to catch squid I recommend you use the magnet, truffle worm, or weird algae you can get the weird algae bait by going to terrapin island in the advanced bait crate the weird algae has a universal luck of I believe is 200 or 300 and the best times to catch the squid is at a foggy night or when you get the aurora those are you best chances to go to snowcap cove and get squid.
