what i really need is the end game AI to be better designed, last time i gave up when i was being asked to pay 1000 gold a month after winning 10 battles in a row, can you make a mod with a difficulty slider bar for these things, like stellaris would have?

religion, sea travel and battles, more lands with different factions, better diplomacy options, can intract with ally armies, better army decisions , more raiding from lords like in warband
more ladders, towers, rams, firing arrows and burning oil for siege

It always baffled me how much work they put into town design and then the game actively pushes you to use menus.
We JUST NEED MORE DIPLOMATIC OPTIONS.. Like c'mon... You cant do simple things like ask for a war truce, create alliance with reigns to battle against others. Like FUCK... We dont even have a system to know the relationship % with other reigns... WTF, this is so fucking BASIC.
Modders do a much better job of making Bannerlord into a proper game than TaleWorlds ever could.
That's because these modders don't have to worry about many things game devs do

I am so mad at how Taleworlds handled this potential masterpiece of a game.

Hunting and wild animals in bannerlord will give more life to The game for sure. And yeah agreed with you, more huge quests and more to do in towns would be awsome. And what if you can get quests from your family members and campinons?
i dont understand how they can be this slow updating the game or even just keeping us in the loop of the things they are working or planning to work on. 3 years! since we got a future plan is crazy

I really wish we just have more interaction to do quest for townspeople randomly talking and hand out food personally or paying off everyone taxes for month. Also tavern should be more fun interactions.
I heard that the modding tools aren’t fully done so that’s all I want to be released. I think having new content is good but i hope their just properly adding the mechanic fros warband so modders don’t have to.
Got to love Bannerlord, although I've started using the overhauls mods like Realm of Thrones, looking forwards to the other overhaul mods modders are creating aswell.
Would like to see subversion introduced.
Put the roguery skill to good use, use it to build spy and traitor networks in opposing factions. If you improve or have good relations with criminal or sympathetic elements in cities, they could reduce militia & garrison numbers, seriously restrict enemy recruitment in the provence, divert trade funding to your pocket, or even tamper with seiges such as putting severe restrictions on defender ammunition, sabotaging defensive weaponry or opening the gates for you.

Over 200 hours not played the game in months I'm on console so the vanilla gets boring after a while with no mods to freshen things up
Would be nice to have a Scenario feature where you start under different circumstances and have to complete tasks. For example, a scenario where you inherent the thrown to your chosen country but its in complete disorder and you have to fix it by passing new laws, build up towns, and earn the trust of rebellious lords.
On the flipside, you could start as a rebel leader with the support of a handful of lords and push to take over the kingdom you choose.
I would expect claimants to be procedural to some extent in Bannerlord since you know. The sandbox were they expect you to get to be a great grandfather yet have no late game content other than repeatable actions like siege/ battle /trade. Would like some family intrigue were family members of the leader or sons of each clan leader pop up the question. Why am I not in charge. Or getting angry and joining another empire as a vassal.
Fire, horns torches and smoke signals for the battles. Alliances between factions, more civil wars between factions. More slip and slide for the horsey bois, finally id like there to be more civil unrest features, decadance, riots, plagues, maybe just rip one straight off of stellaris and introduce crisises
I only have an xbox, I enjoy bannerlord it's the best battle simulation game I have ever played! But it could of been so much better.
If only Telewords start coop with mod scene. Add every single mod as a choice to play with tick on or off in main menu. That's solve problem with updates and add revolution in game. Like Dying Light 2 - They listen community and add the most promises ideas to the game
The cosmetics need work too. Let us wear sholder armor or what ever we want like some NPC lords. Crown of a selected culture of choice once you become ruler. More romance options, hunting with family or something. Gold court and hear out lords and notables grumbles and suggestions for the kingdom/empire (land disputes, gang problems etc.) When developing fiefs, have at least some workers in the walls when walking through the settlement. Feasts where people are actually eating. Revamped Tournaments with Jousting exactly as they did with the fence barrier. Religion.
Why cant we forge shields and armour
My favorite kind of gameplay choice is bandits only or companions only. So..more kind of bandit units( really need better bandit cavalry) be able to manage my own bandit lair/settlement to drop prisonners/equipment/food and still be able to be a mercenary even if i now "own land"
Mercenary clans should all have a base(s)
Be able to hire at least 30 to 40 companions so i can do all kind of quests that require a certain number of units
Developers are probably just going to do minor bug fixes, maybe adding some minor content not worth noting. What will be promised is how all mods will be broken lmao.

