In response to that one comment saying SAM never used swords during the quests, during the 2.0 Trailblazer Quest, after Firefly gets stabbed, you follow a trail of destruction clearly left in the wake of SAM. Examining the bodies triggers a dialogue box saying how the bodies were damaged by some sort of thermic weapon. While yes, we didn’t SEE the swords, this does mean that she very much had the ability to pull them out.
