Mercer is going to EXPLODE offensively this season!
Dawson will finally get a defined role with a regular fit on a steady line. Due to injury & Mercer's diverse skill set he was NJs unsung utility player at the sacrifice of his own personal numbers.
Mercer in my opinion, is a vital foundational core piece of this team.
Keefe will position Mercer appropriately & Mercer will explode. I expect at minimum 20 goals and 60 pts from the Dawg.
@yoholmes273 I think he may as well. With a regular Top 6 spot, I do think we will get that 25/35 or 20/40 season we all want to see from him. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!

The Devils will trade Jake Allen, Seamus Casey, Arseni Gritsyuk, Topias Vilen, and 2025 and 2026 4th-rounders, but not their hockey pucks and extra hockey sticks, to the Bruins for Jeremy Swayman and then sign Jeremy to an 8-year contract worth $96 million, but I’m not crazy, delusional, joking, or kidding, I’m not play NHL 24 or fantasy hockey, and I’m not drunk or high on coke, crack, doobie, dope, heroin, marijuana, meth, mushrooms, pipe, pot, valium, or weeds.

Mercer probably 60 point player at the most...i say 1 million per 10 points. sign him 8 x 6 or trade him for some draft picks. We have others that can fill in i hope.

Everyone seemed pretty excited about the new season in their interviews. It was nice to see them back on the positive side with their attitudes after how bad last season was.
I think the Prague trip will be good for them. Guessing they will have some free time to relax around town and bond with the new guys.
Timo on the left makes me cringe. Just don’t. Please.
Dougie is big, but he doesn’t use his size for physical play. Makes me sad sometimes when he doesn’t check.
I don’t know about the “Meat Line”. Lazar and Bastian aren’t “bone crushers”. They play their roles good, especially Lazar, but they are not heavy hitters or big guys. We’ll see if that changes this season with the new game plan.
I’d love to know how Luke got injured. It’s a f up on his part big time, regardless. Wonder if he is going to Prague with the team? Sucks he will miss this opportunity to play in 2 special games. Once in a lifetime and missing it.
I’ll wait for the 91 video to make comments on that.

@TravelinDevil76 The boys did seem to be all smiles. (except for Jack of course) The road trip should be a great bonding experience for a very different looking locker room from last season. Timo on the left was a headscratcher to me for sure. I am hoping Dougie raises the physicality a bit. "A rising tide lifts all boats" Hopefully some of the bone crunching hits from the other guys wear off on him a bit, and he kicks it up a notch! I like the meat line. They aren't the biggest line ever, but they all are feisty and finish their checks. We will NEVER know how Luke truly got injured. It will be interesting to see if he makes the trip or not. I can see that going either way. He is likely not in the rehab portion of this injury yet, so if I had to guess I would think he does make the trip. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!
