For context: I like the F-5C as an A+/S- vehicle. Very good, but not absolutely perfect. AIM-9Es are what keep them from being an S. J35A is a good dogfighter, likely a B or B- if JUST considering that (including its AIM-9Bs/RB24s), but it has barely any CAS capability, no countermeasures, and no tracers. It is very much imperfect. Not a terrible plane, but while it is incredible in terms of performance, it is lackluster in many very important ways. Also, I play planes about 2/3 of the time in War Thunder, so, despite my UA-cam name "Tankenstein," I play planes a bit more. And finally, the Yak-38 would be a D+/C-, most likely. I'd have to think about it more, but it's like a much worse AV-8A. used the j35a to grind the latter half of the sweden air tree and 100% agree on its placement. The missiles are terrible, having no CMs sucks so hard and with the a10 and su25s lurking in 9.7 now I doubt I could even do the grind with it now. Thankfully I got the Viggen back when the mlds were coming out. We really need a later variant of the J35 in game such as the J35J, gets access to CMs iirc, gets 5th and 6th missile pylons, has IRST, can carry RB27 and RB28 missiles which are licensed AIM-26 falcons and it gets RB24Js which are really good.
Mig 21 SPS K when you get used to it I would say it is the 4th or 5th best plane on this list especially when played with one r60 with two radar guided missles with gun pods just be situationly aware and you can average 2 to 4 kills with up to 78,000k silver lions per game I went from 78k to 520k sl in 2hr
You are just like me fr literally I run 2 radar missiles and one r13m1 instead of the r60 and it works impressively, I go to high alt and dominate high alt, with headons using r3rs, and if a teammate of mine is dealing with a scary target, I missile the target with the long range r13m1 Or if I am against su25s or a10s, I go up and while they aren't focusing I snipe them using an r13m1 from 3 4 or even 5 kms and if possible go for a gun kill I enjoyed this aircraft a lot and heading on av8a, f5cs and a5cs that don't know you have something called radar missiles
I feel you weighted Ground RB capability at lot more than you stated you would. The A-10 Early as an A only makes sense to me as a CAS option. It just doesn’t seem logical in an air to air comparison biased format.
If you stay back from the rest of your team in air RB then you can isolate and pickoff some enemies that are out of position. I've got a 4 kill game using this strategy with the A10
dude A-10 is an absolute menace in Air RB. You either die relatively fast (maybe 10% of the games) or you kill half the enemy team....use stealth belts, go head on and use your 4 aim 9l's....this plane is definitive an A Tier.
As an F-5C main it really hurt not seeing it as an S Class plane. In my Opinion it‘s a VERY decent dogfighter and as a dogfighter alone it absolutely deserves the S tier. Sure AiM-9Es aren‘t great but they do work quite often. Anyways: great Video 💪🏽😁
Think of it as the best of A Class or worst of S class. Still great! I love my F-5C too, but we can't deny it would be a much stronger performer with better missiles. It's missiles aren't bad but even being not bad they're still probably it's worst quality as it's such a great plane overall
Grinded 3 Rank 7s with AV-8A and SPS-K - always used the long range missile from above capabilities. Grinded 4 Ranks 7s with Su-7BMK because it can kill A-10 with ease after getting a base kill.

You could rank the vehicles on how good they are on each tier. So lets say rank A. The best A rank vehicle is on the left and the worst is on the right. So you can have that A+ to A-.
What I usually do for the mig 21 sps k is I take the counter-measures pod and I go pretty high like the mig 21 is supposed to go, I fire of missiles to planes and if someone is going for me, I use my speed to outrun them, and if they fire a missile, I counter-measures and dodge, it usually works really well.
lol i grinded my german airtree almost from scratcch with the sps-k and its very very good i had put it on at least b-class in comparison to the f5-c its still capable but the fact that it has to choose between cannons and flairs and chaffs it defeats itself for the class A podium.
I would put it in B class, it's low enough BR that it can rush in and dump 2 r60s for 2 easy kills atleast. It's up near A tier for a ground pounder though if you can manage rocket runs or the space climb and nose down with guided rockets. The old attack dolphin is pretty good grb, kinda meme in air rb but it's still fun.
To correct your milan comment, it can take out one entire base with its bomb loads but unconventionally you must take the smaller 750kg bombs as they offer higher total KG of TNT than the 1000 lbs bombs. The milan became substantially better of a jet to fly with the dropping of its ordinance pods but it is most certainly let down by the lack of countermeasures and the lackluster aim-9b missiles. Overall it is a decent grinder but definitely a difficult jet to understand how to fly well.
The Milan and J35 are ok in my opinion I think they should’ve been in the C class because they have a quite a learning curve to them when I was flying them, I was able to do some relatively good damage to the enemy team

