It's worth noting that these crypto/NFT scams usually come from 3rd World Countries, where English isn't indeed their mother tongue. So, they blatantly rip off well known 1st world country IP's, in hopes nobody from there notices. That's why they do it. Because nobody from a 1st World Country in their right mind would do it, because they are well aware of the consequences.
Unsurprising how an "industry" rife with people stealing the content of artists and the likenesses of content creators creates a game where it is so painfully obvious that its basis, its art style, and its assets are also stolen.
Their next online game is going to star a character named Commander Jeopard, with his companions the Azari named Tiara and Gorian named Dali. It will be about robots from dark space called Leapers
The devs act exactly in the same way scammers do when you call them out. Even when you have literal video/photo evidence right in their face about being a scam, they will deny it up and down.
Sooo when one person uses 10 seconds of copyright music, they got shot down - banned, deleted, all their money taken. But then those duffuses straight up copied assets. What were they thinking?
I think the problem is NFTs are driven by speculators and “investors” who don’t really have creative ideas and created by lazy conmen. So it’s not really an environment that breeds creativity or even ethics.
Exactly, its all people looking for the next big score, and no one with the creative juices to actually use NFTs in a creatively entertaining way to justify a game revolving around it. Of course, that's assuming its something that could ever be conceived in the first place.

No, it's way more blatant, at least the Gumball people animated their own show. I don't think people are really understanding what they did, they actually datamined the original Paladins Strike game and might have as well been running a private server. All they did pretty much palette swap the characters and change their names, this is not just plagiarism, it's outright stealing assets and code.
@@luchalujano2729 Basically my thoughts. It's a damn pity that hirez took like 75% of paladins's funding away to make the actual garbage game called "Rogue Company" *vomit* Based on the downward trend of the game in 2019 close when Atlas released, it's about 2 years before Rogue Company released and around the time Apex Legends first teased in mid-late 2018. Hirez as they always do, chased the hypetrain that was made by Apex and decided that making their own game was a good idea, and was pushed further by the absolute initial success of Valorant. So, they have 3 options of games to siphon money off of. SMITE, but that game actually is their money making machine that everyone plays a lot. Realm Royale, but --- oh wait Hirez killed that game by making the actual most garbage changes. And then we come to Paladins...the middle child that is in an awkward place. I'm almost certain the directors at Hirez made a gamble and thought that based on the success of Valorant and Apex, that they would make more money by cutting off Paladins and funding Rogue Company. And in October 2020, Rogue Company releases and flops after 5 months. It's very laughable how much money hirez lost doing this shit and annoying how paladins has to suffer due to higherup directors making actual garbage decisions. Great game, bad directors. I have no beef with Evil Mojo or any paladins devs, the money grubbing maggots in Hirez actually need to stop chasing trends and killing their (somehow) banger titles :(
1:02 Wait- in one of the images they said they got $25mill in M&A from a Singapore fund? What the fuck? Do they expect to just make a game with the least amount of money possible and pocket the rest? And yes, like the Beanie we saw, they were foolish enough to show the editor full screen, where you can see the name of the file assets are still..... their Paladins names. Bro, I'm playing Paladins since 2017 (5 years), and I really can't believe someone actually had the balls to steal from them. Friendly reminder that NFTS are for losers too.
NFTs and other crypto trends are business first, that's the main problem when applying it to games, we have enough with live services and microtransactions, there's no need to make it the central focus on forms of entertainment as videogames. This is just the future of scams, whales, pyramid schemes and more. It's disgusting, someone needs to kill all of this before it goes to the hands of the general public.
@@awildmoose6541 Is it a ripoff? Or is Paladins just its own type of hero shooter. I had no idea the dying OW franchise had such a monopoly on the genre.
I find it so funny that the whole initial marketing around NFTs was to allow digital work to remain unique and identifiable, and to protect artists when in reality it has been almost entirely cheap copies of the same artwork or other peoples artwork.
All these plagiarised NFT games were probably made by people freshly graduated from high school, and who thus far managed to get away with this sort of plagiarism without facing the appropriate consequences. I hope they nail them to the wall.

