What I love about Reba McEntire is that she sings songs that really hit you hard...they're not always the "easy" songs to do, but they need to be done and she rises to it.
This song makes me think of how things were when my parents divorced. I was only nine years old, and bewildered by the surroundings. My dad's new girlfriends and wives, and my mom's new boyfriends and husbands, as well as their kids from previous relationships. It was all new to me. The one thing that saved me from being driven insane was my schooling, which also changed. I kept my mind on my studies, and they kept me going. I also kept the faith that my parents would eventually get over themselves, and give their relationship another try. Flash forward to 2004, the year I turned 21. My long wished for wish came true. My mom and dad found themselves single again, and decided to give me what I wished for as a child. They stayed such a way for the last 11 years of dad's life, and mom still carries the love she had for him in her heart that started all those years ago.
Wow!!! Reba sure knows how to sing her songs with a lot of heart!! She's one of the best female country musicians ever. She is in my opinion!! And that voice of hers!!! My goodness!!! Reba, we love you!!!!
This looks like a video from the night she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry! I've never seen video...just pics from the night! Listen to that perfect voice...man it just give me chills!
Can't believe she choked up towards the end:'( not too crazy about the hair, but her voice is unstoppable!!! When she sings, the world puts its listening ears on just to hear her wonderful voice!!! Reba, I wish the best of luck in future performances!! Miss Morgan
Thanks for replying. I think I saw some footage of Reba performing at the Grand Ole Opry in the late 90s on youtube somewhere. She should visit the Opry again!
I think she was singing more about her sister, Susie's marriage. Susie had three kids, and was having probllems in her marriage, even way back then. She finally divorced in 2007 I think, after about 27 years of marriage.
@YourTvTube I sure hope you find the whole show. I would love to see her invite to the opry, REBA is my all time favorite. I would pay to see her sing the phonebook, lol. She is awesome!

Reba hit #1 with the studio version in Billboard, 5-11-85. God bless ya, Miss Reba!
Beautiful song and voice. Reba is incredible, and incredible talented!
My favorite Reba song. She owns this song!
Reba is one of the few singers who actually sounds better live than on her records. There's no Autotune here!
I love thus Woman my favorite Country Female Artist.
Beautiful and timeless! She sounds the same, if not better today. Thanks Reba for understanding your songs and feeling the music!

She is standing on, once what was the old part of the stage, from the Ryman Auditorium. At the time, it was the Grand Ole Opry in 1986.
