    Had to come and check this out again at Valentine's day coming,... lol after seeing so many of your videos already I have to say I don't like this fast motion. Plus after so many face masks I would rather hot glue if I could or still hand stitch. Put the machine away for awhile. My patterns are guess lately and I'll say my gnomes have been turning out pretty darn cute. Have to say I'm depressed after making all of this gnomes for Christmas present. People these days just don't deserve all the work we do! My sister in law had 2 strokes and is into gnomes. I made her 2 gnomes. I large and a small one and I had tears in my eyes how much she loved them!

    They are absolutely adorable!! I can sew on the machine but rather hand sew everything that I do. I have been hand sewing face masks for everyone for over a year now so gnomes are great fun to glue right now. Glued blings on request to all face masks so I'm really handy either way. Right now I'm being a rookie with clay and having a lot of fun on free time!! Thanks again Sara for always sharing and answering questions! Take care!🥰♥️

      WOW, hand sewing takes SO much patience. I've just hand sewn a gnome body and um, yeah, never again. LOL

      @@SarahNenniDaher no problem with the masks! I made them for all nephews and nieces for Halloween and for everyone at Christmas and all the kids at Easter. My daughter manages a jewelry store so I even make hers with bling. I even made lanyards for people that need them too. Pandemic keeping me busy! LOL

    I think I could do this...if I had the felt or the fleece. Wonder if it will work with cotton or burlap??

    • @SarahNenniDaher
      @SarahNenniDaher  11 місяців тому +1

      You would have to add an additional seam allowance for cotton, as there is no stretch, but yes, it can be done.

    Can you glue it

    • @SarahNenniDaher
      @SarahNenniDaher  3 роки тому

      I know some people have glued them, Deb, but honestly I wouldn't do it for these (16 inches ends up pretty hefty). For the smaller pattern in this style (Scandinavian Sweeties), it might work because they are less heavy.
      This is the pattern I mean - it produces a 10-12 inch gnome. shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/gnome-scandinavian-sweeties/

    • @SarahNenniDaher
      @SarahNenniDaher  3 роки тому

      That was a clay nose for the gnomes, but if you're using a wooden ball, it's 3/4 inch size. A one inch would also look great for this size gnome, too.

      Thank you so much, Deina. I did have the Dewalt glue gun but have now moved on to two others because it had a problem pushing the glue stick through and I'd have to 'help' it along.
      I just checked and it's no longer sold on Amazon (thinking others were having the same problem I was). I'll link my two favorites right now.

    • @SarahNenniDaher
      @SarahNenniDaher  3 роки тому

      I don't mail them out as I have a license to sell digital patterns only. Some people have traced it from their computer screen, but if you're only working with a phone, I'm honestly not sure. I know someone said they saved it on a drive and took it to Kinko's for printing but again, I'm not sure what you have available.

    Charging for the pattern???

    • @SarahNenniDaher
      @SarahNenniDaher  Рік тому

      Yes. I share a ton of free patterns, however, those as well-tested and thorough as these printed patterns take a lot of time to create and money to create. Copyright filing, trademark enforcement and protection, and a litany of other expenses (like paying employees) means that I have to charge for the more extensive patterns.m

      I get it on Amazon (I'll put the link below) but sometimes you can find it at Joann's craft store if you have one close to you. Sometimes Hobby Lobby - but I don't really have one close to me to check that out.
      The crinkle fur is the 2nd and 3rd item on this list - both are good quality. www.amazon.com/shop/rufflesandrain?listId=1FTNJ97JIJE57&ref=cm_sw_em_r_inf_list_own_rufflesandrain_dp_VbkoL3FNsOV0z

    Did I miss the making of the hat?!? 🤔

    • @SarahNenniDaher
      @SarahNenniDaher  3 роки тому

      About 1 minute in, it shows the pattern for the hat. Because we're using fleece, it just needs a sew up the side and you're done with it. The body is the base for the scrunched hat, so no stuffing or additional work is required (other than decoration).
