Hugs for you and Kody.❤ Cooked rice and cooked lean hamburger was what my old vet reccommended when my dog got diarreaha (sp?). Pumpkin was suggested by our new vet when our girl got sick. Vets are ridiculously expensive. I was recently charged $78 for 1 pill! Anyway, I don't know you, but I think you have done remarkably well getting out of your situation. I hope you and Kody start feeling better! Sometimes my little dog will eat a bug and then it makes her sick, so it could even be just eating a bug that made Kody sick. No way to keep a dog from doing stuff like that. That canned pumpkin always helps my little sweetie get over her problem. And my black lab I had for 14 years had sensitive stomach and frequent rounds of diarrhea and as close as I watched her she ate things she shouldn’t. You are doing great. The water from a creek is a lot better than the water coming out of your facet!! I don’t buy bottled water anymore due to all the plastic in out oceans, etc. I had a guy from the water company in my town not to drink my water at my place. I bought a pitcher that has a good filter that goes inside the picture. I couldn’t believe the difference!! The filter does last a long time!!!

For anyone to write such a comment it's just plain ignorance. Believe me I've been in your shoes and I've struggled the better part of my life working tough jobs just to keep a roof over my head. I've been down the divorce road and it is not easy. I also have always dealt with health issues on top of it. I did eventually re-marry after 15 years on my own to a good hearted man until his passing 5 years ago so once again I'm on my own. People have no right to pass judgement on someone else's life. I can see you are trying your best to keep a roof over your head, take care of your sweet dog and try to have some enjoyment in this tough life. If people don't have something good to say they should keep their comments to themselves....
Kody could even have allergy-related issues, as well. You guys are in a “new area”, and your systems take several weeks or months to adjust to those changes. Our golden retriever had yearly allergy issues, especially ear infections. Our vet told us that a dog’s ear “flap” has a lot to do with the allergies. If the dog has ears that cover the ear opening, the likelihood of ear infections is much higher than breeds like German shepherds who have ears that don’t cover the ear opening. If there’s a way you could get some ear drops, and keep some “on hand” all the time, it would help the situation. That’s what we did with our Golden, and she had infections much less because we were able to “catch” the issue quickly, and it didn’t get bad. Shaking the head and/or pawing at the ear(s) are two things that let us know she needed the ear drops. Prayers for Kody and for you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi Melissa. Sorry you're still not feeling well. There's something I thought of when you first moved back in your house with Kody. You had the inside spider bombed or sprayed for bugs, etc. The instructions always say to "Well Ventillate" after the treatment. I have asthma & am very sensitive to most chemicals. I wondered if you & Kody are having a reaction to a leftover film of the chemicals that may be on your curtains, bedding, rugs, & walls..? It might be worth the effort to take everything to the laundry mat & start fresh. I know it would be expensive, but your health & Kody's health is most important! 💕
Oh, my sister never did that here, the bug bomb. I have a bad reaction to some chemicals as well. Not the spider spray though anymore cause they make it more water based now, i noticed it didn't bother me when i sprayed my house when i first lived in it 3 years ago.

I myself went through a divorce in 2019 but imagine having to wait 14 years to get your divorce and knowing that your ex lived less than a mile from the home that they lived with you at your parents house. So stressful! In my marriage I was used mentally and emotionally, and financially! Words do hurt ! Whether they’re spoken or written ! It took me almost 6 years to get over my divorce because I grew up being taught that you don’t get divorced unless you have to. Took me 5 years after my divorce to let someone else into my life that wasn’t going to use me or take advantage of me . Healing from a divorce or relationship is hard and can really take an effect on one’s mental health! You are doing great for yourself and Cody Melissa and I am proud of your progress!😊

