In a book on Frankston history (used to be in the library) it talks about how the local indigenous people killed their own infants as they could see there was no future for them.
I’ve lived on Nepean highway Frankston for seven and a half years and even in this short time there’s been many changes. I can imagine how pristine Kanamook Creek would have been before Europeans arrived in the Frankston region. Now it’s polluted and stinks sadly
It is one way of spinning the Frankston story, but unfortunately the Bunnerong people do not get much say in it. I grew up in Langwarrin in the 1950's and Frankston was a good town. We never learnt aboriginal history though.
Thank You so much … absolutely loving these History Clips… 🙏
in the 70s and 80s it was beautiful and as a teenager loved living there ..its gone down hill these days..its very sad..
There's thousands of years of history, pre-dating this ,it was a thriving community for aboriginal people ,this shouldn't be forgotten .
