Well, you fell right on time because I'm soon to be finished with a remix of "Heavy Price Paid". I like to do this because every time I do a halo remix, I'm awed by the original artist's inspiration and emotional feeling behind his songs. 2 or 3 days left until final release. []^_^[]
so, I came by a ReMix (read the comment on the difference). You had already redone one of my favorite songs of all the halo series, In Amber Clad. So I chose a random song to follow it up, and it just so happens to another one I like as much as that. Both were EXCELLENT in my opinion. II've heard a lot of music, and ALL of the halo music, and know that these would have been just as good on the soundtrack. Thank you for being EPIC
k, thanks, and i feel the same way when I "try" to make remixes. Either way, just listening to the original music and remixes gives me a feel of the artists feelings and emotions.
I download the mp3 file, find the exact tempo, then, start from scratch and try to reproduce every single existing notes by ear and interpret them at my own leisure. I never use samples from the original file. They are only a reference. So, i guess I'm doing the same thing you said. []^_^[]
hey, in fl studio (dono which version you use) there is a filter called love filter and it has a base setting stereozize (or something) witch is asome enough, you could have used it here.
You are darn right you know. I'm sure you are talking about "Silverhalo" and "Fury to fire". They are great songs and result of an old Halo ReMix contest wich they ended up 1st and 2nd if I'm not mistaken. Both songs could be better, as well as all of my songs too. I accept your wise comment. There is much better around. Of course I need to improve but i need time, more samples and more money for this to happen... it will i think. Thank you! (No thumb down on this guy guys!)
oh, lepape, do you normally take an mp3 file or song from soundtrack and edit it most of the time? If you do, then its no wonder I have so much trouble remixing songs. I don't take the songs and edit em, i should though.
Honestly what he means is that the synth-type violin part was ruined a bit. I can see where he's coming from. If you made it a bit deeper in tone, it would be EPIC though.
@Sn1p3rSh4wn Yah, not stereo, no double octave, no sample quality, and possible out of tune/key notes. When I listen back to old song, I realize how bad they actually sound. As long as people enjoy it at least a little, songs will stay on UA-cam.
Well, with the original version, forget about trying to find these kind of sounds. Just downloaded a lot, so don't be surprised. Look for .SF2 or .SFARK & plugin files. Good luck ;)
@wesleyroyer YES!!! A bad comment... and a legitimate one. Started learning piano not so long ago and this chord makes me want to delete this and start over. Thanks for the input.
"2 Keys mixed into one song"? heh? If its a detuned note you hear, I don't hear it. I still not have a perfect ear but I don't have ANY musical formation... except 3 years of guitar from a looong time ago. Sorry to have disturbed your mood for this song []^_^[]
Nah, im not really up for it right now... besides, a LOT of others have already made remixes of this particular song. So they deserve the honnor. I'm also swamped by 5-6 songs at the same time. I'm sorry. Good idea though []^_^[]
0:40 Wonderful
lepape, plz make many many more halo remixes, you are absolutely the best there is!!!! OMG, I NEED YOUR TALENT!!

Really nicely done! Thanks to your link, I can now listen to this on my iPod. ^^ You gotta do more Halo-remixes.

wow, on fruity loops? this is amazing!
It's not an official name. Plus, it sounds weird if you understand french.
Thx for the comments guys!
Well, it's a 20min ride north to get here. Alors oui bien sur, je suis de là. Pourquoi?

SoundFont®-demos from Papelmedia (7 of 150 instruments), 7 SF2 Files with an "Ahhh choir" in it ;)
Just google "papelmedia" and you'll find it.

This is the best remix (besides your Under Cover Of Night remix) of halo from anyone i know!

Their website closed not so long ago... I'll delete the links.

Isn't the name Duty Bound?
i use FL Studio 7 as well, but can never seem to get the instruments to sound like this. I should really practice with it a little.
Me Myself and I heh...