While I agree with your positioning on these aircraft. The Milan is still the best option for grinding france. I used it to grind the Mirage2000 in 12 days. If you focus on base bombing it really racks up points. It's NOT a fun plane to play. But it hella gets the job done. Also to clarify for you, the Milan CAN take out an entire base but you have to use a custom loadout. You have to use the 250kg bombs and the 400kg bombs together.
I am grinding the french tree using Milan as a fighter. It's not that bad. You can climb higher than anybody with your speed and nobody is going to lock onto you. Then you dive between enemy lines and escape fast. You play like an F-104. Having no countermeasures is not a big deal if you play like this.

i am precisely one of those people that would say the J35A desevres to be in S, but i also have multiple days of time playing the jet. it really is amaizng, ive gotten some 6, or even 8 kill games in it, its a beast!
Milan is not a bad grinder. Sideclimb with bombs, drop them all on a base and then go kill or go back to base to reload. Not fun, but not a bad grinder pretty consistent I'd say. With the automatic jettison you have a good bomber and then a really fast fighter.
A lot of this depends on your play style. I love the Milan and the SU-7. They have the power to stay out of trouble and slip behind the enemy to attack bases. You can stay high because of the CCIP. The A-5C is good but without CCIP you are down low after dropping your bombs. The GR1 has a much better bomb load than the AV-8. 5000lbs with the new custom load out. I got the MiG-21S to try and get better at Jet dog fighting. I love it so far. You can never go wrong with a Skyhawks but the repair costs are high for a premium.
Absolut agreeing for me the Milan is the best plane in the list it needs skill to play but i habe the skill and that makes it total op but for that i cant play Su-25 i think its boring and the F-5 is boring the A10 is boring
You can destroy a whole base with the Milan but you need to create your costum load out. It’s an amazing plane for bombing and running but it’s not a good fighter.
Putting the flying Dorito at D tier is kinda mind boggling. B or C even considering no CAS option. The no tracers thing isn't a downside, it's both up and down. Once you get used to it, it's a non-issue anyway. And not telegraphing cannon fire is never a bad thing. The missiles legit suck and no CM. VERY valid complaints.
ironically enough, upping the SU25K to 10.0 would be a buff, because then they can just pick off A-10 freekills I don't know about you but A-10 spam is soo easy to fuck off with the Su25k, just fly high and dive on them, 3 garenteed kills in 20 seconds With faster aircraft (and no more a-10 spam) at 9.7, its harder to pull that off...
Well , for most part I agree….BUT…..that A4 is (at least for me or my play style) my worst premium in any game. It rips wings like they are made of paper and if you take any ordinance it is very slow duck. On the other hand J35A is a little tricky to use but for me it is superior to A4. If A4 would still have airspawn, maybe it could work. But for most part I get killed , before I could even drop bombs. And yes, my fav premium is also A5c. It is fricking SL printer with premium time. That plane save me a lot of real money since I was not able to buy most jets I researched because of lack of SL. So two times a year I would invest real money to buy 10000GE and later convert it to SL. But after I bought A5C and F5c on sale for 60 euro I never had to throw money for SL. Now I have Chinese jets 95% and in US tree everything except bomber line (currently researching B29) and millions SL to spare. Love reviews like this wait for tank

