I also have a similar problem with my 2006. I think it's the wear ring and impeller, or at least I'm hoping that's what it is. I also have to have the ceramic removed from my Supercharger. They're nice little boats, when they work!
hey man do you guys have a video on how to take out the impeller and jet drive on a 2006 challenger 180 sp? I'm getting high rpm and only 30mph max, thinking my impeller is fuckdd!!! thanks
Howdy, Hoping you can help, I have single engine 95 seedoo sportster. Riding yesterday and engine goes high rpm sounds like it’s redlining with little acceleration. When out it was operating normally up to max speed a couple times but the issue kept happening. I’ve gotten it up to speed before and after issue. Nothing in intake. Impeller does not appear to have major dents as I’m also able to get up to speed even with this problem. Wonder what I should do? Motor sounds like it’s redlining no acceleration, nothing in the intake... can sometimes get a good seal on the water and get it up to speed but then issue happens again... I’ve had it up to speed no problem in choppy water no issue. Please any tips God bless Jack
Wear ring can have to much clearance around impeller, also overlooked is carbon seal and bellows inside the boat can be worn\aged and be sucking air into the pump from inside the boat when load is applied it will walk the bellows back and suck air. get a carbon seal kit and bellows, new wear ring and impeller and I will bet your problem will be gone.
@@hotheadzmarine Thanks for the reply!!!!!! So quick you guys are awesome. So wear ring would be first to check > carbon seal > bellows? Would you rule out debris in pump/impeller damage as cause due to the fact I could get it up to speed?
@@hotheadzmarine in addition to the wear ring... I replace the drive system bellows with the full carbon ring kit. Think there are other bellows or seals in the boat that would give those redlining no acceleration symptoms?
I have a 2005 Sea Doo Challenger and I’ve had similar issue, I’m in Las Vegas if you were close I would take it to you... But what mine does is when One or Two people are in it it has tons of power and it’s awesome, but soon as you put more people more weight it cavitates and just revs but doesn’t really move? Any suggestions Thanks in advance

Thank you for your comment however, These do not have transmissions. The nozzle (reverse gate) moves up and down like an airplane ✈ engine. More likely at some point a rope was sucked into the pump.
Sooo .. basically you caused someone to sell their expensive boat cause you didnt have the correct tools or knowledge to fix it.. sucks for the previous owner ... i wouldnt have mentioned that on the vid.. i wouldnt take my boat to you to fix, knowing this ... sorry for being a jerk, but thats pretty messed up ..
Honesty is important. Should I have been deceptive? Why did you watch this video. Perhaps you needed some help or you were just searching for somewhere to vent hypocrisy. We are certainly not perfect but we didn't cause anyone to sell the boat. I wish the original owner would have had it fixed prior to the owner that sold it last & knowingly having issues. Oh wait...was that you? LOL. That dishonesty caused a chain reaction. Thank you for adding to an already negative world online. This video has helped many many people.
