Powers of the president:-
∆ He is not the member of either house but is an integral part of the parliament.
∆ He is responsible to select the 12 members of the Rajya Sabha in specialised fields.
∆ He fixes the date for the election of the speaker of Lok Sabha.
∆ He has the power to dissolve lok sabha before the completion of its five years tenure.
∆ The president nominates the Pro tem speaker.
61st Constitutional Amendment Act: Decreased the age for voting from 21 years to 18 years.
104th constitutional act 2019: removed the reserved seats for Anglo Indians
91st Amendment Act 2003: The total number of ministers shall not exceed more than 15% the total strength of lok sabha
84th amendment act 2001: Seats in the lok sabha were fixed till 2025.

Composition maximum 250 seats ,States and UTs 238 and 12 nominated .Rajya Sabha is a permanent house .It is not subjected to dissolve.1/3rd members retires every 2nd year . Nomination begins every 3rd year .Tenure of a member is 6 years.