Some are such a type A and go, go, go! Makes me tired just watching them, ha. Some of us have ongoing medical issues, too. Some people haven't had the life experiences to know how to forge ahead boldly and need more time. And divorce is a biggie. It's a huge life-changer, and it involves a grieving process just like a death in the family. You do you, chick-a-dee. Awe poor Kody 😢 my boy had something couple weeks ago. He woke me during the night to go out potty he never in 4 yrs has done that till the other day thankfully his only lasted 24 hrs. On the subject of divorce and someone saying plenty of time to be over it. Ugggg they have No clue. I'm divorced now after 23 yrs. Marriage. Financially I'm OK but mentally and emotionally still recovering. I always worked even when pregnant . but when someone endures mental, psychological , spiritual abuse no one can set a time limit on recovery time. So sorry to hear that kody is under the weather too.😮 But doing the 24 hr fasting of food, is 1st good rule the Vet would tell u. Then like u are doing...slowly introduce some food bck into his system, aka white rice w/ T.-pumpkin, and sm amt of either boiled ckn or beef. No more than1/2c. See if he'll eat it & tolerate it. In between u can use some bone broth in his water or even make bone broth ice cubes...idea is to keep him hydrated 😀 yu're doing everything correctly...just what a vet would tell u to do. As u said, he's had this a time or two b4,and its not yur 1st time. Every dogs can have a bad day stomach wise...just like a human. So ignore the negativity and do what u feel is good for you & YOUR FURBABY!! You are doing a good job!!💖👍🤗🐕🐾

Grass. Has a lot of parasites. My dog got very sick and found out with blood.Werk parasites do make animals sick.Certain kinds of animals. Like longhorns do not make them sick, but goats' dogs cats. So, if Cody does not get better, you need to take a in and have some blood work done. 😒
Try a hirings place, that you can work at home part time. Even selling stuff, too, like a call center. That way, you can be home with kody. Still make money too.

Melissa, I hear you and I'm worried about your cough, you can make this home remedy, take it every night before going to bed, it's natural, it would be 3 ingredients: ginger, lemon and honey, you are going to boil the ginger in water, once boiled you put it in a cup, add the honey and lemon and you drink it, this will help you cleanse your system and it will get everything out and you will recover quickly, additionally putting eucalyptus oil in a diffuser will help you breathe better and all the congestion will go out. Kenzie use to have the same problem when she ate Kibble. Every couple months she would get diarrhea and vomit. One time I had to take her to ER and they put her on fluids. Her blood work came back fine 3:29 . Everytime the vet would say feed chicken and rice for a week. And she would do fine. Then I put her back on kibble and a month later she would get sick again. She has been eating fresh for two years and has not been sick since. I don't think it's the water since the same thing happened when you lived at ITH. Each dogs digestive system is different just like people. I have two senior dogs and they do fine on kibble
Exactly, and when it happened at ith i had changed his food to grain free salmon, mainly for his itching, and he did much better ever since. I also wonder if it's cause he senses my stress too, like last time. He got sick around the time i was getting kicked out of ith. Dogs do sense those things. For sure. I don't knew everything he gets in to all the time, I'm sure i miss things. Smh
@@italian_grl Absolutely they can! When Brownie had cancer I refused to cry in front of him. My bathroom was like a revolving door. You might try getting a bag of frozen chicken breast and boil and shred. Just remove about a handful of the kibble and replace with the chicken. Boiled carrots are also good. As you said canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) is good I still give Kenzie about a teaspoon with her food about twice a week. But yes dogs definitely feel our emotions!

He hasn't been sick several times. This is the second time since i moved down down south almost 4 years ago. He gets his shots regularly at the pet vet at tractor supply. He has his exam. I think honestly he senses how stressed i am every day! Dogs pick up on that, for sure. I've definitely been sick a lot more than Kody. Lol plus everything he tries eating outside, poop etc. Honestly, i know u mean well, but it's comments like these too. I have enough to worry about every day. I can't afford to take him in for nothing, just to have a vet say he needs x rays, etc, and what?? Cost me a thousand dollars on my credit card. I'm barely making it. And i do MEAN that. I'm scared month to month i won't make it. Thanks, i know u mean well....

