I started using your setting spray tip a few months back and I’ve totally confounded my daughter! She tells me every time I put on a full face that I look like a fairy princess! That’s a gigantic compliment because I’m almost 50 and I have lots of fine lines and wrinkles! I haven’t let her in on my secret yet LOL 😆 I can’t afford any high end products so I use the elf camo cc cream and the Milani make it dewy setting spray with the Fourth Ray dew it hyloronic mist. According to my daughter, who is really really really good at makeup, that combo turns me into a fairy princess 👸 I would love to see you do a drugstore version of this video!
I love your tip about the two setting sprays, that’s such a clever idea! I learnt to go over my face after setting spray with a sponge and I did that on my wedding day so now all my bridesmaids do that step too! I’m in the process of putting together a ‘if I were getting married now this is the makeup I would use’ video and I’d love to see what you would do if you were getting married now, what products you’d use and steps you’d follow to keep that makeup looking amazing all day! 🥰
I am 42 and just found my first truly life changing product. My makeup/face/skin doesn't feel the same now without it and that is the makeup by mario SOFTSCULPT® TRANSFORMING SKIN PERFECTOR. I have it in the shade light medium and i'll never buy another powder bronzer type product again. Some days if im running out the door i just wear this (and skincare/sunscreen of course) and have perfect bronze glowing skin and feel confident and beautiful.
I think I've probably seen every video where you've talked about the Nars foundation! I want to try it, but Mont Blanc is sold out everywhere and can't be found and it's the shade I also need, so cool it for a while Allie so everyone will stop buying it and some of us other folks can get it! LOL! I recently purchased the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray because of all the rave reviews and I do love it! I'm going to try the Huda powder you love too if I can ever find the Nars foundation in Mont Blanc.
I just found my shade - Oslo - on the Kohl's website and it's also been out EVERYWHERE! (Via Sephora at Kohl's) But it looked like they had all the shades!
I’m obsessed with setting spray. I don’t understand how people go without. I don’t want my makeup to rub off and then it look weird? Setting spray is a must
Yes the Nars light reflecting foundation has been a game changer for me this year, absolutely love the CT setting spray I'm about to start my 3 bottle but i want to try your tip with the mac fix plus aswell, love the Huda Beauty setting i rotate between that and the Nikkia Joy powder, Benifit 24hr brow setter is a holy grail aswell. I love hearing you talk about the same products because then you no its good
OMG ALLIE i did the double setting step and my makeup looked flawless all night! Definately doing that again! AMAZING TIP! so glad i have the primer water in my stash! Xxxx thankyou
Allie I bought the setting mist from colourpop cuz I saw you talking and using a lot on your videos, and honestly I loved it !!! It makes the skin so dewy, so pretty!!
🙌🏼🙌🏼 Yes, yes yesss! Rimmel stay matte powder! 💋 Used it for years and years! Probably 20 🫣. Personally not a fan of the coloured variety but the translucent is soo perfect! I’m a dewy fan but this goes between brows, sides on nose and chin to mattify! It’s perfect… like you say Allie it’s almost impossible to go over board. I’m a dry skin gal and hate all powders except this one. Best of all it’s cheap as chips! Much love xx
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Narrs light reflecting foundation with the Huda powder. I have oily skin and it does get dewy on me but it lasts for hours and doesn't break down or bunch up. It's stunning. I definitely recommend using cream products with it and then set it with the powder. I also finish my makeup with a spritz of the Caudalie Grape water and then immediately follow with Urban Decay All Nighter. It melts everything together and doesn't budge.
can you please give an update on the foundation brush... I'm very tempted to purchase but I'd love to hear your feedback now you've been using it for a while
YES to the setting spray step. I use Milani dewy and CT airbrush together...dont ask me why lol i just do. I spray once i have my foundation, bronzer, light setting powder on then again at the very end.
So I have oily skin...I love CT setting spray and need to incorporate Rimmel powder. I swear I bought it plus I have Mac Fix plus...I have to try ur tips to see if it helps my makeup look more flawless...I don't like heavy makeup 💕💕
I couldn't believe either how many people I know don't use setting spray. If you're going to go through the trouble of making your face look good, make sure it lasts! I have been on the All Nighter and Thrive train for a while now! I love them both so much. The All Nighter was the only one I found that actually made my makeup last. I have implemented so many of your techniques into my makeup routine. They are top notch and they work well. Love these videos.
