Ukhimath- A small town in Rudrapryag district of Uttarakhand. Mainly known to tourist for Madhyamashwar, Chopta-Chandrashila and deoriatal pass by. It is famous for Omkareshwar temple- According to Hindu Mythology, the wedding of Usha (Daughter of Banasura) and Aniruddha (Grandson of Lord Krishna) was solemnized here. By name of Usha this place was named as Ushamath, now known as Ukhimath. King Mandhata had performed severe penances to Lord Shiva here. During the winter, the Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar Temples are closed due to heavy snowfall in the area. As a result, the Utsava Idols of Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar are brought from Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar to the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.

Ho sakta hai apka experience kharab ho, par Aisa bhasa ka use mat kijiye. Ham 3-4 bar rahe hai ,we didn't face any problem. Yatra k time agar aap koi bhi 4 dham area may jao tariff bohat jada hota hai. There is difference between hotels and homestay. Hamne khud per night 2000 Diya hai November ko tab to season bhi nahi tha.
