Its trash. You are going radiance anyway after meteor hammer and after radiance you are not using meteor hammer anymore except for pushing. Honestly HOTD is better since creep aura is super good even until late game and is also useful on fights unlike meteor hammer where you have to have someone set up for you to meteor hammer
@@freekear I don't agree as Spectre usually farms and wants to join with Haunt so creep is never there with you. 2nd thing is that Meme Hammer gives mana regen. Spectre doesn't need armor early. Thanks to dagger you can also "play Treant Protector" defending towers with Hammer from trees. Also Spectre isn't the best pusher and Hammer helps with it. HoD is better on offlane heroes I think.
I was all about meme hammer spectre at the start of the patch but to be honest it hasn't work for me just yet and BSJ also commented that he didn't felt good on that game
Then you obviously weren’t using it properly or bought it in the wrong game or picked specter in the wrong draft, the item fixes all problems spectre has except mana regeneration. It’s an amazing item and are you really gonna listen to BSJ for advice lmao

@@shivasubramaniam3157 i think he is decent but if you are gonna listen to anyone listen to the pro players who are actually relevant and support using the item in certain games, its not an every game purchase but it definitely feels good and gives much needed stats in lane.

Okay so I attempted this in a draft vs a QOP, Sky, DK, lineup for heroes with some catch potential and no lie it met the expectations in the video. As a disclaimer Spectre is one of my top picked heroes, and had a really great support feeding me kills and allowing me to farm in lane. Though I was playing from ahead, it definitely performed to provide the mana and health regen, some additional hp bulk. And that cooldown is way to short as it feels right now. Great transitional item to radiance, normally i would go hood for the comp i was facing, and this felt great. Ended up 13-1 in a 32 minute win

With the change to blademail dealing passive damage when attacked, do you think spectre could go for that build if the lineup is more fight oriented? From what I can see meteor hammer is a good farming item but doesnt help as much in a team fight
Blademail was really good on spectre in a fight oriented game even before the passive change
This translates over to Ability Draft too. If you end up drafting a Melee or Ranged Creep, Meteor hammer is a nice audible.
Gonna try this spec build. and post the result tomorrow.

farm efficient, push /defend tower, safe farming, the 2 creeps lose by this method doesn't feel like anything when you include all the benefit, and not to ention you can just meme hammer the lane creep and just leave to hit the neutral
You can clear waves faster then go nc or other lane

hotd is good. I just think meme hammer scales much better
hotd gives you no mana regen and while the creep is nice for tanking jungle damage you can't really use your creep in fights since most of the time you will be using haunt. It is cheaper and gives gud stats though

@@fritzgo1078 doesn't meme hammer give even better push? I recently played this build and 1st game I didn't understand it. 2nd game I played vs creepcutting Centaur. I literally hammered every wave and farmed big camp in a meanwhile with full health. Dominator is a good item but I think it's better on heroes that don't have mana problem and need more armor.
I play in the 4K bracket and helm will probably do you more good in that bracket or lower. You won’t have teammates flaming your item choice and you can depush and farm one lane the whole game without being there.
Hotd is a greedy and safer pickup if you dont want to show on lane,the change in hotd makes the creep to have perma buff instead of the old aura thing where the buff wear off when the creep wander too far. thus you can farm jungle while keeping the lane push in with a tomato without fear of dying, downside is you dont get xp from lane creep
hammer, hotd, vlads, drums, they are all very good now.. i dont even know what to buy when i play carry.
but the then soul ring wraith bands are bad now

I really wanted memehammer spectre to work (also tried it out) but unlike necrobook it delays the radiance to 20-23 mins and after that you don't use it anyways.
You might get better timings by farming stacked ancients and you can take the T1 tower farster after winning an early fight.
I'd rather go HoD -> Radiance if I can play more passively or (BM) -> Manta -> Difu if the team needs me earlier.