ive been wanting to either get the av8 or the a5c but i also want to get the j35a for grinding the swedish tree but i dont know what to get since i like to play as a missile thrower.
A10 should be S tier, you said it is a sitting duck but if you go into the game with just the 30mm and the aim9ls and climb at 20 degrees you can dive down on everyone and consistently get 3-5 kills per game and still have enough ammo to ground pound once you have bled all your energy
I'm kinda wanting to buy the Lightning F53 when it goes on sale, just because the Lightning is my favourite plane of all time and it would be cool to have a premium version of it. Is it actually viable at all in air battles? I've only heard bad things about it.
TL;DR It is fun to be the god of the sound barrier in a down tier, but you will mostly get up-tiers that are just pain. From my limited experience with the tech tree lightning, in a down tier you have fine missiles and are one of the fastest planes around. In an up tier you have bad missiles and your speed is nothing special, you will encounter planes that are: faster, more maneuverable, have better missiles, and better guns all at the same time. Unless you are a very good pilot, get the jump on them, or they are noob in a premium plane they will get you. Regardless of up or down tier the guns are difficult to aim, 30mm ADENs just don't have a very good muzzle velocity and they are mounted on the belly of a rather tall plane which doesn't help. Last thing I will mention which probably does the most harm to the lightning, at the BR or 9.3 you will have almost constant up-tiers to 10.3 because the F-5c is 10.3 and VERY common
I'd say it's easily the best high tier premium for Britain. The Sea Vixen is missing guns which is a pretty big downside, and I own the Harrier and I can't tell you how much I despise it, way too slow, way too maneuverable, and the missiles are unreliable and only work at 1.2km at most. The Lightning is way faster, far more maneuverable, and has a pair of nice missiles at a much lower BR. If you want an English premium, the Lightning is the one.
The video forgot to mention that it can go over Mach 2 when at higher altitude since it’s a interceptor. But players often fight below 4,000 feet in jets.
I love my GR1 SRAAMS are brutal just not flares but just turn of motor and wait your team dont go alone and you will kill all with this beauty missiles.
27:59 Me who got 3 kills and 2 assets with guns and missles in my first match with the Draken, Draken, Draken after coming from rank 2 US tanks and rank 1 US air and navy. So that was a big compliment thank you made my day! Which pro tip you actually don't need tracers/skill to ht things as you can lock on with the radar and simply aim in the green lead circle like your playing DCS world with a modern jet.... Makes alot of sense in hindsight as no tracers allow you to be sneaky and it matches the air combat theory of the era it's from.
I despise that the SPS-K got C when the F-5C got A. His biggest complaint about the MiG-21 was that it only has 2 missiles, meanwhile the F-5C also only gets 2 missiles that are worse.
Throwing my hat for the Milan. It's not great, but it's the only top tier grinder for France... and I'm getting the return of my investment. With the 10 French 250kg bombs (not the Mk 82s), it can destroy a base... if all hit the base. As for defending against missiles, I've sometimes managed to dodge several missiles, but once you run out of energy, you die to guns or to an all aspect missile.
pity as i play war thunder ground realistic 95% of time and i wanted to know best planes for GRB .. Ty for video and unfortunately 1 year later not up to date many many changes .
J35A is my best plane i get at least 3-4 kills a game it made climbing to the ja37c and breeze it takes a lot of skill but once you get use to no tracers it’s really good it’s not useful team wise as I usually I usually 1v3 bc I’m the last man standing which means I did nothing for my team but uh fun.

The plane itself is a C/D, but the missiles are so incredibly ridiculous that, when paired with a competent cannon user, the A-10 can be ridiculously powerful. For most people, it's probably average, but it has incredible potential in decent hands.

"You can bully people who don't expect your missiles or people who are distracted or bad enough to let you get within practical cannon range," doesn't scream A tier to me
Imma be honest, for me the T-2 Early goes in the A category, everything you said about it plus the fact it has Pulse Doppler Radar, making it so much easier to find enemies running on large air maps, or just finding them in general on Rocky Canyon, just sold it for me, not to mention it’s just a good looking plane.
radar that is completely useless if youre only using it to spot people. its more of a gimmick nothing else. the flight performance of the t2 isnt stellar it only carries aim9e wich are hard to use because they require good prediction (10g missile). it doesnt have countermeasures at a tier where youre facing magic 1 and r60 and has horseshit retention. its not a good plane at all
If your flying a lightning low alt then your playing it wrong its a high alt interceptor and in air rb at 20k ft plus it will go almost mach 2 exact number is 1.90 before it rips but that is plenty to chase down f104s
A5c is a beast. Love it. J35A is a mess. At beginning it had gun tracers but it was taken away. A4 early is great to grind Israel. Just use it in sim battle.
F-5C is rank S for sure it's a great plane if you've played the game for a while. Plus saying that you can get nice kills with missiles is true but wrong at the same time because most of your kills are from your guns.
I just got the j35 and it is amazing you can out turn everyone and you mainly go up against a10s and can get easy kills I’ve gained 600000 Sl in one day with it

