man, Shadows sounds so bad here 😢 - super pitchy verses and chorus, and why is his voice so distorted on notes that are meant to be clean and melodic? he's screaming "sign of time" and "can't be right" for no reason 🫠
Unfortunately, Shads seems to be struggling with Afterlife since 2023. Generally, after his injuries in 2018, clean notes seem to be hard for him to sustain. And afterlife switches very seamlessly between distorted and clean notes. Bat Country seems to be another tough one. I can also imagine that these songs are overplayed for him which might increase his struggle to project his voice correctly.
@berislavkardum1345 Yeah, I think he sounds good on a lot of tracks but I've noticed Afterlife is kind of right in between his chest and head registers, and that's very clearly what hes struggling with the most. like he can't access his mix with ease or something. its just so unfortunately 'cause its such a melodic, pretty song but hes sounding all over the place and unstable with it. wishing him the best and hoping he doesnt end up damaging his voice again 😥
I don't think it sounded bad, there're some songs that his new voice sounds way better than a couple years ago, i think it was solid, not the best, but not the worst either
So happy that Zacky voice is so loud! He can really sing and harmonize

i thought distortion was an artistic choice and it kinda sounds cool idk
