Thank you for posting! I have tried many wines from every continent and always come back to Rioja. I am a big fan of Lopez de Heredia and La Rioja Alta and every time you tasted and smiled, I knew exactly how you felt! I have a 2004 Bosconia Gran Reserva which I am going to open for Thanksgiving. Cheers.
We’ll let Renee weigh in on this, as we’re the web team, but we can confirm that a Gran Reserva with turkey and all the trimmings is AMAZING! And that comes from personal experience 🦃.
Again it’s a question for Renee, but usually yes, even though Riojas are drinkable now, for select ones, they are definitely worth laying down to bring out for a special occasion in the future.
Honestly it has to do with the wineries having a long history and many of which having large enough stock to forward those cheaper prices. but it is really amazing and unique to Rioja

Thanks, there’s a reason we did this video.. and you get it. It’s all in the feelings!
WOW that is an amazing wine and it sounds like you have had a fabulous thanksgiving!
I am such a fan. Now I have to head to the LCBO LOL.
Let us know which wines you like best.
You really must there are so many great wines there to enjoy
These seem like great hostess gifts for a holiday party.
Absolutely.
They most certainly are!
'tis the season for some tasty reds--thanks!
Renee will weigh in but yes, these are very delicious and pair with so many types of foods, they’re perfect for holiday entertaining.
You got that right
Wow great value for the time spent aging vs price.
You know what they say, time = money. So in this case Rioja wines really offer great value.
Seriously this is one of the reasons why I LOVE Rioja wines
seems like these are good wines for the holidays.
Yes for both entertaining and gifting. But don’t forget to also treat yourself while you’re shopping.
You got that right!
I checked the LCBO site, one was out of stock. I am going to try some, thx!
All are great and keep checking on availability. Thanks for watching.
Oh no, some of these are so good they sell out fast so get them ASAP and keep and eye out for them again in 2025
OK time to explore Rioja wines.
We think you’ll be suitably impressed.
So happy I have moved the needle for you
I love the stories behind the wines.
Yes they are all different and so many have some great histories, they’re very interesting.
Me too, they are always so captivating
I didn't realize there was so much history in Rioja.
It’s a great region to explore in person--the history, wines, cuisine and scenery are all really special.
There is so much more to dive into, I will have to do a whole video about it another day
I love 🍷wine
Then you're in the right place!
Same here !
Love from india (kolkata) 😊😊😊
Thank you
So would any of these go with turkey?
We’ll let Renee weigh in on this, as we’re the web team, but we can confirm that a Gran Reserva with turkey and all the trimmings is AMAZING! And that comes from personal experience 🦃.
The first 3 would be great with Turkey
Are most of these still worth laying down after buying?
Again it’s a question for Renee, but usually yes, even though Riojas are drinkable now, for select ones, they are definitely worth laying down to bring out for a special occasion in the future.
I would say that you can 100% drink the Conde Grand Reserva but the other can be either laid down or drunk now
Is Rioja a good place to visit and see wineries?
Yes but only if you like great wine, delicious food, great accommodations, friendly people and lots of things to see and do.
It is a fabulous place that you should 100% visit
How can they produce wines this old, so affordably?
Our only guess is magic, but perhaps Renee has a few more specific ideas.
Honestly it has to do with the wineries having a long history and many of which having large enough stock to forward those cheaper prices. but it is really amazing and unique to Rioja