Can you make a video on how to properly use camouflage? I’ve had trouble finding good videos on how to use camouflage, especially since most show or are for top tier tanks. I’m nowhere near top tier, only rank 3 but I’m trying to get into ground RB however I don’t know how to use/apply camouflage, and which ones to use. I’ve wasted about 2500 GE. Idk if this’ll be seen but if you do make a video, I think it might help a lot of people
There is no real strategy to it. People spam bushes to obscure the outline of their tank or hide weak spots. Either way, its just bush spam which i believe gets negated by thermals anyway.

From what I’ve seen as much in the front as possible so enemies only see a barrel sticking out of a large moving bush. It’s a fairly toxic strategy though, tbh.
The lightning slander is crazy and bro says it only goes Mach 1 which is def incorrect. And he complains about the J35 not having tracers….. just get good with the aircraft/cannons and you won’t need em.
I have a bunch of those premiums, and overall I agree with your list. Just like anyone, I have some personal issues with that list. First, mig 21S vs mig 21 spsk. They are overall quite similar, but I think the mig 21S is overall better. The lower BR is only a little improvement, but the engine gives it quite a lot of flight performance. One small but important note is, however, the 21S has canon CCIP and the 21 SPSK doesn't. This might seem like not a big difference, but it makes a lot of difference late match, when you rack up some ground kills. With the 21S you can shoot a minimal burst and can get much more ground kills with relative ease. IMO the 21S is marginally better. The Harrier GR.1 has some glaring issues you didn't mention in this video. It doesn't have countermeasures or RWR. I personally dont have it, but whenever I encounter a GR.1, its my go to enemy, because they are quite easy to kill with missiles better than 9b or r3. The SU7 has a worse bomb load than the Milan. If you compare them on strike aircraft grounds, the Milan is better. With the BR difference and one having 9b I'd put them at least on the same tier in the list. Especially since the update where the Milan can drop the tanks after bombing, and improve its flight performance massively. Overall, the list is quite good imo. I also agree with the A-5C and F-5C placement, especially with your pinned comment. I also think that some jets on the list have a really high skill ceiling, like the F-5C or the J35A, but their spot in the list is earned. The F-5C can definitley be S tier when someone flies it perfectly, and the J35A could go up to A tier IMO, but for the average or above average player, the spot in the list shows their performance better. (the J35A is a beast to master, and Im not good with it, but I have seen what you can do with it, and its probably one of the highest skill ceiling planes in the game).
The gr1 is not a bad plane, but it is not a fun plane to play. You side climb to space and then third party distracted enemies with SRAAMS, rinse and repeat. Sometimes you get an ace and sometimes all 4 of you SRAAMS get flared. You're a subsonic brick, so if anyone wants you dead there's nothing you can do about it. I recently switched over to the T2 as my daily grinder and have been having a lot more fun.
With the GR.1 he also didn't mention that SRAAMs love flares. If anyone with countermeasures sees you launch, or notices you before you launch, dropping even one flare will stop an SRAAM with 100% certainty. Couple this with the fact that you need to get so close to use them and the SRAAMs are basically only good at punishing noobs or people that are tunnel visioned. Unless you can find an enemy you can get close to that has no countermeasures, but that would require a down tier and good luck trying to get that...

I've always disliked the T-2 and considered it one of my worst purchases. Last night though I had the best match of my life in that thing. 6 kills before I reloaded and got another 2 right before the end of the match. It was just me for the final 6 kills lol, my team got annihilated and I turned the entire match around and won.

