Northern Ireland were much better until the late 80s, NI reached back to back world cups in 82 and 86, Rep Ireland only made their first World Cup in 1990.
@@eamonndillon9532 yes after 86 Rep Ireland became the best team out of the 2, Northern Ireland were poor during the 90s, didn’t really pick up again until around 2004, getting big results and coming close in a few campaigns until we got to the Euros in 2016
DEar NI fans, please join with us in the rest of Ireland in making one team that we can all be proud of. We will qualify more often for tournaments and perhaps an all Ireland team should participate in the home championships again.
Far to much football politics never mind the other politics, for Tibet to be one international team one of the football associations woujd have to disband and the original football association is the IFA of Northern Ireland, can’t see the FAI disbanding for this to happen

In that match against Spain,Northern Ireland beat themselves. 😢
But how great was the rest Ireland at the border of 80s and 90s.... My favorite team along with Netherlands and BRD.