It seems to me that 7.27 brought back the old "Buy dominator LULW, take a creep LULW, farm with the creep and stack LULW". I have seen it several times already across multiple streams. Last one was on Gorgc´s stream, he played pos 1 Spectre and just went for dominator and I could not believe how fast the farm picked up. This item is more than good I think.

meme hammer is already good before this patch. u start with sage mask and ring of regen as pos 4 (which give good sustainability) and wait 10 mins. i own most of game with mirana meme hammer. now it have better stats core players can start using them

an old thing is orchid rush on wyvern, i tried it and its extra good. but very situational and you have to free farm for quite some time

Maybe wraithbands are worse on agility cores, but i actually think they are great on strength heroes who quite often struggle with armor

Bowie, i thought about meteor hammer for spec too, but to be honest i think Dominator + Soul ring is the best way right know since it gives you good stats, some armor and it works like the necronomicon build that you can clear jungle really fast.
Paulo Poffo HoD medalion is also good for farming
HoD + Soulrig = almost 3k gold and Meme Hammer 2350. The problem with only HoD is that you don't have mana regen and you want to use Dagger for securing range creeps and farming jungle. That was one of the reasons Necrobook was so good. With HoD you can do it with any captured range creep but it takes you to farm 2k+ gold item. While with Meme Hammer build you can ger 3x mango that gives more hp regen than Ring of Regen and buy Void Stone first. Then you upgrade it to Perserverance and there is no chance that someone will push you out of lane. Don't get me wrong Meme Hammer won't cover all your mana problems but you won't end with no mana after using Haunt and Dagger. The other problem with HoD is that you don't need this 6 armor early. Spectre has very good starting armor. You also rarely use your creep in fights as you farm with it and then join with Haunt and creep has to run towards you.
But spec dominator is also a things now with the dominator reworked

You think meteor is better then dominator for farm? I tried dominator Spectre is insane. The creep is so strong

What about the return of Badman build? Urn Drums? Drums is super cheap now and those two combined are similar price to Meteor hammer. You also don't just waddle around in fights and can actually catch up to enemy heroes and do damage instead of just farming and praying your team 4v5. I worry that you're also unable to properly join ganks with your haunt early/mid game with just a meteor hammer which admittedly looks like a fun farming item, doesn't help with much else
As long as haunt has that long of a cd drums is a waste because the active is good but you won't be around to use the active that often.

I like being able to hit towers with meteor hammer. It is not that relevant for spectre, but any caster that needs farm will have his siege capabilities improved. I'm going to try this with Doom when I get the chance.
Edit: Just did it and found pretty good, insane farm and pushing power. Better than Necro in some aspects because of perseverance.
I really want try MH on CK for similar reasons.

U don't need Meme hammer on this hero to make up for the wraith band soul ring changes, you just need ring of perseverance alone. You can get the stats from treads and wraith bands. Meteor Hammer is a mediocre farming tool, a solid tower pushing tool, but a very bad fighting tool outside of like 3 heroes who can set it up. I don't think anyone has tried to see if a nerfed Necrobook 1 is still a better option than Meteor Hammer. Like I sincerely think that Necrobook 1 is still capable getting more farm than Meteor Hammer even doing half the dmg vs creeps. Maybe u just have to micro the creeps more when they are in a wave, and tank for the necrons more in the jungle.

Actually did this in one of my first games of the patch. Ended up losing, but honestly meme hammer was what kept me in the game, farm wise.

i really want to see from pro to buy maelstrom for farming item of spectre because i think this is a decent item for him he lack damage and attack speed but he got movementspeed i think going maelstrom is good for him both in early clash and farming because he got extra damage in farming and can kill support easily without depending on KS or for your 1st. and in late game you can go mjolnr no boost your damage and more attack speed for your illusion imagine the attack speed and damage Dealt to the hero plus you have abbysal its like you are playing magina but more stronger and more carrier.

Yea i agree to a certain extent. With creep u can stack camps, provide extra utility, and farm faster as well. Thing with meme hammer thats better is the wave clear and the allowance to let u save dagger until u need to escape or move out of lane.

This. Felt it still farmed so slow when hitting jungle creeps. I feel buffed hotd creep can still be useful for farming since the ghost, wolves and some other creeps deal piercing. And most of the hard camp creeps deal hero dmg which can also be used to pressure towers.
