This was at the top of hip house in chi town. Soon after chi town house fell off. I remember this hitting the air. Couldn't get enough. Had to find it at Dj Int. rec store on Cicero ave.
This jam came out when I wAs 18 and loved this jam but now I am 40 and am appreciating the music back in the early 90's brings back lots of memory's love it
R.i.p. Kool Rock Steady. Love the back n forth with KRS 1( who now does the elite impersonating thing with Latex and the Shit that goes with it-ear piece, nose piece that he sure as hell needed, etc..... Just to stay relevant in today’s world and not so great Music Scene in today’s world.) . Since I’m now on The Wrong Side of 50 and My Brother- Out of The DJ game now- used to take me( more of a Prog and softer Rock Music Lover- Bands like Pink Floyd, Early Peter Gabriel Era and 1st 4 Phil Collins led L/P’s of Genesis 1970-1980, Moody Blues, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Yes, King Crimson, The Beatles, The Police, Bob Marley and The Wailers and a few others- But also Old R & B, Soul, Some Jazz, Some Blues and Funk like Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Al Green, Al Jareau ( his Jazz was alright ), Jeffrey Osbourne, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergast, Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin( My personal favorite....Queen of Soul.... R.I.P. My Queen ), Muddy Waters, Little Walter= Greatest at Blowing that Harp Ever- Harmonica, Howlin’ Wolf, Albert King, Billy Preston, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Hall & Oates, Loggins & Messina, Whitney Houston, Ike n Tina, Tina Turner, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Sly and Family Stone, George Clinton- Funkadelics, etc. ) to all the Old school Clubs where he usually DJ’d at like Hightops, Julians Garage, Cairo’s, Phoenix, Eric’s North and later Shadows, etc. This Music, Deep House, Acid House, Freestyle, High Energy and Club Music are what was usually played. Great Times those pre Internet, pre Pandemic and The Girls were totally different in Personality= Way Better. Thanks for This Old School Hip House. Love all types of Music Obviously.
