So glad no one got hurt! I really believe that this is no coincidence. I believe the Lord has been guiding your steps and this is just another way He is confirming your decision to move. He knows you want to please Him and He also knows that your heart”s desire is to keep your family safe. He is a good Heavenly Father. I saw the video of your new home. It looks amazing! I had a mini-split AC in my last apartment for 8 years. It was so quiet and cool and very energy efficient. So happy for you all!
Hello Gary, I grew up in a small town in Kentucky, along the Ohio River. We Killed EVERY poisonous snake that came into Our area. I think of this every time that I go in the Jungle in Mindanao with My Filipina. Take care.
We are near Zamboanguita and I often see Rat Snakes etc around here, but we had a Spitting Cobra visit here a few weeks back. It was around 1.5M long and I had to guide it away with my Crutches. First time I have seen a Cobra here in Ten years.
I had almost the same thing happen to me when my family were about to move when I was a child. An area near us was getting developed and we started seeing Michigan rattlesnakes in our yard. I think their habitat got destroyed in the development and they were trying to move to a new spot. Maybe that's why this one came around.
My Filipino family says that snakes are afraid of cats. You can google this and you'll find that it's true and that cats will hunt and can harm snakes. So, if you have an outdoor pet cat, it will help protect you. Ours wandered onto the street and got run over, unfortunately. So, we got two kittens from the neighbor but they both died of rabies and two of the kids, who got bitten by them, had to get a series of six shots each in the shoulders.
70,000 people a year on average die from snake bites in South East Asia , Philipines , Thailand , Malaysia Bali etc, that’s more then 15 years of Vietnam war, that green viper can send you to heaven
One of our dog was barking like crazy. When someone finally went round back to see what the problem was, he came face to face with a Philippine cobra. It probably wanted to get into the pens and eat a baby chick or duckling. These kind of snakes can spit their venom from 10 feet away into their victim's eyes to blind them and then attack. So, we didn't get near it but shot it with a pellet rifle. The gun jammed so we speared it with a very long bamboo pole.
My uncle had the same experience, while we were just walking in a forest. The same snake that was facing him directly, and good think it was just being curious. My uncle's reaction was scared and hilarious at same time.

Why you did not kill that scary and dangerous snake? tsk...

I would have killed it at frist sight.
I hope you killed it
I doubt it survived the last attack by my father in law 😁
No, Snakes Lives Matter.
Where is your accent from?
Thick Snake
Not keen of snakes. Maybe BGC is better for me. Glad no one was injured.
