Cherry pie filling!! Best topping for crepes ever! Some times when my mom makes cherry pie she does it in a way that is almost like my dad's crepes with the filling. So good, we would have these on Sunday before church all the time. True childhood memory!
My favorite crepes are lemon sugar which is just a little bit of granulated sugar when its hot so melts a little then some lemon juice and it is delicious
I absolutely LOVE sweet crêpes! I've been wanting them for a long time; now I want them even more! At some point maybe... Mm! Good video; very cute! I would love to see more cooking videos from you guys for sure! Stay awesome peeps!
There is a crepe place a few hours from where I live and they do live breakfast, meal and dessert crepes and I love their Mexican ones and their banana and nutella one. They are amazing!!
My favourite is when you cover it in lemon juice, sprinkle lots of sugar and then roll it up and eat like that. Its soooo good. Im from England and I think those are generic pancakes for us :) yummy.
I had some fantastic crepes when I went on a trip to Michigan to meet a really close friend of mine. One morning when I went to her house, she made homemade crepes that she had been promising us for months and months, alongside homemade bacon another friend made. They were ridiculously good, my crepe was a mix of strawberry and sugar powder, though there were other options. They were so light! She worked at a crepe shop for some time before this trip, so I think the extra training paid off in perfecting a meal she was already really good at.
Crepes are amazing and I am a sucker for the sweet ones! My two favorites when we make crepes: 1) the Plain-Jane crepes that's simply buttered and sprinkled with powdered sugar, than rolled up and munched happily and 2) the decadent Choco-Fruit for which you spread the crepe with Nutella, then fill with raspberries, strawberries, sliced bananas, and whipped cream! Yum!
I love sweet crepes! I like starting with chocolate and then putting strawberries or raspberries on it :) When I was in France, there were just crepe stands all over the side streets of Paris and you could get some genuine crepes that they cooked right in front of you!
I'll definitely try this recipe out on a weekend! I mostly eat microwaveable crepes with cut strawberries, blueberries, bananas, peanut butter or Nutella. They're not the best but the combination inside is sooo yummy! :)
i eat/make crepes a lot and just so you know amanda, those crepes looked perrfecttt, also my fave thing to put oon crepes are nutella and strawberrys then you put some whiped cream on top and put one strawberry on top of the whipped cream
My special recipe is for homemade pink lemonade and it is: 8 lemons, plus extra slices to serve 200g caster sugar, plus extra to taste 140g raspberries, plus extra to serve ice, to serve I make this a lot and it tastes really good , it is also very quick and easy to make xxxx
My mom makes these sometimes (we are Hungarian) and I always put Nutella in mine because it tases so good but that usually all I put in it,my dad usually like it with jam but me and my brother eat all the Nutella ones:)
When I have crepes (Which isn't that often unfortunately) I love having them with Nutella, whipped cream and some nuts. It's so delicious and it has a little bit of crunch. Also, Amanda, you look fabulous in that dress
We had a foreign exchange student from France & her mom came and taught our French club how to make crepes. She said that it is tradition to throw away the first crepe. Next time you should try flipping it in the pan (no spatula). As for answer I like savory crepes, ham and Swiss cheese all the way. Yummy
I really enjoyed that y'all should do more cooking with Mattanda I think the next thing you should cook it is sub sandwiches that's just my opinion 👊😊👊
So one thing I absolutely HAVE to recommend to you guys, that my family does every year, is to make thanksgiving leftover crepes. What you do is mix up all the leftovers (turkey, greens beans, sweet potatoes, etc.) with some gravy, then use that to fill the crepes. Then roll up the crepes and line them all up side by side in a glass dish which you can bake just to warm it all up a bit. Top it off with a little extra gravy and maybe some cranberry sauce, and there you go! It's an awesome (and super delicious) way to use up thanksgiving leftovers without having to repeat the same meal
My little brother makes yummy crapes. I personally like savory crapes, with bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese...very yummy and quite filling. I haven't had them in a long time, since it's difficult for me to stand for long periods of time.
