Fans are very quick to say how much of a big jump it is from college to the NFL, however they rarely have the patience to allow a young player to acclimate to that jump me included. Its been amazing having PQ in Baltimore seeing how much he's improved every single season one of my favourite guys to watch on this defense
My Steelers just signed PQ and I knew you do really good player breakdowns, so I had to come see if you made a video on him.

I thought his overall game started to really change after the New England game in 2022. I am happy to admit him making me eat my frustrations. I am equally as happy to see him get a big payday whether here or elsewhere. He earned every penny. He entered the NFL at only 20 years old, crazy!!
I love the way he plays. And yes, I agree with you that before Roquan came to Bmore, Queen was playing well. He is such an unselfish player. I also agree with you that he is the best in the NFL at picking an OL and giving one of his teammates a chance to make a play. I would like him to stay in Bmore, him and Roquan are great together.
He had the highest # of tackles on the team before Roquan got there
Unfortunately it is all too common for fans to designate a young talent a bust. Jamison Williams has been going through that in Detroit and still has way too many doubters. Kudos to Patrick and Jamison for blocking out the doubters and coming to work and becoming really good players. Frankly, it's also a problem in the HC and GM world but that's a subject for another day.
Now odafe is another story. Not sold on him
I love PQ as a player and leader of our defense. It makes no sense to me to allow another team to benefit from his development. I heard a lot of the same things about Roquan in his first couple seasons. The Bears are who we thought they were. Roquan couldn't make them the best defense in the league, but with this group with PQ next to him, the Ravens have been the best.
Would love to see them both alongside each other for years. Great pairing. But I could not blame him for pursuing Free Agency at this point to see what he can get. Great opportunity for Queen.
@all_22_films If I was EDC, PQ would be a Raven. At this point, the market will decide the price, but the player is worth the cost. Linebackers generally are worth whatever they get much more reliably than other positions. They tend to be durable and difference makers the most often. They are the hardest thing to scheme around imo because of the range and area they control. From a market standpoint, there is more demand than suppliers, unlike edge where Clowney and Van Noy were just sitting around waiting. The Bills and Eagles defenses fell off hard when the linebackers went down.
I don't see us ever beating KC with an AJ Kline in the lineup.
@all_22_films It's kinda funny how the Bears gave Edmunds almost what Roquan got and paid a sidekick.
Just a quick look at the 24 cap commitments shows they can, and probably will create a bunch of space with simple restructuring any of the top 6 guys.
I truly believe the Ravens need to retain 6 and 92 and add 2 other big contract guys to the mix in order to get past the teams with a dozen or more of such deals. They can get by with a couple less because of the draft success and veteran value starters, but imo the best overall roster is usually playing for the championship, and the Ravens were a guy or two short without JK and Andrews at full speed.

I don't know about anybody else but lve been saying that EDC's picks haven't been getting the coaching they needed! Queen, Matabeque, the secondary and the wide receivers prove it for me. Mariucci always says "you gotta coach em up". I think McDonald and Munkin did that.
Do you think the new DC could have any influence in keeping Queen in Baltimore? Being a former linebacker and having coached PQ, could he sway the ownership into offering a deal?

Tough and unselfish football player. Very physically talented, definitely. But the level of unselfishness that he plays with is truly fun to watch. He will make other guys better. Congrats on a great signing.

I really enjoyed watching PQ progression as a Raven. 1 of the youngest in his draft for ppl to act like there wasn’t gonna be a learning process is ridiculous. I never seen a MLB time the snap count during a blitz better than PQ & I’m 37. Guy had a sack, FF, 2F recovered & a TD his rookie yr against the bengals. Ima watch this guy regardless of where he plays once a Raven always a Raven 🖤💜🖤💜🖤

The financial argument doesn't make sense to me either. Bosa and Young combination is 54 million alone, and they still pay Warner, Greenlaw, Ward, and Kinlaw top of the market.
The Ravens only have 6 big contracts on the books.
The greatest trick the devil pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. The nfl almost pulled a better one by convincing the world that the salary cap does exist. It means almost nothing when you can move the money to the future without interest. It's almost the opposite of interest because it takes a lower percentage of the cap in future caps.
The Ravens aren't going to win the championship by being cheap. SF and the dirty dozen all stars that all make all star money will be waiting. Or a squad like the Rams or Bucs will be there in the championship game ready to overwhelm with talent any opponent with a weak spot.

He came in w/o a lot of experience in college plus bn a FRP added pressure. Early in his career he would miss a lot of tackles. Cleaned that up thru hard work now it's paying off...plus he doesn't miss games!!
I judged pq early because of his high draft pick. Team needs you to show up fast when drafted high. I noticed his progress just as quickly and have been enjoying the ride since

100%. It is. The film from this year was amazing, for the overwhelming majority of plays. Just very impressed to see what he did to become a complete player.

@@all_22_films PQ is not a complete player... You don't think its ironic PQ became a "better player" when Roquan got there.... Roquan calls out the opposing team plays making it easy for PQ to make plays... Trenton Simpson will fill PQ role with ease.
SO happy PQ is going to be gone. TRENTON SIMPSON will be an upgrade.
