This will sound odd..but you might want to try lining between the duals with large pool noodles..a friend of mine did that with a tractor he has.. just a thought.. keep up the great work!!
Good bit if rain in middle tn lately. Was a good day to burn yesterday. Last October I just about lost a half inch of my thumb. Thumb nail about 3/4 grown back. And about 10 stitches. To reattach. Most of feeling is back. I bet we both will be more careful with our thumbs hah.
We got lucky. The rain bypassed us until yesterday. The hydraulic on that grinder mite be set up like those old termites.
Had same problem with a powered wheel barrow we cut sidewall out of old lawn mower tires and just sandwiched in about three of them to keep them snugged in and tighted wheels up solves our issue, keep up the the great vids!!!!!
It rained here in Valdosta off and on all week. Last night it came down hard, a real frog strangler and trash mover. It cleaned most of the pine needles off my driveway.
A good washing rain is nice, even if it turns everything to soup.
You should have been having some rain in your area. One thing about it is keeping the equipment maintenance so it want let you down sometimes it will but not your fault thanks for the video
Great video Tim. I understand what you're saying about getting a larger stump grinder. I've got the zt1844 and it's considerably smaller than your. My wish is to get the next size up. Thanks for the great video.
No rain what so ever in Kansas. Can’t even buy a bucket of rain! Drought conditions in most parts.
No Rain the past week. I'm in Southern California!
Started raining in East Texas Wednesday morning and finally stopped about 9 AM this morning. Total of about 3.5" at my house.
Love the videos Tim. I would suggest filling the inner tires with foam to remove the issue with the stem. It’ll add some weight but completely removes any issue with the inner tire’s stem getting buggered up.
It won't be long you will have a big stump grinder I've noticed you mention something it ain't long and you got it.😅😅😅
Have your little tires filled with rubber no more flats to worry about, but the downside of that is weight may slow the machines travel speed out of holes like you mentioned just an idea I filled mine on my kubota tractor...
We got almost 3 inches Wednesday night and Thursday here in Nashville. It has been a cold damp day all day today.
It has been nasty weather and rained but not massive amounts.
We got a bunch of rain in Pontotoc.
We Appreciate You
We got 7.1inch from Mon thru Friday. 4 1/2 of that was Wed around 7pm till Thursday around 8pm. I live in Crossett that's in SE Arkansas.
We’ve got over 6” of rain here since Wednesday
Got 8 inches of snow Tuesday-Wednesday. Northern Minnesota.
Good grief, snow now would be bad.
We haven't had any rain here in West Virginia.
I think id get me some closed cell foam or something and make some fillers for in between those wheels
All day today in South Carolina
It rained all day Friday and all day Saturday and stop about 8:00 pm Saturday night
Looks like there's enough space between those front tires to put a rock kicker bar in there. Would something like this help at all?
I think that you're trying to convince yourself to place an order for a larger unit Tim! ( haha ) Note: I said this before I finished watching the video and hearing what you said about operating costs insurance etc.
Tim, you ever think about getting a stump grinder attachment for the excavator other than a bigger dedicated machine and just use the little one for the tight stuff?
im not sure how tight the 2 frames meet but if you could wedge a gasket of some kind it might could keep mud out, although the factory should make it. until then you will be the engineer.
Thanks for the show n tell on the Animal. I guess no one can accuse you of being all thumbs. Stay safe Mr Tim.
Could you put a gasket in-between the rims to prevent the mud getting in there?
That's what I was wondering about. A circle made out of conveyor belt rubber a little smaller than the tire diameter. Might work!
try putting foam pipe insulation between the dauls to fill the void so mud cant get in
What about fab'n and a piece of metal that keeps the the mud and dirt from building up like plow disc use?
👍👍
Great machines great video thanks Tim
Have you ever gotten a rock lodged between the dualies on a truck?
What about welding a threaded steel ring with a cap like you have on your skidder tires? Not sure if you have room or not, couldn't tell from the vidja.
Great stuff Tim, I know, sometimes its hard to know what the right choice is until You have it, but I do know You made My choice between the NOCO GB70 and 150 very easy, for a few Euro more, the GB150 is the Cats Meow, Thank You, Happy Easter and go easy on the eggs😁👌👍🙏🙂
No rain here next week!
Going to be wide open!
Do the battery powered power washers (Dewalt, K'archer etc) have enough cleaning effect to be worthwhile; to put a small water tank on the gooseneck and wash the grinder tires, Kubota tracks etc before you put the machines back on the trailer to leave a job? Is it worth trying a Greenteeth setup on the Bandit stump grinder, if the teeth/ pockets fit the wheel?
Green teeth wont fit on this wheel.
We got 4" at Ecru
Could you make a rubber gasket to go between the 2 rims edges?
Can that wheel spacer be shortened so that the tires are closer together to keep the dirt out?
Hoping to finally get a big one this year but the price jump is huge
What are you currently running?
@@cotontop3 vermeer's 392 and 252 pretty crazy volume I do with those little machines
@@cotontop3 next is Carlton or bandit
I've got a 2003 rayco rg 50 and like it, but I wish I could find a rg 50 super.
Live in Arkansas and its fairly dry here. Are you going to grind any stumps at Amory Miss.
Hey Tim I would like to see what 10 n a half fingers looks like lol
Howdy cotton
Still getting rain it’s been a good soaking rain
The hurricane is a belt driven grinder, you said you didn't want a belt driven grinder.
Lol maybe 9 and 7/8 lol.
A auger screw cutter type stump grinder beat all of the wheel machines way faster it hook to your excavator hydraulics or a hi flow skid steer or tractor hydraulics or pto type
That is not exactly correct and the screw has some serious negatives to them.
@@cotontop3 I concur. Most of the stumps we do are on finished lawns and we have to chase the roots. Those machines are good for clearing lots and just cutting flush
My buddy got an auger and I do most of his stumps
I’m on Coontail and we are saturated just like y’all are😂
I bet that tract they are trying to log on north end of the lake is a big mess.
@@cotontop3 Looks like that old game of “Pick up Sticks”😕
10 an a half finger's?? What kind of water are you drinking?? Might wanna watch how close you stand around those power lines. LOL 😂😂😂 I'm just picking bud.
You will love a carlton 7500 w/ the deutz diesel
That thing