So the best crepe (I use to pronounced it crap) I ever had was I think the blueberry and cream cheese from Bob Evans. It's filled with the cream cheese inside and it's covered with blueberry syrup on top. It's sooooo good, btw you guys are my new opt, love ya
Loved the video. I usually make chocolate chip cookies (every time I take them to an event, they usually disappear), but there's also a really good pumpkin snicker-doodle recipe that people enjoy. If you like pumpkin, you may like this. And, if you accidentally overcook it, it tastes like pumpkin bread, so it's a win win in my book. You'll also need parchment paper or silicone baking mats to keep them from drying out on the baking sheets. 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter 1/4 cup (50g) packed light or dark brown sugar 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar, divided 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 6 Tablespoons (86g) 1 and 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour (careful not to over-measure, it'll dry the cookies out) 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking powder (this works better if it isn't too old) 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (Instead of pumpkin pie spice, you may use 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon allspice) 1/2 cup (90g) white chocolate chips or chunks Melt the butter in the microwave. In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup granulated sugar together until no brown sugar lumps remain. Whisk in the vanilla and pumpkin until smooth. Set aside. In a large bowl, toss together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix together with a large spoon or rubber spatula. The dough will be very soft. Fold in white chocolate chips. They may not stick to the dough because of the melted butter, but do your best to have them evenly dispersed among the dough. Cover the dough and chill for 30 minutes, or up to 3 days(if you are chilling the pumpkin cookie dough for longer than 30 minutes, the cookie dough will likely have to sit on the counter at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before scooping/rolling because it will be cold and solid. The amount of time it needs to sit at room temperature depends on how long the dough has chilled. If chilled for around 24 hours, let it sit at room temperature for about 25 minutes. If you just take it out at the 30 minute mark, you don't need to let it sit). Chilling is mandatory, or the dough won't form correctly. Take the dough out of the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Roll the dough into balls, about 1.5 Tablespoons (this is what the recipe calls for, but i find that this is a little too big. I usually have the balls around 1-2 Tsp. The cook time isn't effected) of dough each. Mix together the remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Roll each of the dough balls generously in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and arrange on baking sheets. Slightly flatten the dough balls because the cookies will only slightly spread in the oven. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes (I keep it at the 8 minute mark). The cookies will look very soft and under-baked. Keeping them in the oven for longer may dry them out. Remove from the oven and press a few more white chocolate chips onto the tops, if desired (It makes them look pretty!). If you find that your cookies didn't spread much at all, flatten them out when you take them out of the oven (if you want). Allow the cookies to cool for at least 10 minutes on the cookie sheets before transferring to a wire rack. The longer the cookies cool, the chewier they will be. You may let them sit out for at least 1 hour before enjoying (or not, but it does enhance the flavor). Their chewiness and pumpkin flavor is supposed to be more prominent on day 2 (but I don't wait that long, you can just enjoy them after baking). Cookies stay soft, moist, and chewy stored at room temperature for up to 1 week. Freezing directions: Roll the chilled dough into balls and freeze in a large Ziploc bag for up to 2 months. Baked cookies may also be frozen up to 2 months.
The best crepe I ever had was a savory one it was chicken bacon ranch and I devoured it because when I have something so good so delicious I have no chill & I just go in
You should have a go at making tiffin, cake made with crushed biscuits, dried fruit, melted chocolate, all the yummy stuff and no baking! :) oreo and white chocolate tiffin is amazing!
We kind of have a similar one here, it's called Tumpi (Toom-pee). The ingredients are just, flour, pinch of salt, egg (optional) and mix them well with water. Some people add in dried anchovies, onions, veggies, dried shrimps or just plain. And some eat them just like that or dip them with curry (fish or chicken & potatoes) or with condensed milk. It's great for breakfast and/or tea time in the late evening. Also, I'm sorry that my name is too long. Just call me Tina.
I like to eat them with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and peanut butter because the first time I had one, I said that I loved berries and my mom said that I should try it with some kind of spread so I picked peanut butter because I love P.B.&J sandwiches!
I'm way late but I had crepes in Ireland and they weren't as rolled but they were packed with melted chocolate, whip cream, and strawberries. It also had syrup, cinnamon sugar and powered sugar on top. Yeah, that was for lunch
Hey Amanda, I love ur dress where did u get it if u don't mind me asking, for the question of the day I love the the crêpes i get at the sugar bush.. They are deep fried and probably not real french crêpes but they are still soooo good drenched in maple syrup
I can make a mean teriyaki venison. Any part of the deer is fine but I usually go for the ham since there's so much meat and we're adding flavor. First you want to soak the meat in vinager to soften it up and get the gamey taste out. Then cut it into cubes or strips if you want to dunk em. Let them marinate for acouple of hours and put them on a grill. You can also add corn starch to teriyaki to thicken it up and make a diping sauce. Oh also if you throw the venison in a crock pot all day you can also have some venison bbq that is off the charts.
QOTD : I like sugary and salty crepes ! When I spend time with my best friend we use to eat crepe so firstly we set salty crepes (I love ham and cheese, I put them on the crepe while it's cooking so the cheese melt and it's soooo delicious) and then for the "dessert" we eat more sugary crepes (we love melting marshmallow on some of our crepes but the best is lemon juice and sugar ! Seriously you have to try it !)
I love how while we watch them cooking we get hungry and just wants to reach into the screen and take whatever they're making 😂😂