I'm not surprised at this. Video games tend to "borrow inspiration" from each other (remember the Chinese TF2 and Overwatch knockoffs?), and NFTs are scams that steal original work and try to sell it off for money they don't deserve. I suppose it was inevitable they tried to make an NFT game that ripped off an existing video game. Still, nice to see such blatant idiots get slapped down for once, even if it's clear they didn't learn a goddamn thing. And the pen writing on a piece of paper? Really? I suspect this "company" is just two guys in a seedy office somewhere with a couple of PCs and a farming server.
11:50 So they just told us that the next game isn't going to steal from Paladin Strike, not that they weren't going to steal art assets. It was a tricky way to say it, but that is pretty much exactly what they said.
You should see their latest post, they said their artist made another 'original' thing despite being completely ripped off from Raum. I really wish we had a way to see what is going on in the heads of these individuals, it's so fascinating how they believe everything they say.
The fact that roadmaps have become marketable features shows how sad modern gaming has become Like a scammer will straight up make a false roadmap because they think it somehow lends credence to their scam
What is the point of hiding the evidence when the wayback machine can provide it in its entirety ? They are just going to make the lawsuit's restitution greater.
I have a friend that worked on an NFT launch 2 months ago, and someone from the company that he was working for here in brisbane tried to rip off the work, and get this they even listed it for auction on the same platform at the same time. im not going to say who the company was but they were quickly reminded of there responsibilities to the artists etc and was pulled down. but get this NOT BEFORE THE AUCTION can you fucking believe it wow
1:10 yeah that's straight up Paladins. Going from left to right; Makoa, Ash, Viktor, Kinessa then Drogoz. And the logo even has the same diamond emblem and letters as Paladins.
I’m loving the NFTs dying, especially due to incompetence. I’d say, even if these stolen assets were worth anything IRL, the hilarity from the drama it’s causing is worth it’s weight in gold. I can’t wait for somebody to mint all of this as an NFT, it’ll be so meta and everyone will still be clowning these guys.
I've made a point, anything that exists ONLY on the internet or computer is not a real investment. Crypto, NFTs, digital "land" and I'm sure we'll see more things like those, only "exist" so long as the power is on, you have a working computer, and the server storing your "investment" is still being run. The second one of those disappears, you investment may as well not exist.
Thanks for taking the time to talk about this issue, not many people want to be associated with Paladins in any way, not even acknowledging its existence
This was a scam once NFT's were mentioned... But adding the stolen assets and artwork on top of that manages to make it all even more pathetic. I hope this doesn't become a recurring theme. It's disgusting.
I'll be honest. I kinda hope it does become a recurring theme. Because the more crap like this happens, the less NFTs become a legitimate thing. The more bad press NFTs get, the less it'll be profitable.
This isn't new. A while ago, I spotted and reported Ark of War for ripping off assets from EVE Online. Say the ads on GP, instantly noticed they were using a slightly modified version of the Avatar (Amarr Titan) as one of their flagships. XD They ripped off the Retriever, Avatar and Brutix in their ad.\ Screen shots and an email to CCP a few moments later. Haven't seen the ad since.
Oh good lord….. it’s like a kid who ate from the cookie jar, and keeps insisting that he didn’t, while he’s eating the cookie!! It’s so, painful and stupidly obvious….. 🤦♂️
This is like if I stole a character from someone but put a different color without any changes or effort... I'd be backlashed to hell and back, they're not even trying to hide it, or they have a hate fetish Also, wasn't there a place where they banned Crypto mining because it took so much power that people couldn't heat up?
the UI in the screenshots were the UI of Paladins Strike. They weren't trying to make a game out of stolen assets. Either they somehow got their hands on the Paladins Strike source code and renamed the texts. Or they don't have a game at all and photoshopped some screenshots from Paladins Strike.
There's an NFT game using League of Legends assets for their promotions advertising on Facebook. I think the name is "League of Warriors" or something like that. They're clearly using the Summoner's Rift map and "variants" of Sona and Katarina in their promos.
also for reference the 'map' on the website you visited was concept art of a map from the game that I assume sense they slapped the text on top off they was going to make to much work for them to remove
NFTs are like wet paper, it don't last and will never be worth anything after it falls apart. If I were a developer I would actively consider an NFT of anything I own existing to be theft. Mostly because I would NEVER allow or agree to it.
The only thing that comes to mind when I hear about this kind of stuff happening to these NFT companies is this: "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?!" These companies just refuse to learn that they will keep getting hit with copyright infringement claims if they keep doing stupid stuff like this.
now that we have come together to denounce this as a community in the spirit of web 3, maybe the nft wars will finally end, followed by an era of unprecedented nft peace. the nfts we lost in battle may be gone, but they will definitely be forgotten
I heard it's from their "own" china based team whatever conspiracy shit you guys are on But for real who cares if they become a victim of NFT bs it's not magically gonna revive a dead game when valo exists
When you say "NFT game", game should always be in quotes. Because it's not a game. It can't be. Anyway, this isn't surprising. NFT's themselves are a scam. So it doesn't surprise me one bit that an NFT "game" is all plagarized assets. It's good to see actual PROPER use of the copyright takedown system for once though!
Yeah, and the internet is used for easier trafficking and conducting phishing scams.. Just because the internet paves way for weirdos and pedophilia to exist DOES NOT mean the internet as a whole is a Ponzi scheme. 🤦♂️ Look at a genuine crypto asset like XRP as an example. You don’t have the likes of Rosie Rios as one of many individuals spearheading Ripple and XRP behind the scenes ON TOP of Standard Charted and Santander etc all committing to Ripple and crypto technology if this was all a Ponzi scheme. If crypto and NFT’s were a scam you wouldn’t have the Bank of England and it’s accelerator program accept XRP/Ripple to help the next generation of RTGS payments infrastructure. Nor would you have the Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority accept Ripple/XRP as its infrastructure innovation partner. XRP as a crypto WILL change how we conduct payments. Google is for search and XRP WILL be the equivalent for remittances. It may come as a shock to you, but bad eggs resides in all walks of life. M0rons like you need to wake up and smell the roses! 🤡