I hope you and Kody start feeling better! Sometimes my little dog will eat a bug and then it makes her sick, so it could even be just eating a bug that made Kody sick. No way to keep a dog from doing stuff like that. That canned pumpkin always helps my little sweetie get over her problem. You are doing what you need to do to get him well, the pumpkin, chicken and rice. I’m sorry someone was so negative to you like that! No one knows what you are going through but you, and you look to me like you are working hard every day to make things better for yourself and Kody. Looking forward to the winery live! Melissa I’m 66 single and I struggle everyday. Have for years. Very few people I know aren’t esp in this economy. And my black lab I had for 14 years had sensitive stomach and frequent rounds of diarrhea and as close as I watched her she ate things she shouldn’t. You are doing great. If you're watching someone's UA-cam, either leave a nice comment, or if you don't like it, then just move on. No need to put someone down or criticize. And you are absolutely so right, words do hurt and you never know what a difficult time someone may be going through. The water from a creek is a lot better than the water coming out of your facet!! I don’t buy bottled water anymore due to all the plastic in out oceans, etc. I had a guy from the water company in my town not to drink my water at my place. I bought a pitcher that has a good filter that goes inside the picture. I couldn’t believe the difference!! The filter does last a long time!!!

Hi so sorry Kody's sick. Poor baby. Yes the Bryson City vet office is only open 3 days a week (post lockdowns) is owned by the Cherokee vet that is in Whittier, Dr Robbie is the best! Other great people there too. They've taken care of my fur babies & granddogs for over 10 years.

For anyone to write such a comment it's just plain ignorance. Believe me I've been in your shoes and I've struggled the better part of my life working tough jobs just to keep a roof over my head. I've been down the divorce road and it is not easy. I also have always dealt with health issues on top of it. I did eventually re-marry after 15 years on my own to a good hearted man until his passing 5 years ago so once again I'm on my own. People have no right to pass judgement on someone else's life. I can see you are trying your best to keep a roof over your head, take care of your sweet dog and try to have some enjoyment in this tough life. If people don't have something good to say they should keep their comments to themselves....
Kody could even have allergy-related issues, as well. You guys are in a “new area”, and your systems take several weeks or months to adjust to those changes. Our golden retriever had yearly allergy issues, especially ear infections. Our vet told us that a dog’s ear “flap” has a lot to do with the allergies. If the dog has ears that cover the ear opening, the likelihood of ear infections is much higher than breeds like German shepherds who have ears that don’t cover the ear opening. If there’s a way you could get some ear drops, and keep some “on hand” all the time, it would help the situation. That’s what we did with our Golden, and she had infections much less because we were able to “catch” the issue quickly, and it didn’t get bad. Shaking the head and/or pawing at the ear(s) are two things that let us know she needed the ear drops. Prayers for Kody and for you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi Melissa. Sorry you're still not feeling well. There's something I thought of when you first moved back in your house with Kody. You had the inside spider bombed or sprayed for bugs, etc. The instructions always say to "Well Ventillate" after the treatment. I have asthma & am very sensitive to most chemicals. I wondered if you & Kody are having a reaction to a leftover film of the chemicals that may be on your curtains, bedding, rugs, & walls..? It might be worth the effort to take everything to the laundry mat & start fresh. I know it would be expensive, but your health & Kody's health is most important! 💕
Oh, my sister never did that here, the bug bomb. I have a bad reaction to some chemicals as well. Not the spider spray though anymore cause they make it more water based now, i noticed it didn't bother me when i sprayed my house when i first lived in it 3 years ago.

I myself went through a divorce in 2019 but imagine having to wait 14 years to get your divorce and knowing that your ex lived less than a mile from the home that they lived with you at your parents house. So stressful! In my marriage I was used mentally and emotionally, and financially! Words do hurt ! Whether they’re spoken or written ! It took me almost 6 years to get over my divorce because I grew up being taught that you don’t get divorced unless you have to. Took me 5 years after my divorce to let someone else into my life that wasn’t going to use me or take advantage of me . Healing from a divorce or relationship is hard and can really take an effect on one’s mental health! You are doing great for yourself and Cody Melissa and I am proud of your progress!😊

Some are such a type A and go, go, go! Makes me tired just watching them, ha. Some of us have ongoing medical issues, too. Some people haven't had the life experiences to know how to forge ahead boldly and need more time. And divorce is a biggie. It's a huge life-changer, and it involves a grieving process just like a death in the family. You do you, chick-a-dee. You have a home, a car, a dog, are paying your bills and putting yourself out there on UA-cam! It's all a matter of perspective. Gold star in my book! Praying you and Kody both get well soon!

