She's practically perfect in every way ☺️
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face ..
She is the epitome of elegance!
I was watching this, when I realized that halfway through I was actually, physically smiling. The lady is just a rare delight in every way possible.
Me too ☺️
Mee too! ❤
Losing one's voice range when becoming an adult is normal. But I have to say her natural voice is so pleasant on the ears. It's like listening a beautiful soft music.
Good interviewer, patient, waits for answers from decent questions, no over the top pointless gimmicks that the U.S.A. does these days
Actually I have watched current interviews and people are so in awe of her they can't even talk, some even started crying with emotions. Her presence is such that of a lady ( profanities asides😁) that nobody would dare disrespect her. The world adores Julie.
YES!
She just explodes with charisma and class, it's just erupting from her
I love listening to her younger voice... she is a very talkative person but her voice is so soft it’s like music!
Just imagine, if she had ever gotten a real haircut!
Dick Cavett has always been my favorite interviewer. I'm a HUGE fan of Julie Andrews'...her talent, acting, singing -- a wonderful human.
Just a beautiful person & singer and actress!
Julie Andrews is one of a kind. I think I'll go watch Victor/Victoria now.
I never realized how pretty she was.
She’s sooo lovely.
This great beautiful Lady is Class. Great talent. A great Lady. Always.
So pretty!! I love how calm and nice she is!!!
Sweet, kind, charming, adorable and so beautiful. One of a Kind! A Star in the real sense of the word!
Yep! and so was Julie
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face ..
She's still with us. No lovelier woman ever graced the Earth.
She should be running this country
She has done a lot for the welfare of women and children throughout her career...often very silently.
Thank you for Posting. I am reading her new book and it is very special and you should all read it. I think Julie Andrews is magic and as such can only be in magical performances. So sorry she was not in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too! My kids both have special needs and listen to Mary Poppins and SOM over and over. They dance, sing and act out as much as they are able. They actually are following in their dads footsteps. HA!
I understand Julie wrote stories for Emma, so I imagine Jennifer wished her stepmother to write a story for her as well. Those details are so important (and unforgettable) to a child.
Loved this interview...and i love hearing tell these stories. Simply a beautiful lady!
she was my school-boy crush for 40yrs : )
According to this interview, her voice was no longer four octaves by the time she was 17 years old. Usually when people talk about her range, they just say that "she had four octaves", as if that's what she had throughout her career or in the prime of her career. Nice to hear the truth.
yeah she probably had 3 by then. I think she has always been way too humble about her voice. Never a showoff
If you haven’t seen her, at age 12 or so, singing “GOD SAVE THE KING” to King George VI check it out on UA-cam. She was so amazing.
Ever since she lost her singing voice I have such a feeling of sadness as I watch her in movies, old TV shows, or listen to cast albums.
I can’t imagine her devastation.
she is my ultimate crush
Classy people in classy times.
What a lovely, charming woman. I could fall in love with her right this moment.
Lovely Lady ♥️♥️♥️
As a child I heard my mother say from time to time: "Hell's bells" & "damnation."
Great interviewer. Get to learn a lot about the guests.
A lovely Brooch, perfectly complimenting her turtleneck.
JULIE!!!
I loved the book Mandy when I was a kid.

Poor Julie.. her childhood is actually mostly quite sad.
Really it isn’t very nice to assume that someone had a sad childhood. Especially if you don’t know them. Perhaps it _seems_ sad-but it doesn’t mean it was _that_ way.
@@Sofia-nc1tu Well, Julie has ever said that she was a very sad girl. The thing about Julie is that she doesn't like to be pitied. She doesn't like pity. Even her two husbands have talked about this. Tony said that the situation at Julie's house was horrible but instead she wrote things like "my magical family" in her diary. Blake also said that she had a lot of depressive memories, but that she handled that by taking care of everyone: him, kids, family, friends, crew, everyone. She herself has admitted that one of the reasons she went to therapy was to get rid of all the garbage she had in her head since childhood. So, I think she had a sad childhood, beyond what she is willing to admit. Not even in her books. But the expression "poor Julie" is definitely not one that she would like.

Kills the American idea of the British having bad teeth. lol
In her memoir she describes going to an American dentist in London who fixed a few imperfections. The people guiding her through her early years knew that she was going to be a star! :)
have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like the other videos around here.
this is so sad knowing that later on she lost all of her octaves and not just two :(
Julie Edwards because she's using her husband Blake Edwards's last name … but his real last name isn't Edwards either, it's Crump!
Toby Bartels Julie Crump, yikes! Lol
I’m gonna keep it on Julie Andrews
@@cockula776 He was born Crump, but his legal last name was McEdwards, by adoption from his stepfather. Not even his children are Crump. Just as Julie's mother changed her last name when she was a little girl. From Wells to Andrews. So legally, she is Julia Andrews, even though she was born as Julia Wells... I think she could have used "Julie Wells" too, and honor her dad.
Warner Bris paid $5 million to film My Fair Lady abd on top of the $5 million there was an equal amount filming the picture on the Warner lot in Burbank J l Warner wanted Cary Grant and James Cagney to star. Had they Warner May have gone with Julie Andrews. Instead with Rex Harrison WB to star they studio needed a box office star and Audrey Hepburn was a great Eliza.
I can’t stop looking at her teeth..
Why?

Beautiful, innocent little girl wrecked by divorce.