Brother you can not put the mig21s in C and then drop the draken in D. I have them both and there is shot in the worl the mig21s is even in the same ballpark of capability in ARB
From all planes on the list. Which plane are the most newbie friendly? Currently still trying to understand how tf flares work. Edit: some people says i should just buy rank 3/4/5 vehicle. But the main reason here is i want to understand how tf flares work (can't figure that out when using A-4E early) and why i want to buy rank 6 jet is because most of them already have flares and hella cheap repair cost.
To use flares you just turn afterburner off and dump and turn. With planes without afterburner you just dump and turn. Flying in a straight line whilst dumping flares is completely useless.
@@semiedgv not always, some aircrafts drop flares in a special way, under the aircraft or perhaps above it instead of directly behind it, which sometimes makes it unnecessary to turn although I do agree that turning is the better option
So the su25 can go 900km/h. Riiiiight. Given that the DCS version starts to shake itself apart at 650, and yes, that’s another ‘game’, but it is considered a study sim. Of course, it may be wrong. But not by 250km/h! Gaijin has some dodgy people in it, not all of them but some, so Ruzzian bias is a thing sometimes. Not as much as people say when their shots bounce off a KV1, maybe, but they definitely give the orcs the benefit. When, say, the British have the opposite problem, the assumption is always for worse performance rather than better. And I don’t really play Britain all that much, it’s just something I’ve noticed. Consider the T80. The specs match what the Kremlin has told us, but IRL they brew up as soon as anything looks at them. Anyway. Great review, thanks.
People don’t understand that if you play the A-10 the way it’s intended, it is absolutely DEADLY in air rb. You can be new to wt and get 3 kills in an average game, and it being a premium, means you can progress up to and past tier 4 with ease. Overhated plane.

Mig 21 SPS K when you get used to it I would say it is the 4th or 5th best plane on this list especially when played with one r60 with two radar guided missles with gun pods just be situationly aware and you can average 2 to 4 kills with up to 78,000k silver lions per game I went from 78k to 520k sl in 2hr

literally I run 2 radar missiles and one r13m1 instead of the r60 and it works impressively, I go to high alt and dominate high alt, with headons using r3rs, and if a teammate of mine is dealing with a scary target, I missile the target with the long range r13m1
Or if I am against su25s or a10s, I go up and while they aren't focusing I snipe them using an r13m1 from 3 4 or even 5 kms and if possible go for a gun kill

The A-10 Early as an A only makes sense to me as a CAS option. It just doesn’t seem logical in an air to air comparison biased format.
If you stay back from the rest of your team in air RB then you can isolate and pickoff some enemies that are out of position. I've got a 4 kill game using this strategy with the A10
dude A-10 is an absolute menace in Air RB. You either die relatively fast (maybe 10% of the games) or you kill half the enemy team....use stealth belts, go head on and use your 4 aim 9l's....this plane is definitive an A Tier.

As an F-5C main it really hurt not seeing it as an S Class plane. In my Opinion it‘s a VERY decent dogfighter and as a dogfighter alone it absolutely deserves the S tier. Sure AiM-9Es aren‘t great but they do work quite often.

Think of it as the best of A Class or worst of S class. Still great! I love my F-5C too, but we can't deny it would be a much stronger performer with better missiles. It's missiles aren't bad but even being not bad they're still probably it's worst quality as it's such a great plane overall

AV-8A could use CM with 9Gs as soon as it gets CM pod - not long after introduction.
Grinded 3 Rank 7s with AV-8A and SPS-K - always used the long range missile from above capabilities.
Grinded 4 Ranks 7s with Su-7BMK because it can kill A-10 with ease after getting a base kill.

You could rank the vehicles on how good they are on each tier. So lets say rank A. The best A rank vehicle is on the left and the worst is on the right. So you can have that A+ to A-.
Mig21 really teaches you how to play top tier
What I usually do for the mig 21 sps k is I take the counter-measures pod and I go pretty high like the mig 21 is supposed to go, I fire of missiles to planes and if someone is going for me, I use my speed to outrun them, and if they fire a missile, I counter-measures and dodge, it usually works really well.

lol i grinded my german airtree almost from scratcch with the sps-k and its very very good i had put it on at least b-class in comparison to the f5-c its still capable but the fact that it has to choose between cannons and flairs and chaffs it defeats itself for the class A podium.
Dont forget the r3r is good for head ons too tho when i comes to the mig-21's

