what do you need to do when your suit gets lost in de mail? my suit was shipped from the Usa to the netherlands and it got "lost" and im not able to contact the USPS. What should i do?

I know this is super late.
But try and contact the maker and postal services to see if they can do anything.
In most cases, you won't be able to get a full refund from your maker (because material and labour costs etc) but should definitely be able to get a refund on shipping.
Annoyingly, you might just have to commission another suit and hope it doesn't get lost this time.
But again, talk to the maker about it.
There are some generous makers that'll remake a head or parts for free if lost in shipping.

#QNA My fursona has four arms and four eyes, how do you think would be the best way to translate that to a fursuit?

GlitchCatCreations I’d say either some kind of hard wearing string to connect the two as long as the one underneath your actual arm isn’t too heavy (unfortunately it’s hard to make string invisible) or the arms wouldn’t move at all and would instead be stuffed with something to look full and just hand at the sides. For the eyes the two you see out of would of course be easy, you can put the other two wherever you’d like and you wouldn’t have to make it that you can see through them, unless you want to of course. If they’re follow me eyes just make 4 holes for each eye and make them as you’d make the eyes normally. If you were to use the mesh on them to allow visibility it may also give you extra fresh air inside the head.
You could also put some kind of bendable metal in the two extra arms ( I’m not very clever so idk what metal would work) or wiring so you can pose them however you’d like, or you can attach them to your actual body in a pose for example hands on your hips.

My bug fursona is very simple, he has line eyes and very skinny legs (he has 6) so im with u XD
Extra arms sew on to the fursuit, and maybe make them posable by adding wire? And just make extra holes on the foam head, now you are DOUBLE VISION guy XD
So does mine. For the extra arms I might just fill them and then put them in pockets on hoodies or something. For the eyes I'm not sure. My sona is a spider. I'll think more on it then get back to you
Callum Mightytree you can buy some pretty strong "invisible string" from your local magic shop, or just take some string from a torn pantyhose! :P

I had the most awkward experience at my grandmas. So I have a cousin that think that “furries shouldn’t have rights” and they were telling me and I was just sitting there telling them that they didn’t have a correct information about furries but of coarse they didn’t listen😔

Raptor masks (or t-Rex masks) have really grown on me.
At first I was like “no” but now I can see that you can really make them look super good!

I've watched many, many fursuit parade videos (often uploaded by people like Barton Fox) and I've seen a fair few owl sonas/suits, I think it's perfectly fine to have an owl fursona and anyone discouraging you are letting their bias/immaturity get in the way!
I love this video and the humour you put into it. Especially the peeps in your pouch bit. And as for Dino masks same. I adore them used as fursuit head bases and it’s also sad that you can’t buy them in shops in Australia. And you can make heaps adorable suits from them. And I don’t know about you but I think there is I considered as a god tier maker that started on Dinomasks. I recommend that you look up Neffertity on UA-cam. I love her fursuits and the way she uses dinomasks as a medium on some of her fursuits like Vega and the way she made that dragon. Also I see that the mainstream media reporting on the Chlorine attack at MFF isn’t unbiased and professional about that also they take that as a joke. But from then to now because furrys are becoming close to mainstream, at least they behaved in a professional manner.

One thing I absolutely love about the new dino mask trend is that it really gets people thinking about having fursonas that are other species that aren't canines. Don't get me wrong, I love canine fursonas, but I'd really like to see more variety and seeing dino masks in the fandom is just so cool! And of course it helps people get started on fursuit making and gets more youngins to join this wonderful fandom and community!
My fursuit glasses were 3D printed; I commissioned them specifically to match the design of my fursona, who wears very square glasses.
#QNA Hey Pocari! I’m currently making a suit of my sona, which is a hairless cat, so I’m making it out of fleece. Could you disinfect and wash it like any other fursuit, or do you wash it differently?

Fleece is going to be rather hot, not as bad as full pile fur but still hot. The mix of water and alcohol solution is still going to be the best way to disinfect it. I see quite a few suits of critters who use minky alone and they still disinfect the same way. I know I'm not who you asked but I figured I would throw in my two cents. Have two partial suits in the house and we disinfect regularly.

YES!! I am currently learning how to make a Dino mask fursuit head, and I can’t afford a “real” fursuit head bc I’m still pretty young, and they are making life SO MUCH EASIER!! The suit can actually look professional and all I have to worry about getting better at are making the ears, attaching the foam and fur, and attaching to horns!
Bruh ima go up to those news interviews in suit and spray chlorine in their office so they can feel what those poor furs felt

Nice vid! I've taken first aid as well and you are correct. Unfortunately, they didn't cover cutting someone out, but we did move clothing out of the way for practice. I really hope no fur deciced to test the validity of your statements. :-/
I actually find pokesonas cute, though I wasn't sure if they were more anthropomorphic, or more like pets. I'm planning a panel on fursonas at GFM and, while I will actively discourage utilizing a copywirtten character as your sona (ie. Nick Wilde, Simba, Po, etc.), I think it's ok if it's a species, like pokemon, or night furies.
I've seen quite a few of these dino masks in the furry subReddit and I find them to be really cool and quite unique! Initially, I didn't consider them as "real" fursuits (like the Maskimals), but had no issue with people wearing them. You do what you gotta do. Now, however, I feel that if you treat the head as a "base" and customize it, it's just as unique and one-of-a-kind as a fursuit. :-)

Be careful with Pokémon merch in conventions! A few years ago at Japan Expo in France, Toei and Pokémon Company employees went through artists booths and confiscated a LOT of fanart. I think they leave people online alone due to the HUGE amount of fanworks for sale out there, but cons can definitely be different!!

