I need to find this man. I think he did I first flyers
Please we need this dude
I think It would be an interesting subject to investigate. I myself have no particular interest in who was first, but I can tell you from the flyers I've studied that Eddie Ed (Buddy Esquire's bro), Buddy Esquire, Dot La Rock, Phase 2, and Anthony Riley were all active to varying degrees in 1978.
But I haven't seen flyers from earlier than that by *any* of the aforementioned designers, though I have seen a couple of earlier flyers. But none really have the style of the golden age of hip-hop flyers from '78 onward. Even for research purposes, though, flyers made prior to 78 are super hard to come by. So it's somewhat hard to say.
I'm a flyer umm designer, jk, this is excellent appreciate how this is building. Bless ✨🥂✨
I have around 20 of his original flyers.
Hit our archive director if you would like to donate it or loan it out.
I plan to stop by the museum with my collection. I have around 140 authentic flyers, from '78-'81, from many of the Flyer-ologists ( Including Danny T and Phase 2) from back in the day. Eddie Edd (Lyle) and Buddy Esq were both in my crew. I have about 70 of their flyers in my collection as well. Stay tuned!