I would put it in B class, it's low enough BR that it can rush in and dump 2 r60s for 2 easy kills atleast. It's up near A tier for a ground pounder though if you can manage rocket runs or the space climb and nose down with guided rockets.
The old attack dolphin is pretty good grb, kinda meme in air rb but it's still fun.
To correct your milan comment, it can take out one entire base with its bomb loads but unconventionally you must take the smaller 750kg bombs as they offer higher total KG of TNT than the 1000 lbs bombs. The milan became substantially better of a jet to fly with the dropping of its ordinance pods but it is most certainly let down by the lack of countermeasures and the lackluster aim-9b missiles. Overall it is a decent grinder but definitely a difficult jet to understand how to fly well.
The Milan and J35 are ok in my opinion I think they should’ve been in the C class because they have a quite a learning curve to them when I was flying them, I was able to do some relatively good damage to the enemy team

me and my german mig21 accept the C ranking, it feels even better when I hit top scoreboard 80% of the time, each plane has it's own capabilities
While I agree with your positioning on these aircraft. The Milan is still the best option for grinding france. I used it to grind the Mirage2000 in 12 days. If you focus on base bombing it really racks up points. It's NOT a fun plane to play. But it hella gets the job done. Also to clarify for you, the Milan CAN take out an entire base but you have to use a custom loadout. You have to use the 250kg bombs and the 400kg bombs together.

I am grinding the french tree using Milan as a fighter. It's not that bad. You can climb higher than anybody with your speed and nobody is going to lock onto you. Then you dive between enemy lines and escape fast. You play like an F-104. Having no countermeasures is not a big deal if you play like this.

i am precisely one of those people that would say the J35A desevres to be in S, but i also have multiple days of time playing the jet. it really is amaizng, ive gotten some 6, or even 8 kill games in it, its a beast!

Milan is not a bad grinder. Sideclimb with bombs, drop them all on a base and then go kill or go back to base to reload. Not fun, but not a bad grinder pretty consistent I'd say. With the automatic jettison you have a good bomber and then a really fast fighter.
A lot of this depends on your play style. I love the Milan and the SU-7. They have the power to stay out of trouble and slip behind the enemy to attack bases. You can stay high because of the CCIP. The A-5C is good but without CCIP you are down low after dropping your bombs. The GR1 has a much better bomb load than the AV-8. 5000lbs with the new custom load out. I got the MiG-21S to try and get better at Jet dog fighting. I love it so far. You can never go wrong with a Skyhawks but the repair costs are high for a premium.
Absolut agreeing for me the Milan is the best plane in the list it needs skill to play but i habe the skill and that makes it total op but for that i cant play Su-25 i think its boring and the F-5 is boring the A10 is boring

You can destroy a whole base with the Milan but you need to create your costum load out. It’s an amazing plane for bombing and running but it’s not a good fighter.
Yeah, with the sps k you can choose to either have max 2 kills with the r60 or have a max 1 with the 4 r3

Putting the flying Dorito at D tier is kinda mind boggling. B or C even considering no CAS option. The no tracers thing isn't a downside, it's both up and down. Once you get used to it, it's a non-issue anyway. And not telegraphing cannon fire is never a bad thing.
The missiles legit suck and no CM. VERY valid complaints.
ironically enough, upping the SU25K to 10.0 would be a buff, because then they can just pick off A-10 freekills
I don't know about you but A-10 spam is soo easy to fuck off with the Su25k, just fly high and dive on them, 3 garenteed kills in 20 seconds
With faster aircraft (and no more a-10 spam) at 9.7, its harder to pull that off...

Well , for most part I agree….BUT…..that A4 is (at least for me or my play style) my worst premium in any game. It rips wings like they are made of paper and if you take any ordinance it is very slow duck. On the other hand J35A is a little tricky to use but for me it is superior to A4. If A4 would still have airspawn, maybe it could work. But for most part I get killed , before I could even drop bombs.
And yes, my fav premium is also A5c. It is fricking SL printer with premium time. That plane save me a lot of real money since I was not able to buy most jets I researched because of lack of SL. So two times a year I would invest real money to buy 10000GE and later convert it to SL. But after I bought A5C and F5c on sale for 60 euro I never had to throw money for SL. Now I have Chinese jets 95% and in US tree everything except bomber line (currently researching B29) and millions SL to spare.

