Almost picked up a new Grand Sport in the same color. Didnt think I would like it but in person its amazing. Decided to pick up 2016 ATSV Sedan. Love it but at times with I had gone with GS.

I honestly love the way the ZR1 looks with OUT all the aero fins and flaps etc. Its smooth AND mean 🤤

I saw a ZR1 in this same color and with the ztk package at the Spring Rod Run in Pigeon Forge Tn. in April. You're absolutely correct. You have to see this car in person. Pictures don't do it justice. I couldn't stop looking at it. It has such presence. Amazing, beautiful car.

As a fellow creator, I appreciate the hard work you put into your videos. You're going to be really big when the algorithm pushes your channel. Less than 20k subs, but the quality of the videos is better than channels 10x your size.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I really appreciate that. You never know with the algorithms though lol. I've had random low quality videos do exceedingly well, followed by a very nicely put together video that gets very few views. I stopped trying to figure it out and just make what I enjoy!

Im in the process of getting my second child out of college. Two years apart. So six years out of my account! I’ll shame them if I have to, but my 95 C4 is a car I love and will keep it, but make your Dads smile big AF!
This is the best car video I have watched because he gives all the information I want to know
I can now chime in on the cost of insurance: $765 for 6 months. I am in my mid-40s and have a lot of vehicles and businesses insured with this particular insurance company. I also standard deductibles and high policy limits.
I need to grind and save $500k for all the cars I want in this life, lol. Then 2 Akita puppies, a house with big backyard, and ... a giant garage. :D

Great review! I'm going to be in the market for a 2019 ZR1 very soon.... I'm searching for one to see in person now... Nothing in my area, I'm sure I need go to Greenville or Spartanburg... I'm glad you mentioned the wrap, I would like to get in touch with the people that did this one..... Not sure about the large wing.... I'm 5'4, might be a issue for me taking the top off and storing it in the back or anything else for that matter... Anyway, thanks for the video, it makes me excited as I begin my search.

DON'T FORGET THE MAGNESIUM USED IN THIS CAR FOR LIGHT WEIGHT. MERIDIAN IN STRATHROY ONTARIO MAKES THE SIDE RAILS. 40 LBS EACH AND 5 TIMES STRONGER THAN STEEL. THIS CAR IS LIGHT.
So crazy seeing your vids and all the familiar landmarks being that I too hail from Upstate SC. Will be in the market for a GS or Z06 in the near future and your vids have been very helpful. I dig the content so I'm Subscribing!
Great review but, this generation Zr1 is just not doing it for me. Still in love with the C6 Zr1 and the legendary C4 Zr1. That spoiler to me doesn’t fit the corvette but, I’m sure for road course track guys, that is what they want/need. I think personally, they rushed this Zr1 model and switched their focus to the C8 generation. Thanks for the video and great content.

I know GM is being conservative but that 2.8 is BS. There are tons of PDR equipped Z06s right here on YT doing 2.8 stock on stock tires.

Not bad for an old style pushrod V8
does anyone else think the tire/fender gap is just too much. I lowered my Z06 on the stock bolts and, my opinion, looks much better.

What is the break-in recommendation?
Great video. But mathematically wouldn’t it be more sensible to just get a zo6 and upgrade still would be cheaper than the zr1? The numbers of the 2 aren’t that far off
It would also make more financial sense to get a fox body mustang and mod it to go just as fast. The point is you can always mod a car for cheaper but it still isn't the genuine article.

Absolutely love this car. But the rear spoiler / wing has to go. It makes this car fit into the ricer crowd and that's not what this car is all about.
Insurance quotes are correct. Very cheap to insure

Sad about the gas guzzler tax on these. Just how many other cars are getting 24 MPG on the highway with 755 gross HP? City driving would be above other cars if driven lightly most would presume. The Feds simply threw out the rules on this model and taxed it, period. Idiots...they should go after the railroads locomotives and Truckers while dealing with their unions and see how far they get with them.

Some questions: 1. As to this particular ZR1, do you happen to know how much the paint protection cost? 2. As to the ZR1 in general, do all the automatics come with the remote start? 3. Do you know if the low wing and the high wing are interchangeable?
It will be interesting to see if GM will produce the ZR1 for 2020. If they do, I think GM could raise it up a notch by it having a wide body rear to help balance off the extra width of the front. That being said, GM could then go wider with the rear wheels, like to 13". Lastly, from my perspective, to put "The King of the Hill" OVER the hill, the coups de gras would be to make a 2020 in a true race version WITH side exhaust.

1. I'm not certain on the paint protection, but I believe it was in the neighborhood of $4,000- $5,000. They got almost the entire car wrapped in Suntek film. All autos do come with remote start 👍🏻 The wings could definitely be swapped out or taken off all together. It's just bolted on right behind the hatch.
I think we'll definitely see a C8 ZR1, but it will most likely be around 2023- 2024 at the earliest. This thing is a beast though! I hope you have a chance to check one out.

I think the C7 ZR1 is the pinnacle of modern Corvette aesthetics. You can’t really compare it to the C2 and early C3 cars, those are such classic looks that they hold a unique and special place in Vette history. But in terms of modern Vettes (C4 to present) this ZR1 seems to pull it all together in a way that really puts the exclamation point at the end of the front engine Vette era! Well done Chevrolet. Instant classic.

The insurance quote was correct. The thinking is that not a lot of ppl crash these. Have you ever heard anyone say ppl are always crashing zr1’s? Also they are not exactly easy to steal, unless car jacked and if so they would be easily identified since not many ppl own these. Last but not least it’s made in America so parts aren’t an issue
