The whole situation has been done extremely poorly. PD knew they fucked up and it caused the RP to be dog water and even in the trial you know that they knew the whole situation was shit. Then when they try and do this for the PD lawyer, you can't tell me, that the PD were like "yeah this is fine, nothing wrong here RP wise!".
They're actually causing problems for the people who want to RP due to their lack of understanding or they're just plain stupid when it comes to creative thinking.
I just hope it doesn't continue to get worse and people just start up and leaving the server due to terrible RP'ers in positions, which they shouldn't be in. PD is a mess due to Ruth, Max needs to be careful with the power hungriness, which could cause RP issues and then you have the way laws are bring written and the rule for me, rule for thee attitude.

Every single new legislation Crane drops is literally a direct nerf to something only pertaining to something happening on K or Ramee’s stream a day or two before. It’s actually wild. yes, he is only hiring that many lawyers for one case. Also the PD should be able to self-represent. Infact i would argue it creates more RP without that dogshit rule. Typically the only variation is that in some positions they are an elected position (District Attorney), but otherwise they are appointed. It doesn't make sense for the judicial branch to be a neutral arbiter of justice when the judicial branch is also representing one side of the arguments. District attorneys, who do have a fair degree of legal separation from mayors, police departments, and of course the judiciary, are the ones who decide whether or not to press charges. Mayors and police departments can't demand a DA charge someone.
Nopixel lacks the DA position, and relies on the police department to do so, which is part of the problem. There is natural and significant bias introduced by giving the police department the power to decide who gets prosecuted, what the verdict is, and what the sentence should be. Take the instance where cops blew up a gasoline tanker dropped off by a crim. They charged the criminal involved in it with blowing it up, instead of taking responsibility for it themselves. That "killed" a fair number of people. A DA would have been a neutral assessor of the situation, and hopefully would have taken all the factors into account. Instead, the PD decided to bring up unrelated charges against the guy talking about it.

Wdym? Crane has been one of the best additions in nopixel with his irl lawyer knowledge. He's been giving both PD and crims actual knowledge and application of the scuffed laws implemented in nopixel.
The only reason he's getting hate or misunderstoon is because of because some of the PD's actually misinterpreting the laws, its like and its crane's job again (even tho it isnt) to educate how the law actually works

The problem is not the law implemented by Crane, its how the players use it. Some cops dont even understand what they mean and go on their way abusing it and it will fall again on Crane educating them. This has been my observation ever since 3.0 which, in my opinion, is a real headache on Crane's part.

The issue I think is that the CG boys often take things too far... And since they are big streamers they don't get banned for it. Instead the admins etc find creative ways to stop certain behaviour, such as creating new legislation.
The first time JP planted a gun on a judge it actually created a lot of great RP. The person playing the judge took it well ooc and it turned into a very complex legal issue in character. However... the whole planted PD / hot gun thing is just being abused at this point. Nothing good will come of it. If people have legitimate complaints about how the law works in the server, they need to follow the appropriate process and actually ROLEPLAY lobbying the government to change the law. Or run for mayor or something.

It would be great RP if it actually happened but I think this goes back to that act which Aegis back in 3.0 made which was copy and paste by the current government it’s when an specific person/business have been targeted repeatedly it becomes a situation that things are purposely done in intent to hurt/harm/destroy individual or an entity and since there where previous incidents which happened not to long ago, they just basically could look at this that way since there was a precedent set by X and Murphy Braun which I won’t be surprised if they considering that as enough evidence to not press charges or at the very least just a misdemeanour and not a felony or whatever the fuck charge they could give that doesn’t make them lose their government job.

Though I will agree with K in that it was definitely we have 30 days to prove K guilty versus 30 days to prove this lawyer innocent, there is undoubtedly a bias and even though meta is not allowed its obvious that small bits of meta color each and every situation, cops always seem to know who is guilty and who is innocent, not letting the observable facts of the situation dictate their actions.

some of the PD are finally exercising their discretion to not charge things at the drop of a hat if they feel they should investigate the situation first. Different cops doing different things. K could sit back for a sec and observe what happens with the PD, especially if he actually wants them to improve, but I'm sure he'll take it personally that they only started doing this now after what happened with his case.

The entire plant plan is done. But the 2 lawyers thing is because Cornwood did it, following Ramee plan but his case was done first. Wasn't against CG unlike the other stuff.
Yea Cornwood's 6 lawyer legal team got that limit fast. Also Cornwood was Abeline's defense lawyer on the gun case and got them not to charge.(yet at least) At the same time Cornwood also believes Mr K should be pardoned for his gun charge and even said he would speak on the stand about it if need be since the PD fumbled that one hard