What happened to this game? Sure, it's never been a huge success but it has a dedicated fanbase. Where is the passion from the creators? Why does TaleWorlds seem so demoralized? They have a wonderful game on their hands and they seem to be squandering it.
I bought the game and refunded cuz I don't think it's worth the asking price in its state even on sale.
The issue is where are all the mods. The base game even warband wasn't all to great but modsade it epic novel etis was my favorite

What are you talking about adding content for? this game is horrible and unplayable. Its been 6 years in a row of crashing and impossible to play for more than a few hours. Exactly the same complaints from since 2017. Devs have never fixed this game and never will. Not worth your time, it fools you into thinking the game works-it doesnt. It only works if your a computer programmer with a willingness to spend 1 hour programming the game per 1 hour of fixing the crashes.

I just want a road map. If Taleworlds won’t communicate with the fanbase, then it’s pretty easy to say it’s an abandoned game. I love Bannerlord. I’ve got 4,500 hours, but I have no idea if we will ever get new multiplayer maps or game modes or improved tactical overhauls. I want to be exited for the games future, but it’s becoming difficult to hold out hope.

TBH we need to have actual diplomacy system, more intresting mercenary and minor clans and new factions with map expansion. I dont know if IT wouldnt be better for every one if TW would create some DLC for 10-20$. Then maybe we wouldnt get shit content.
what we actually need is an actual endgame, the game is incredibly fun in early mid game where you constantly progress but in the endgame is just a repetitive grind, declaring war, taking a few fiefs, make peace, repeat,plus money is totally useless in the endgame, you get so mich and got nothing to spend these vast amounts on, there should be an extensive and expensive city builder that would cost a lot but would give you cosmetics like statues, decorations etc

If your cities loyalty is low you should be able to do quests inside the city to increase its loyalty
This gives a actual proper reason to walk around the town
Here's what TW could have done.
Implement all of the features from warband. Seriously, I miss getting ambushed, and then finding out who is sending assassins after me.
Create Viking Conquest: Bannerlord edition. I miss those ambush battles so much.
Proceed to make millions.
I disliked ambushes and assassins tbh. It didnt made sense when i had 2k renown, over 50 tournement wins and people kept ambushing me lol.

There is that tavern drunk that will scurry away if you mention who you are.

The real problem in Bannerlord is the end game, and the problem with the end game is even though you might not have the whole map conquered, the only thing left to do is to wait on waging wars to take over territory. There's no thought of follow through on things to do while you're in that mode. While Modders have done a great job with diplomacy, garrisons, and RTS mods as a whole, they are still hamstrung by the base game. BL is such a great game and the saving grace is it's battles and sieges, I cannot get enough of that but the in-between times is where the real struggle/boredom sets in. There's literally nothing to do. And while the game has a lot of potential I'm afraid BL updates are going to be mostly consisting of fixes and reworks of already existing systems. Don't expect them to do any reworking of the actual base gameplay. They've already made their money.
I would love to see religion added into the game, much like Viking Conquest. Its a small flavor thing that makes a big difference, and can add alot more quests. Like, immagine a Valandian monk who needs escort around a city, and he gets ambushed? Or a Kuzhite pilgrim who wishes to travel to Batania before a holiday?