A10 should be S tier, you said it is a sitting duck but if you go into the game with just the 30mm and the aim9ls and climb at 20 degrees you can dive down on everyone and consistently get 3-5 kills per game and still have enough ammo to ground pound once you have bled all your energy

I'm kinda wanting to buy the Lightning F53 when it goes on sale, just because the Lightning is my favourite plane of all time and it would be cool to have a premium version of it.
Is it actually viable at all in air battles? I've only heard bad things about it.
Its ok, you can basically run away from r60M but you cant really fight all that well
TL;DR It is fun to be the god of the sound barrier in a down tier, but you will mostly get up-tiers that are just pain.
From my limited experience with the tech tree lightning, in a down tier you have fine missiles and are one of the fastest planes around. In an up tier you have bad missiles and your speed is nothing special, you will encounter planes that are: faster, more maneuverable, have better missiles, and better guns all at the same time. Unless you are a very good pilot, get the jump on them, or they are noob in a premium plane they will get you.
Regardless of up or down tier the guns are difficult to aim, 30mm ADENs just don't have a very good muzzle velocity and they are mounted on the belly of a rather tall plane which doesn't help.
Last thing I will mention which probably does the most harm to the lightning, at the BR or 9.3 you will have almost constant up-tiers to 10.3 because the F-5c is 10.3 and VERY common
I'd say it's easily the best high tier premium for Britain. The Sea Vixen is missing guns which is a pretty big downside, and I own the Harrier and I can't tell you how much I despise it, way too slow, way too maneuverable, and the missiles are unreliable and only work at 1.2km at most. The Lightning is way faster, far more maneuverable, and has a pair of nice missiles at a much lower BR. If you want an English premium, the Lightning is the one.

The video forgot to mention that it can go over Mach 2 when at higher altitude since it’s a interceptor. But players often fight below 4,000 feet in jets.
I love my GR1 SRAAMS are brutal just not flares but just turn of motor and wait your team dont go alone and you will kill all with this beauty missiles.

So that was a big compliment thank you made my day! Which pro tip you actually don't need tracers/skill to ht things as you can lock on with the radar and simply aim in the green lead circle like your playing DCS world with a modern jet.... Makes alot of sense in hindsight as no tracers allow you to be sneaky and it matches the air combat theory of the era it's from.
they got rid of lead indicator ages ago it doesn't work anymore

I despise that the SPS-K got C when the F-5C got A. His biggest complaint about the MiG-21 was that it only has 2 missiles, meanwhile the F-5C also only gets 2 missiles that are worse.

Throwing my hat for the Milan. It's not great, but it's the only top tier grinder for France... and I'm getting the return of my investment. With the 10 French 250kg bombs (not the Mk 82s), it can destroy a base... if all hit the base. As for defending against missiles, I've sometimes managed to dodge several missiles, but once you run out of energy, you die to guns or to an all aspect missile.

J35A is my best plane i get at least 3-4 kills a game it made climbing to the ja37c and breeze it takes a lot of skill but once you get use to no tracers it’s really good it’s not useful team wise as I usually I usually 1v3 bc I’m the last man standing which means I did nothing for my team but uh fun.

The plane itself is a C/D, but the missiles are so incredibly ridiculous that, when paired with a competent cannon user, the A-10 can be ridiculously powerful. For most people, it's probably average, but it has incredible potential in decent hands.

Imma be honest, for me the T-2 Early goes in the A category, everything you said about it plus the fact it has Pulse Doppler Radar, making it so much easier to find enemies running on large air maps, or just finding them in general on Rocky Canyon, just sold it for me, not to mention it’s just a good looking plane.
radar that is completely useless if youre only using it to spot people. its more of a gimmick nothing else. the flight performance of the t2 isnt stellar it only carries aim9e wich are hard to use because they require good prediction (10g missile).
it doesnt have countermeasures at a tier where youre facing magic 1 and r60 and has horseshit retention.

If your flying a lightning low alt then your playing it wrong its a high alt interceptor and in air rb at 20k ft plus it will go almost mach 2 exact number is 1.90 before it rips but that is plenty to chase down f104s

F-5C is rank S for sure it's a great plane if you've played the game for a while. Plus saying that you can get nice kills with missiles is true but wrong at the same time because most of your kills are from your guns.
A4e can carry massive load out with strong wing.... wing rips when you only have missiles equipped

Can you make a video on how to properly use camouflage? I’ve had trouble finding good videos on how to use camouflage, especially since most show or are for top tier tanks. I’m nowhere near top tier, only rank 3 but I’m trying to get into ground RB however I don’t know how to use/apply camouflage, and which ones to use. I’ve wasted about 2500 GE. Idk if this’ll be seen but if you do make a video, I think it might help a lot of people
There is no real strategy to it. People spam bushes to obscure the outline of their tank or hide weak spots. Either way, its just bush spam which i believe gets negated by thermals anyway.

