Hey Brock! Sorry, I know I had commented on the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, but youtube must be thinking im typing the other word everytime I try to reply! We got one of theese yesterday! A while back when we went to get this trigger they didn't have it, but they had a humu so we got it! Then a couple days later, it died! Then we ordered a clown trigger waiting for a month but the guy at our fish store said that "We can't get one for your size tank". But, they had this trigger so we got it a little later! So far, it's doing really good! Man, it devours those clams. My dad also really likes it because he had one when he was in his 20's! Thank you Brock!
I had one and he definitely ate live crustaceans. One of the coolest fish I EVER had. Just watching them swim is fascinating. They swim like a little mechanical motor fish
I just got one he's in the QT right now. He came from a reef tank and the previous owner said he was docile. I got him and a sailfin, she said they were buddies. I'm putting him in my reef tank, wish me luck.
I moved mine into my 30g temporarily to take care of a pair of rouge emerald crabs. Crabs decided to eat 2 of my baby clowns so I figured, time to bring in the big guns
You say to feed Trigger, clams in a half shell...can you just get these at the supermarket and bust them open and feed raw? Or is it a special variety of clams to feed?
PokeMORE! - Pack Openings and MORE! Are you feeding them well? Messing in the tank too much? Getting bullied by eachother? Ummm what levels did you test?
I have one in a 29 gallon bio cube tank and I was thinking of buying a anemone for my clownfish. Will the trigger eat the anemones and all other corals?
Elsa192016 Alicia No they aren’t coral eaters. The main reason they are “with caution” in reef tanks is because they have a tendency to eat your clean up crew.
Getting one as a juvenile, they will last up 2-3 years, but eventually they do get large, and can be aggressive toward the other tank mates in a smaller tank.
James Rackham Tangs are always good like the yellow tang or Tomini tang. Wrasse also, six line wrasse. Damsels are also a good choice but they can get aggressive. Gobies! Diamond gobies, yellow gobies. Cardinals!
Mine's tail is short because when i bought it it was alrwady l8ke that in the size that i got him,it was supposwd to have a long elongated fins but mine fell off

If you have a big enough tank, it's better to keep them in groups of at least 3. Sometimes they school together or I could be wrong.
I just got one he's in the QT right now. He came from a reef tank and the previous owner said he was docile. I got him and a sailfin, she said they were buddies. I'm putting him in my reef tank, wish me luck.

You say to feed Trigger, clams in a half shell...can you just get these at the supermarket and bust them open and feed raw? Or is it a special variety of clams to feed?

Hey Brock I have a suggestion for you your next video and I know you can get this one do the Nassarius snail
My water quality is awesome but my fish at breathing heavy! Why are they?
PokeMORE! - Pack Openings and MORE! Are you feeding them well? Messing in the tank too much? Getting bullied by eachother? Ummm what levels did you test?
These are saltwater fish. Are you using saltwater?
make sure the water isn't too warm
Great video!
Hey Brock my man do you have a discord?
Would these trigger fish be good on my 50 Gallon?
Yeah we've seen them do well until they get larger and outgrow the tank. By then you would want to move them as they get very territorial.
anyone clicked on this vid just cause u read the title
Will a 2 meter long tank fit him
Marvel Austin Wijaya that’s plenty of room!
Are there any coral in particular that he can’t be put with. Thanks
Sam Miles Brains, clams, and any meat LPS corals they tend to see as snacks.
Will he be okay with a koran angelfish
Singh Singh yes!
I might be getting one thx for the advice on u vids and stay safe
Singh Singh you too buddy. Thanks for watching
@brockleonard what are the 2 little black fish with blue stripes and white line ( not the cleaner wrasse) ?
Nikki Meiners Banggai Cardinals☺️
Brock Leonard thank you 🙏🏼
I have one in a 29 gallon bio cube tank and I was thinking of buying a anemone for my clownfish. Will the trigger eat the anemones and all other corals?
Elsa192016 Alicia No they aren’t coral eaters. The main reason they are “with caution” in reef tanks is because they have a tendency to eat your clean up crew.
And what do you mean by clean up crew?
Elsa192016 Alicia Snails, hermits, starfish
If I put one in a 80 gallon (300 litre) tank should it be set for life with that size tank? Thanks!
Getting one as a juvenile, they will last up 2-3 years, but eventually they do get large, and can be aggressive toward the other tank mates in a smaller tank.
In a more aggressive tank they will do great. As they get larger, some of the smaller fish will look like snacks to them.
Brock Leonard thanks bro I was thinking of putting one in a tank with puffers, lionfish and an eel.
Hi Brock, what would be some good tank mates for this fish in a mixed reef tank. Thanks
James Rackham Tangs are always good like the yellow tang or Tomini tang. Wrasse also, six line wrasse. Damsels are also a good choice but they can get aggressive. Gobies! Diamond gobies, yellow gobies. Cardinals!
Brock Leonard cheers when adding a trigger, tangs and a wrasse to a tank, does it matter what order they go in?
Will a 63 gallon tank fit him?
Marvel Austin Wijaya get em’ small :)
Mine's tail is short because when i bought it it was alrwady l8ke that in the size that i got him,it was supposwd to have a long elongated fins but mine fell off
