Garen 1 LAS last season here, Phase Rush is better in most cases if not all, even against tank champions like Malphite, Ornn or Chogath, and it's because Garen works practically as an assassin, so your goals during mid and late game is to oneshot the mages/adc/assassins, the best build currently is to go 75% or 100% critical and use totally defensive or utility runes for a better balance, the berserk boots are again viable in Garen due to the upgrade, but still the speed ones are still better, especially the upgraded ones, you move so fast that you can enter, one-shot someone in the middle of the enemy team and leave quickly with Phase Rush.
Ex NA Chall Garen here, I agree Phase Rush is better in nearly all cases. However, these KR Garen players go for level 1/2 trades and all-ins that are only winnable with Conqueror. Perhaps that is the mindset required to get Chall in KR.

One thing you should mention is that Gabungking (best KR Garen) build Shojin 2nd as it stack really fast with E, combine with Axiom Arcanist gave you 26% bonus dmg on ult -> 60% hp kill threshold guaranted. This build can cut down a frontline tanker with speed of light so that can give your team a big advantage in combat. Just add only Arcanist to your build is not enough, it should come with Shojin for maximum damage output

1. Phase Rush is definitely worth mentioning in some games. This is just a personal thing but I do Phase Rush every single game, even when Conqueror would be better in theory. I just like how the movement speed feels. 2. Berserkers aren’t bad on paper but Swifties are just way better in comparison. Again, personal thing, but I also prefer them over Berserkers in (almost) every game now. And that‘s not even considering the Tier 3 version which has been OP for obvious reasons. Even the Tier 1 version feels better than BG.

Last year--- all his items got nerfed, so we buff him right. Give his lvl 18w at lvl 1 4 seconds.... few months later... we buff all his items again. Do we really need% increase on true damage ults in this game? Bro I personally think a lot of shit is fkd and its not getting better.