It's really a shame to see TW let M&B die like this; not with a bang but with a wet fart. Of course, I got my hundreds of hours of gameplay in already and enjoyed it for what it's worth, but I didn't get the same thrill and sense of immersion as I did with Viking Conquest. Can anyone explain to me what VC did better than Bannerlord despite the engine improvements?
It has more features, and was actually FINISHED.
From premiere i saying one thing: Diplomacy. And maybe more life. Feasts, duel, managment problems, etc.
I'm on pc, but if I was on console I'd prolly have called this a scam at this point - I know it seems harsh to say, but the way this game was oversold on before launch and mind you this game is out in full retail, and not a beta.
So for me I can use mods and the game is pretty good with it, without the mods on the other hand the experience is lacking to put it mildly.
Diplomacy mod, smalltalk, recruit anyone to party, marry anyone, workshop & caravan fixes and all the other mods that fixes many things.(Hold court aswell for immersion).
So I can pick those mods and get the features that you know more or less TW told us about, sure they may add in them later on, but its going way to slow.
I know many dont like me compareing them to Larian, but I had them and TW as beta at the same time, and the experience before launch, and post have been so vastly different.
Larian do keep on pushing real patches, that adds in new content etc based on feedback etc.
I think in the time since the last real patch as you mention June 2023 - Larian have pushed in 3-4 real big content patches.
Now you cant compare BG3 and Bannerlord thats true, but the level of clear and good communication and exceeding their promises to the customers though by Larian is crazy vs the experience of TW.
I'll be really salty and say it like it is, the core difference is Sven at Larian vs the leader of TW.
The leader of TW was the right man to give us Warband when it was just his brother and wife that made the game more or less.
But Bannerlord was just too big a project for his management skill, not to mention that they got greedy and went on delivering on all platforms.
Should have focused on getting the pc version first solid and great, and the ported it over.
Now no one is happy, as no on gets what they need/want from the game, well sans us pc who can use mods to get the experience we desire.
I get that TW no doubt suffer from the issues in Turkey in regards to the economics there with its hyperinflation etc(66% or so last year?)(dont quote me on the number).
But communicating with us is the bare minimum.
Just be honest we are working our asses of to do our best, but we have had issues due to economic situation in the country, so we hope to deliver patch 1.30 by December 2024.
I also feel that the lack of communication is the most frustrating thing, making in feel scammy in total. They refuse to adress the elephant in the room that they completely oversold and underdelivered and that barely anything happened since 2020 even though the game sold well
Dude base game is worth tens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay. It is stable and has tremendous replay/roleplay value. Aside from diplomacy and ai there is nothing they have underdelivered ? How is it a scam ? Are you sure you are not using the game for other purposes ?
Game needs ai improvements, map and faction expensions and more randomized gameplay. and all of this maybe except randomized gameplay should be toggleable. Game is already a micromanagement in late mid game
There is still alot of features that they advertised back in time when people purchased the game. Example that you could "marry anyone" you can not. In the demo's etc they married wanderers etc(you can with mods)
As for the amount or hrs you can play no doubt you can play it thousands of hrs (I have :P)
The problem isnt as apparanet on pc(which I use) but if you are on the forums you'll see that the consoles suffer alot from crashes etc - which isnt stable at all.
Vanilla pc is def superstable on my end, with mods its relative stable but will crash but thats the mods not vanilla.
I meant its more a scam for the consoles and less so for pc, besides the underdelivered content.

The game is good but clearly can do a whole better, I see Bannerlord as the same case with Fallout 4, it's good but has potential to be way better, for Fallout being better RP-ing and better settlement.
And about comparing with Larian, I think the fact Larian is a bigger studio is the reason why they can bring more real patches. But yeah about lack of communication, TW should be better.
This lack of communication does make it sound like they abandoned the ship, and is working on another game.
I mean take a look at Project Zomboid, and how open they are with the updates, even when it comes to delaying.

I feel they oversold Bannerlord too much and there is little progress when we the customers have complained about it, and they've been given fair chance to rectify the issue imo, hence I think it borders on scam "we got your money now - what can you do".
Had we had meaningful communication from the company with roadsmaps etc then I would take it back in a heartbeat no doubt about it.
You where promised a 250g burger when you ordered with fries and drink included and paid in full.
You got the fries - soggy, drink was hot coca-cola, the burger was just 150g.
Was it a good experience, yah it was ok, but was it what you where promised on sale? - not really..
I'm stretching it, and for pc its less and issue as modders fix it, but the console-brothers in arms not so lucky..

Yah Larian is bigger 445 vs TW 130 - but lets face it - its not our fault TW perhaps is understaffed is it now?
Given that TW earned how many millon on sales of Bannerlord? 3million sold, and I'm not sure what the median price of it is though - but for simple math lets say 50 USD - 150M USD one could argue that they should be able to get enough profit to hire more staff though to bring the game experience to acceptable lvl and or what they promised.

I'm gonna say it... PC modding is actually a double-edged sword and the reason is that the actual developers go "oh, well they can just make their own content" and the console players are left with developers who aren't even working on their game.
They will come through. They were always very slow, but they will come through. They said diplomacy will come, so it will come

Quality will always be over quantity until the quality takes literally years between major updates
@@tnty1561 I COMPLETELY agree, they barely ever update the game, and when they do it's mostly miner patches, don't get me wrong though, sometimes they add actual fun systems, like being able to push a ladder down, or if we're lucky, get a new helmet that looks good, but they could definitely add more with how much time it takes between each update.
I wish we could get a game that's something like a merge between KCD and M&B
We need a dlc with a whole new faction and new things to do like customize our castles and towns and mabye have manors that act as houseing and a fort hell they should do the thing that halo is doing halo takes the maps created by people and implements them into the base game imo bannerlord devs could take some things from modders obviously giving them some credit but it would ultimately make the base game better and it would help modding because then they can focus on other things exaplme being diplomacy just use a modders version of a diplomacy mod then the modders wont have to focus on that and can focus on other assets like unique armor and weapons
