MegaTraveller was the 2nd edition of the game produced. It was later replaced by Traveller: The New Era and then GDW went out of business. While Marc Miller has produced some stuff directly as Far Future Enterprises, the main supported product line today is Mongoose's Traveller. Megatraveller was a 2d6 game (unlike TNE or the FFE stuff) so its largely compatible with Mongoose Traveller if you wanted to steal gear, ships, or adventures. Timeline wise, MegaTraveller is set about 10 years in the future of Mongoose Traveller. So there will be some conflicts around that if you do adapt adventures.
Clarification/Correction: Marc Miller's FFE produced Traveller stuff (especially T5) use 2d6, but they use them very differently than Classic Traveller, MegaTraveller, or Mongoose Traveller. T4 is set over a thousand years before MegaTraveller. And T5 is more like a massive toolkit than an actual game.
Ardwulf... This is off topic but I will ask in case you know I just read GDW Striker rules... did people actually play Striker.... reading the rules it seems mind numbing
@@ardwulfslair Striker book 3 is Fire, Fusion & Steel but limited. this book reminded me of Pocket Empires in that it is so unique, by 1981 standards. using this book a Traveller referee could design tons of things and be Traveller compliant... in 1981... crazy
Love Traveller Tuesdays. Thank you for the overview.

They did. It was popular enough to support a line of miniatures.