Awe poor Kody 😢 my boy had something couple weeks ago. He woke me during the night to go out potty he never in 4 yrs has done that till the other day thankfully his only lasted 24 hrs. On the subject of divorce and someone saying plenty of time to be over it. Ugggg they have No clue. I'm divorced now after 23 yrs. Marriage. Financially I'm OK but mentally and emotionally still recovering. I always worked even when pregnant . but when someone endures mental, psychological , spiritual abuse no one can set a time limit on recovery time. Hang in there trolls just have nothing better to do than try to inflict pain on others to try and make themselves feel superior.. sending good vibes to you n Kody..

So sorry to hear that kody is under the weather too.😮 But doing the 24 hr fasting of food, is 1st good rule the Vet would tell u. Then like u are doing...slowly introduce some food bck into his system, aka white rice w/ T.-pumpkin, and sm amt of either boiled ckn or beef. No more than1/2c. See if he'll eat it & tolerate it. In between u can use some bone broth in his water or even make bone broth ice cubes...idea is to keep him hydrated 😀 yu're doing everything correctly...just what a vet would tell u to do. As u said, he's had this a time or two b4,and its not yur 1st time. Every dogs can have a bad day stomach wise...just like a human. So ignore the negativity and do what u feel is good for you & YOUR FURBABY!! You are doing a good job!!💖👍🤗🐕🐾

Has a lot of parasites. My dog got very sick and found out with blood.Werk parasites do make animals sick.Certain kinds of animals. Like longhorns do not make them sick, but goats' dogs cats. So, if Cody does not get better, you need to take a in and have some blood work done. 😒

Kenzie use to have the same problem when she ate Kibble. Every couple months she would get diarrhea and vomit. One time I had to take her to ER and they put her on fluids. Her blood work came back fine 3:29 . Everytime the vet would say feed chicken and rice for a week. And she would do fine. Then I put her back on kibble and a month later she would get sick again. She has been eating fresh for two years and has not been sick since. I don't think it's the water since the same thing happened when you lived at ITH. Each dogs digestive system is different just like people. I have two senior dogs and they do fine on kibble
Exactly, and when it happened at ith i had changed his food to grain free salmon, mainly for his itching, and he did much better ever since. I also wonder if it's cause he senses my stress too, like last time. He got sick around the time i was getting kicked out of ith. Dogs do sense those things. For sure. I don't knew everything he gets in to all the time, I'm sure i miss things. Smh
@@italian_grl Absolutely they can! When Brownie had cancer I refused to cry in front of him. My bathroom was like a revolving door. You might try getting a bag of frozen chicken breast and boil and shred. Just remove about a handful of the kibble and replace with the chicken. Boiled carrots are also good. As you said canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) is good I still give Kenzie about a teaspoon with her food about twice a week. But yes dogs definitely feel our emotions!

He hasn't been sick several times. This is the second time since i moved down down south almost 4 years ago. He gets his shots regularly at the pet vet at tractor supply. He has his exam. I think honestly he senses how stressed i am every day! Dogs pick up on that, for sure. I've definitely been sick a lot more than Kody. Lol plus everything he tries eating outside, poop etc. Honestly, i know u mean well, but it's comments like these too. I have enough to worry about every day. I can't afford to take him in for nothing, just to have a vet say he needs x rays, etc, and what?? Cost me a thousand dollars on my credit card. I'm barely making it. And i do MEAN that. I'm scared month to month i won't make it. Thanks, i know u mean well....