Two things
1- "Glory hero" is a really poor choice of name since it's very close to "glory hole"
2- There's already a game called "Glory of the Hero"
Unsurprising how an "industry" rife with people stealing the content of artists and the likenesses of content creators creates a game where it is so painfully obvious that its basis, its art style, and its assets are also stolen.
Yeah. Why can't they build a product, then buy out their competitors like normal markets do?

“NFTs cannot create only corrupt and destroy.” This topic in a nutshell.

It's a damn pity that hirez took like 75% of paladins's funding away to make the actual garbage game called "Rogue Company" *vomit*
Based on the downward trend of the game in 2019 close when Atlas released, it's about 2 years before Rogue Company released and around the time Apex Legends first teased in mid-late 2018.
I have no beef with Evil Mojo or any paladins devs, the money grubbing maggots in Hirez actually need to stop chasing trends and killing their (somehow) banger titles :(

the UI in the screenshots were the UI of Paladins Strike.

NFTs are like wet paper, it don't last and will never be worth anything after it falls apart. If I were a developer I would actively consider an NFT of anything I own existing to be theft. Mostly because I would NEVER allow or agree to it.
The only thing that comes to mind when I hear about this kind of stuff happening to these NFT companies is this:

The art theft is a depressing one, there's even a dead girl someone impersonated and sold her work as NFTs.
Yeah, and the internet is used for easier trafficking and conducting phishing scams.. Just because the internet paves way for weirdos and pedophilia to exist DOES NOT mean the internet as a whole is a Ponzi scheme. 🤦♂️
Look at a genuine crypto asset like XRP as an example.