1 - Who would be the best maker to go to to order a Hyena fursuit? I've only come across RoodHyena and mixedcandy! They are both really goo but either don't take commissions from people under 18 or they don't don't make digi suits...
2 - What do you feel about minors getting fursuits? Why?

I'm actually looking at diying my own fursuit head and use a raptor mask as the base shell and combine with with some techniques from making terrain and a gentle application of brute force to make it into my fairly cartoonish sharksona head, the biggest feature I want in a head is the ability to eat and drink without much issue so the fact raptor masks have a jaw is brilliant

@@lycaptain thanks, I've got to plan the geometry out and stuff, I'm mainly after it for the working jaw mechanism so I can est and drink in it, as I have done costume stuff before (not furry cause I didn't have cash for something that expensive) but in thick clothes in the summer at renesaunce fairs and other such events, staying hydrated and fed while in charecter became a very important thing, which is why my charecter caries a glass with him everywhere which can contain all sorts of beverages, when around kids or in pubmic its coke root beer or soda water and lime juice and when around adults it's a Cuba libre old fashion or gin rickey

Ok so the suits with pockets. Pockets are easy to put in seams. And the probably will look ok, and if you add Velcro to shut them, they may not even be noticeable.

#QNA Idk if you’ve answered this in a previous video, I’m relatively new to your channel, but how do you make clothes for fursuits?? Especially unusual clothes (such as hats or knitted clothes.) I know some fursuit makers will just add the cloth the color of the clothes and shave it down a bunch but what if I want something detachable?? My main fursona wears a shirt, hat and headphones, and a feather necklace. The necklace seems pretty straight forwards but idk what to do about the hat and shirt. I also have a fursona named Mellow who is based off of pillow forts. (I love him so much he’s so flipping cute-) he’s wearing a winter hat and has a lot of layers to his clothes and I wanna make a suit of him when I finish my main fursona. How should I make clothes?? QwQ (dang I should stop adding them to my ocs)
(Edit) also just to clarify, I don’t mean like.. having clothes on with the fursuit, I mean clothes being part of the fursuit. Not just have a partial and wearing clothes with it.

As a cosplayer yes you can were a mask I've worn full face prosthetics too but with masks as long as you CAN take it off upon request by staff or security and you are super aware for the risks a full blown conversation should be fine. But be aware that some conversations may say no do to security reasons and in those cases half masks are usually okay. Be safe and aware and if your unsure check the con rules and or the security.

I have a fursona with a lot of colors, but part of his design is that some parts of him aren’t fur because he’s patchwork and he’s meant to look like he was repeatedly repaired by a child who’s just learning to sew and only knows how to repair things with patches. Would that make it be more expensive to get a fursuit of him because of how many colors there are, or less expensive since a lot of the fabric used could just be cotton or t-shirt material and most of the seams are supposed to be visible?

Dino masks are amazing for the young and older furry community. I have a full suit first then I got a Dino mask and I love them they are amazing! I made mine into a mini partial and I have to say I love it! SUPPORT THE YOUNGER FURRIES!

So, for at least 2 years now, I have been thinking of a huge project and my patience is running low each day I think about basically anything that has something to do with the furry community. I want to make myself a fursuit, but I'm still quite young (15yrs.), etc. Another thing is, I'm going to make it all by my hands and it's gonna cost me A LOT of both money and time. I still have some ideas to complete, but the project is slowly being finished by each step. Should I start working on some certain parts of the fursuit or should I wait till I'm at least 19 or something? Because I'm afraid that at 19 I won't have that much time and yeah haha- What do you think I should do?

I have a partial fursuit, and I don't really know how to transport the head? A backpack, a suitcase? What do you think? I don't think I can wear it in the train ^^ !

You MIGHT could stay in suit through a whole con (meals would be challenging!) but one time you MUST dehead is at registration. Everyone requires that you look like your ID (and that you're over 18). Other cons (like BLFC) won't let you wear your head on the casino floor

stealing a suit is like stealing someones dream and money
someone who commissioned me a little while ago had only a traditional ref of their character, i asked if they had a digital colour palette they would like me to pick from to ensure accuracy since i wanted to make sure they would be happy with the colours (they ended up using that art as a new ref with my permission so that they could commission others with ease!). If someone gives you a traditional ref with no clear palette don't be afraid to ask!
