a used milling machine you will never regret it best to things I have in the shop after a welder, enjoy all your videos.
Oh yeah that’s next on the list!
Great video FT😊 I seem to remember a past video where u started on an outdoor kitchen for Mrs FTR? Did that get finished? Are u enjoying it or did it end up not really worth it
Still in progress. You know how it goes!
@ haha! Oh how I do🤪 you be sure to show us if you complete it!
Thx
Your so smart.
Wish I had your impulse control on new purchases!
It’s not always easy!
Chad was talking about you yesterday. Said he was going to list your info in his posting. Didn’t look cause already here. Like that you are organizing your shop. Trying to do the same thing. I need to get rid of a lot of the tools I can’t use any longer. I have no metal lathe for you darn. Thanks.
Chad is a good guy! Thanks Linda!
Brake pads look good.
11:23 I bought a set of torque sticks from harbor freight. Makes installing wheels soooo much faster and easier.
Lathe be great investment you can make lot things yourself that cost lot to buy your very smart guy ,so I'm sure you hav great time making stuff
tyler, regarding your brakes, I have an f350 drw and I got almost 190k on my original brakes. I had about 50/50 highway miles towing a RV and in town/local driving
Wow! My truck has 100k on it and those are probably original pads. I’ve done the fronts once already but good to know it’s not unheard of to get that mileage on the rear. Thanks!
Mount the bench grinder to a piece of oil pipe on top of a disc blade. You will appreciate having the minimalist pipe and not the spread of legs to work around.
Roofing sheet self tapping metal screws will let it move alittle bit but not brake off. That's what I did to my trailer
Great video.
"They really like it when you fluff it up for 'em"
Bench grinder can be attached to a steel plate attached to a steel pole attached to an old wheel and tire for easy moving.
I did the same thing on my tailor years ago and used hardened rivets.
I bet we've all got a "the one that got away" story. I get burned watching good deals on Craig's List / Marketplace. If it's a good deal, you're got 24hrs to pull the trigger. If it's amazing you got 1hr. :)
would love to see the old tractor cieaned and painted
Good morning. It looks like a rainy day.
I recall the episode when the sheets were installed.
large head steel rivets with steel backer washers
That what a good story about the Winchester. 😁
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ appreciate you sharing your day to day work life❤ did you ever thought about doing who breed who on your bulls❤you said you was going to separate your heifers that Rivet sired ❤did you do that I wish you would do a video or live stream ❤thank you❤
Haven’t separated anyone yet. I’ll definitely show what I’m doing with all that when the time comes!
@ thank you 🙏 feeling a lot better..thank you again responding
A lathe is handy. I spent $400 on a combine idler at a machine shop I could have done myself. Found a South Bend 9 inch with a 36 inch bed and both 4 and 3 jaw chucks for $780 at an online auction. Hope you can find one to. Be safe out there we need you.
I had access to one at a job I had years ago. It was crazy how often it came in handy!
Riveter’s owner riveting 😊
Just don’t call me Rosy!
And Calli sits there so patiently thinking "WHO IS HE TALKING TO?"
Haha she’s used to it!
Good morning from Idaho❤
Morning from California!
Needed some cow therapy today.
Cow's "hips"....😂
Quickest too
Come running they did!😅
Historically Northern California's Wettest Months are February and March. Looks to be true so far this year.
It’s been a wet one for sure!
Do not use an anvil with cold steel. The anvil is hardened and may chip or break. Make a mild steel cover for the face of the anvil to work cold steel
I was wondering if you could convert two of those unused bins I noticed in an earlier episode to hay bail storage containers for the winter pasture--might save you some time/effort.
Thanks for your videos!
On the rear brakes with disc brakes, you also have drum brakes for your emergency brake.
❤
I've learned over my lifetime that buying firearms are like city busses, miss one then just wait awile and another one you want will come along. If you don't already have that Winchester Model 94,(18:21), there's one somewhere with you name on it waiting for you to find it and bring it home (yes, even in California) Respectfully, W.S.
That’s a good way to look at it
The missing 94 was the universe telling you to get a marlin 336. 😛
That’s actually exactly what I did haha!
Are you using stainless rivet’s,they tend to last a little longer
Nice job!!The stump looks nice and rustic! The floor is probably un even there?
It's pretty uneven! So you’re probably right
@farmertylerranch4399 You are great to watch keep it up!
You should be cool now and wrap an old heavy chain around your anvil now like the pros do haha but yeah that would be cool
💖💖💖💖💖
Top of the anvil knuckles high.
You might look at Savage 99 lever action in 300 or 308 calibers made mid 64 & earlier that have quality manufacturing.
I ended up getting a marlin 336
Just wondering, have you ever accidentally hurt any of your cattle when you are pitching the Hay with your pitchfork?
No I haven’t. I’m very mindful of that while I’m doing it
It appears that your cats are doing a good job. Poor Callie isnt getting to have near as much fun chasing unwanted rodents with bale moving as she used to. Shes sure a good supervisor though!😊
Belt sand the top of your new stand