I love mixing Nars with my chantecalle future skin and I spray a spritz of all nighter in with them before applying to my face I love it. I use the hourglass setting spray and Tarte setting spray
Loved the setting spray technique! Will try! The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder works but it does look whiter on people with a darker complexion (meaning it does change the color of your makeup and makes it look lighter). Even though I can be fair in the winter and get light/med in the summer, it doesn’t work for my complexion in the summer because of it.
I'm a new subscriber and I just LOVE your videos, Allie! 🤗 You're beautiful, and I'm learning so much from your wonderful tips and techniques! I love the NARS foundation and am going to try it with your Huda setting powder. (I use the Laura Mercier.) Something I can't do without is a bit of contour powder down the sides and at the tip of my nose. I use one by Too Faced. It just gives me a bit of a more sculpted, sassier nose, and at 63, I can use all the sass I can get! Love you, Allie! 🌻💙🌻
I hope you do a setting spray according to you video. I have two different Hydration sprays (Clinique Moisture surge spray or Monat Hydration spray) I use but I want to know which is your favorite for keeping your makeup on all day.
I've been using Ilia serum foundation lately--DH likes it. But I'm getting NARS foundation once again for MOB look. It's just above and beyond. And the mascara--OMG. I don't wear it everyday, but I've wondered about it and am sold.
I have been using the newish milani erase base primer and I have completely fallen in love with it. It works well with the foundations i have worn with it so far and with all my other favorite products I pair it with, I'm getting almost 6 hours into my work days before I touch up with my westman atelier vital pressed powder or the jouer hydrating setting powder. I'm impressed!!
What brush did you use for your foundation application? I know that brushes make a huge difference in the outcome and I didn't see that particular brush in the brushes that you listed as your favorite brushes.
So many new things (for me) that I want to try. I am a little confused about two setting sprays and the reasoning. I'm looking for a setting spray so this video is perfect timing. I'm wanting to know like so many other commenters if your makeup sponge is wet or dry when using? Allie, you should add the Pinnacle Foundation brush by Anisa Beauty to your products. A lot of people were asking about that brush. I only knew the answer because I just ordered a couple of brushes from them recently and love them!
I really recommend givenchy prism libre loose powder as a dry skin person I found that powders really dried up my skin no matter how little I used and always give me wrinkles I didn’t have especially under my eye but this powder it gave me the best sheen my skin looks alive and hydrated and it blurred out any imperfections it has THE BEST finish to it!!!
Your skin is beyond gorgeous! I don't think you even need foundation. Mind you, the Nars color is an absolute perfect match for your skin. So often I feel even youtube makeup experts are using the wrong color by a tad.
100% agree on the setting spray. I love hydrating mists, in general, because I have dry skin but setting spray is something I will never run out of on my vanity.
I’m soooo happy the Thrive mascara made the cut! I absolutely love that mascara all because of Allie! It truly doesn’t flake or budge on me at all and what I really loved about this mascara too is that my eyelashes stopped falling out as much! I tried so many before and I can honestly say that I don’t bother with any other mascara. Just gorgeous! I also love the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray! It hasn’t broke me out or made me flare up with rosacea and it does such a great job especially for my tinted moisturizer and light coverage days!. However I haven’t tried to double the setting sprays so I’m excited to try that trick! Love you Allie! Your amazing and every tip I’ve learned from you has done me wonders! Love love your videos! 😁
The 2 game changers for me are Tarte amazonian clay bb tinted moisturizer, and Lancome Idole mascara! I absolutely love them and will forever buy them!
Love the wet& wild photo focus powder. Soooooo good!! Catrice True Skin Foundation ia my all time fave, but I do enjoy my Nars foundations. Have not tried this one yet. Nars really knows how to do foundation!!
I use the CT setting spray after powder, and then Kryolan fixing spray at the end. Makeup will NOT move. Most setting sprays don't stop makeup rubbing off, Kryolan does
I thought tower 28 was a favorite…. If you had to choose between the two would it still the thrive mascara? Also could you please explain exactly what a tubing mascara is?
