Busy Ryan Reynolds is taking on a new role as Chief Island Officer for Yas Island Abu Dhabi....and makes a dramatic skydive entrance in a fun
announcement video.
Deadpool actor follows in the footsteps of former celebrity CIOs Kevin Hart and Jason Mamoa as he promises "an unforgettable era of adventure and excitement."
And if the promo video is anything to go by, there are plenty of thrills and spills in store for holidaymakers while Reynolds is in charge., It sees a mysterious skydiver leap from a plane and descend towards the W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island, only to miss his intended landing spot and parachute straight into the Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in the middle of a race.
The skydiver is revealed to be Reynolds, who remains unflustered by the speeding cars as he proudly proclaims himself the Chief Island Officer of Yas Island Abu Dhabi - while listing his numerous other roles as actor, producer and even owner of Welsh football club Wrexham.
Reynolds' self-indulgent speech is drowned out by the roaring car engines, before the action moves to him screaming as he dives headfirst into
Yas Island's thrilling attractions.
He is also seen meeting actors dressed as The Joker and Harley Quinn on a ride at Gothan City at Warner Bros World Yas Island, as well as hitting the golf course.
