Just installed 14 of these for a 91' run of fence. What didn't make sense to me was the top bracket attached by a single small screw. Seems like a major weakness to have the entire top rail of the fence system attached like that. I'm deciding now whether to use those or just attach the top rail to the posts the same as the lower rails. I really don't understand the reason for the detachable bracket at all, except maybe it kept their shipping costs down by keeping the boxes under 8' long? Otherwise a great product that seems really sturdy and in the end I think will make a great and long lasting fence.

In other words , we're using the regular stop sign posts that the city has installed on the corners.

@@artaxerxes2363 on both flanges? Ours are only in the middle where a sign would be mounted. I have 25 of these lifetime posts sitting in my driveway on a pallet, they are definitely way beefier (and wider) than our local stop sign posts.

What height does a fence with this design and 92in lifetime posts come out to be? This is assuming the recommended 24in hole depth…

Do these posts require building a fence with the top cap or can I use taller pickets that stand proud of the top rail for added height?

Can these LIFETIME steel posts be installed with a post driver like competing POSTMASTER steel posts. If yes, please advise what post driver product and adapter can be used.

The postmaster adapter works. Our local yard rents out a Rhino GPD-45, which I’ll be testing out in the weeks to come.
