Robert you and your lovely wife have inspired my wife and I into the lifestyle of rv'ing . I'm gonna buy a travel trailer or convert my 2001 3500 Dodge Van into a Vanlife conversation.
I may see you on the road soon.
    Respectfully James Martin

I like it that you give your honest opinions, you don't say you like something, when disappointed. It makes when you like something more real. The whole "positive thinking" thing is causing people to "like" everything, and it's nice when someone says their real feelings about where they eat, etc. It makes your videos really great.

Hi Robert, I've lived in GA near Red Top for about 20 years. Fall colors around here really start towards the last part of October near Halloween and usually peak before mid-November. NE GA Mtns turn and peak about 2 weeks earlier.

Hello Robert, wow what an absolutely beautiful place to stay at,the lake is so lovely, um those downed trees wich are just about all leaning on another tree Robert is usually caused by bigfoot,it's their trademark all over the world even here in Australia be t ours is called a Yowie, they also make giant crosses from 2 trees, and also they bend mainly smaller trees rite over to the ground like a arch,be very careful out there, they are experts of hiding in a bush, l hope you really enjoyed your stay at your beautiful place Robert, thank you very much for sharing all your adventures, Debra from Australia 😊🍀🌺🍀🌺 x

Although it’s not a trailer camping ground, if you ever decide to visit again, go to campsite 52, it’s got great scenery, fishing, access to water, and wildlife all around! I’ve had so many memories there!

I love to trail hike and to see all the wildlife, Robert have you ever noticed when your walking in the woods that forest smell I just enjoy being outdoors walking with my Lab and my Chihuahua 🙂. 1992 when Hurricane Andrew came up from Florida into Ga we had 14 days of rain long story short my Dad and I went fishing after the hurricane went through to Lake Allatoona the water was so high that it was up over the picnic tables in some areas we did have a great day of fishing on the lake. Robert thanks for sharing your adventure of Red Top Mountain !!!! Danny

If you are ever going through Mississippi, check out Little Black Creek campground, southwest of Hattiesburg, MS. It has beautiful sites, wooded, on a lake. Out in the country away from highways, so very quiet and the stars were so bright with no nearby city lights. We went there when we evacuated from Hurricane Irma.

    • @TravelingRobert

We just started a channel of our own and we are definitely going to follow your lead on how to make a good UA-cam video! We have seen hundreds of different RV channels out there and not everyone knows how to make a good video like you do! We are new subscribers!

We were there during Oktoberfest, so that may have had a negative impact in our experience. We loved the area, just not the overly touristy aspect of the town.

Robert! I’m watching this video right now. It is so beautiful. There’s something about that area that takes my breath away. Wish we had a camper so we could stay there. Thank you for the video! Your narration is great. Do they rent kayaks and boats? How far away is the town?

    • @TravelingRobert
      @TravelingRobert  6 років тому

Thank you. They do have kayaks and boats at the marina, and I'd say it is about 10 minutes by car from Cartersville

Uncle Robert I so look forward to your videos and I want to post “thank you” for sharing your adventures.
Some where, some day I look forward to actually meeting you and sharing a meal- my treat
I enjoy some nice alone time while ⛺️ camping and some quite time.
Do you use a back up camera to aid in hitching up Camper and what brand do you use? I’ve been considering purchasing a back up system.

Going to Helen! It's changed a whole lot since the '70s, but it was still fun when I visited in '09. If you make a stop at UNICOI they have some good hiking trails, too. (www.unicoilodge.com/)

There's hardly ever a bear sighting at Red Top. However Robert should have had the bear spray on the trails at the end of the road to nowhere in Bryson City, NC near Fontana Lake. They're there fo sho!