I have a bunch of those premiums, and overall I agree with your list. Just like anyone, I have some personal issues with that list.
First, mig 21S vs mig 21 spsk. They are overall quite similar, but I think the mig 21S is overall better. The lower BR is only a little improvement, but the engine gives it quite a lot of flight performance. One small but important note is, however, the 21S has canon CCIP and the 21 SPSK doesn't. This might seem like not a big difference, but it makes a lot of difference late match, when you rack up some ground kills. With the 21S you can shoot a minimal burst and can get much more ground kills with relative ease. IMO the 21S is marginally better.
The Harrier GR.1 has some glaring issues you didn't mention in this video. It doesn't have countermeasures or RWR. I personally dont have it, but whenever I encounter a GR.1, its my go to enemy, because they are quite easy to kill with missiles better than 9b or r3.
The SU7 has a worse bomb load than the Milan. If you compare them on strike aircraft grounds, the Milan is better. With the BR difference and one having 9b I'd put them at least on the same tier in the list. Especially since the update where the Milan can drop the tanks after bombing, and improve its flight performance massively.
Overall, the list is quite good imo. I also agree with the A-5C and F-5C placement, especially with your pinned comment. I also think that some jets on the list have a really high skill ceiling, like the F-5C or the J35A, but their spot in the list is earned. The F-5C can definitley be S tier when someone flies it perfectly, and the J35A could go up to A tier IMO, but for the average or above average player, the spot in the list shows their performance better. (the J35A is a beast to master, and Im not good with it, but I have seen what you can do with it, and its probably one of the highest skill ceiling planes in the game).
The gr1 is not a bad plane, but it is not a fun plane to play. You side climb to space and then third party distracted enemies with SRAAMS, rinse and repeat. Sometimes you get an ace and sometimes all 4 of you SRAAMS get flared. You're a subsonic brick, so if anyone wants you dead there's nothing you can do about it. I recently switched over to the T2 as my daily grinder and have been having a lot more fun.
With the GR.1 he also didn't mention that SRAAMs love flares. If anyone with countermeasures sees you launch, or notices you before you launch, dropping even one flare will stop an SRAAM with 100% certainty. Couple this with the fact that you need to get so close to use them and the SRAAMs are basically only good at punishing noobs or people that are tunnel visioned. Unless you can find an enemy you can get close to that has no countermeasures, but that would require a down tier and good luck trying to get that...
Adens on the Lightning aren't mediocre.. it's the bad placement. On the hunter with good placement they're insane

I've always disliked the T-2 and considered it one of my worst purchases. Last night though I had the best match of my life in that thing. 6 kills before I reloaded and got another 2 right before the end of the match. It was just me for the final 6 kills lol, my team got annihilated and I turned the entire match around and won.
speaking of defyn... he does good stuff, but i have noticed he'S been getting more and more unruly with aggression and anger. unfortunates really as he was very calm.

To use flares you just turn afterburner off and dump and turn. With planes without afterburner you just dump and turn. Flying in a straight line whilst dumping flares is completely useless.

So the su25 can go 900km/h. Riiiiight. Given that the DCS version starts to shake itself apart at 650, and yes, that’s another ‘game’, but it is considered a study sim. Of course, it may be wrong. But not by 250km/h! Gaijin has some dodgy people in it, not all of them but some, so Ruzzian bias is a thing sometimes. Not as much as people say when their shots bounce off a KV1, maybe, but they definitely give the orcs the benefit. When, say, the British have the opposite problem, the assumption is always for worse performance rather than better. And I don’t really play Britain all that much, it’s just something I’ve noticed. Consider the T80. The specs match what the Kremlin has told us, but IRL they brew up as soon as anything looks at them. Anyway. Great review, thanks.
People don’t understand that if you play the A-10 the way it’s intended, it is absolutely DEADLY in air rb. You can be new to wt and get 3 kills in an average game, and it being a premium, means you can progress up to and past tier 4 with ease. Overhated plane.
