His music can tend to sound pretty dark, but I feel like his lyrics mostly describe his spiritual journey and he wants to bring attention to the spiritual aspects of the world. He is a huge artist and likely has connections with very powerful people, but I feel he's on the right side and tries to put emphasis on the spiritual, which he knows is much more important.