I feel that way about mac i just discovered the studio fix got matched to nw15 and would have never picked that color, looks more peachy than I would have thought i always end up getting my self beiges no pink or peach from😊 day one people noticed ( by people i mean woman) the common comment was your face looks soft 🤷♀️after seeing you with the nars i looed up what shade is compared in nars and it was matblanc, do you feel its peachy ? Or warm as the mac is ?
I can attest your makeup looks just as flawless in person!! (Thank you Josh Groban concert😉.. Hi Tylan!) These tips are all fantastic. I definitely need to try the Thrive mascara! Your lashes are phenomenal!!
my game changing product is the elf power grip primer! a little goes a long way, and it’s the only product to solve the issue of the area between my brows looking weird!
Allie- have you tried the Holifrog Utopia Toner? I just ordered it from Beautylish. Everything I read sounds amazing ( ESP if used w / Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief) but I can’t find a single review!!
Hi Allie, I have long lashes but they are very blonde at the tips. I also have watery eyes. Do you know if Thrive has a waterproof tubing mascara and have you tried it? Does it work well?
I love your videos. I feel so comfortable and excited to watch your videos! I was wondering if having a soft colored background if it would be easier to see the makeup (im trying to explain but doing a poor job 😂)
LOVE the NARS foundation. I wear the same shade. I have tried lightly going over with my sponge after powder and I feel like it disrupts the surface and sometimes lifts coverage. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong?? My sponge isn't too wet, I'm not using much pressure... I don't know!
Great video. I have considered the thrive mascara and haven’t bought it as I tried the Hourglass tubing, total fail. It is a literal one coat and no volume. My favourite is Chanel Le volume , and I am always on the hunt for a dupe. I need waterproof as I have longish lashes and occasionally not flash. Is thrive buildable?
as a long time viewer, it was so fun to guess what products you'd mention - i got 3/5 haha, i literally cheered when you got to product 5 and it was the stay matte powder. especially with how fast paced the makeup industry is, its reassuring to see you always go back to your staples that we're familiar with, even after years. it makes me really trust the things you recommend! i haven't stopped using the nyx bare with me concealer since you talked about it, don't think ill ever need to buy another again!
I don’t think I have ever noticed but do you curl your lashes? They are so long and lovely I can’t imagine it’s all mascara although I know that’s a good one. By the way I am pulling my NARS foundation out tonight. I do love it but when I pulled out some makeup to use for a few weeks I didn’t pull the NARS. I will correct my mistake. Great video. These are such nice products I think they are all great and most people will have at least one of them.
I need help selecting Nars foundation. I have to use two of their concealers and mix them Cannelle and afacotto 🤦♀️ wonder if I would have to do that with the foundation? That could be expensive! I’m light like you? Any help is appreciated I would like to use a foundation like a one and done. I don’t wear foundation but hate that just concealer alone is sometimes like bam you put concealer on girl 😂. HELP
*Here's a quick tip for setting your makeup according to your preferred finish:* *For matte look:* *Setting spray + Loose powder* *For dewy look:* *Loose powder + Setting spray* (and I highly recommend Elf Halo Glow Setting Powder as an alternative if you can't afford high end setting powders)
I have naturally blonde brows that are practically invisible. My game changer is the Just for Men beard and mustache dye! I put it on for three minutes and ALL OF A SUDDEN I HAVE EYEBROWS. It's made my life so much easier.
I am a brand new subscriber and I loved those tips. I can’t wait to try the double setting spray trick today. I think I’m gonna also buy the thrive mascara in that rimmell powder too
That was super useful! It’d be great to see a wedding make up tutorial/tips (maybe difference between make up for white vs ivory coloured dresses?). Always love watching you no matter the content! 💖
Allie love all your videos!! Could you do a video dedicated to skinlovin or acne fighting makeup? I’m totally obsessed with skincare makeup💗love you Allie! Thanks for your great content!
Allie, loved this video 💕💕such great tips. I’m super fair as well and can never find a good bronzer color without it looking orange or the color of death 😂 Please share which bronzer you used in this video. Please 🥰
I'd love to see a drugstore version of this!! 😁
Yes, please!!
Yeeeees I need a drugstore version! 😍
Yes. I’m a cheap b***
Yesss me too. I’m poor
hudas powder and maybelline loose fit me both have extremely similar finishes and longevity

i saw a video yesterday about different types of sprays and i used two setting sprays today and really loved it
Would love to watch that, I'm doing my own wedding makeup in november

U need to try the Joah push up mascara! Gives u everything the thrive does at a fraction of the cost.
Thanks for the tip

The CT setting spray, Huda powder, and Nars foundation are my everyday faves too!

You should do a natural lighting makeup tutorial / look!!! Thanks for sharing your expert makeup advice!

The game changer for me as an oily girl has been the Dannesa Myricks translucent balm. It really makes a huge difference.
I agree about the setting spray. I don’t use primers but I swear by setting sprays ❤️

Hi Allie, can you explain about glycerin setting sprays? What is the difference compared to the others?
YES to the setting spray step. I use Milani dewy and CT airbrush together...dont ask me why lol i just do. I spray once i have my foundation, bronzer, light setting powder on then again at the very end.

Catrice True Skin foundation and Glam Shop eyeshadows. Their pigments and mattes are the easiest to blend.
Definitely Urban Decay Stay Naked foundation is a fave of mine. I 💚 it!
You are literally the one that convinced me to get the huda beauty powder.. and I am forever grateful 💖💖 it is absolutely beautiful 😍❤❤❤
Allie I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Nars foundation for dry skin. Can you weigh in on that? Thank you. 💗
I love mixing Nars with my chantecalle future skin and I spray a spritz of all nighter in with them before applying to my face I love it. I use the hourglass setting spray and Tarte setting spray

Love “here’s what’s stood the test of time videos”- thanks!
I have super oily eyelids and the stay matte powder has been a game changer for me over primer on my lids.
I found the smashbox primer water on Amazon!!!
I agree, the Nars foundation is the best! I also love mixing it with other foundations like the Ilia, rose ic and charlotte.
What blush are you wearing? Love the soft blush look
I always do Mac fix plus then my favorite IT cosmetics setting spray afterward. Love it
I have been using the newish milani erase base primer and I have completely fallen in love with it. It works well with the foundations i have worn with it so far and with all my other favorite products I pair it with, I'm getting almost 6 hours into my work days before I touch up with my westman atelier vital pressed powder or the jouer hydrating setting powder. The Charlotte tilbery setting spray is amazing
Can you tell me if you’re using the sponge damp or dry to press in the setting spray?
100% agree on the setting spray. I love hydrating mists, in general, because I have dry skin but setting spray is something I will never run out of on my vanity.
Love this vid, thank you Allie 💕

Every time I try to press in my setting spray, I find the sponge lifts product off my face so my foundation looks patchy. What am I doing wrong?

I love this makeup look SO much, the coloring is so similar to my coloring, is it just bronzer and a pink shadow on the eyes?

When you do the final step is the sponge used damp or dry for pressing in the setting sprays?
Love the wet& wild photo focus powder. Soooooo good!! Catrice True Skin Foundation ia my all time fave, but I do enjoy my Nars foundations. Have not tried this one yet. Nars really knows how to do foundation!!
I use the CT setting spray after powder, and then Kryolan fixing spray at the end. Makeup will NOT move. Most setting sprays don't stop makeup rubbing off, Kryolan does
Thanks so much for this amazing video, it's really game changing for me :)) Just one question - do you use any kind of primer base before foundation?
Fantastic vid Allie!!

Any help is appreciated I would like to use a foundation like a one and done. I don’t wear foundation but hate that just concealer alone is sometimes like bam you put concealer on girl 😂. HELP

*For dewy look:*
*Loose powder + Setting spray*
(and I highly recommend Elf Halo Glow Setting Powder as an alternative if you can't afford high end setting powders)
What were the white brushes Allie used?
I have naturally blonde brows that are practically invisible. My game changer is the Just for Men beard and mustache dye! I put it on for three minutes and ALL OF A SUDDEN I HAVE EYEBROWS. It's made my life so much easier.
Are you using a dry sponge when pressing in the powder and setting spray?
Do you think the rimmel powder is good to lock the under eyes makeup???
I am a brand new subscriber and I loved those tips. I can’t wait to try the double setting spray trick today. I think I’m gonna also buy the thrive mascara in that rimmell powder too
Love your tips, especially the setting spray. Beautiful
Have you tried It Cosmetics setting spray?
That was super useful! It’d be great to see a wedding make up tutorial/tips (maybe difference between make up for white vs ivory coloured dresses?). Always love watching you no matter the content! 💖
What brush are you using with the Nars?
