There are a lot of Bot comments here (cookie cutter phrasing and sentiments). Wallace is a disgrace, not for criticising The West (although still opportunistically and hipocritically), but for turning a blind eye to the same and usually even worse actions by China, Russia, etc. Supporting Wallace is akin to supporting Trump. Mick Wallace and Claire Daly both say what we all want to say, but I never cease to be surprised when people are critical of Russia. Why have I not heard either of these two or the majority of current commentators shout out loudly that the war started in 2014 with a coup and was followed by a Ukrainian/US purge or Russian speaking Ukrainians...14,000 of them slaughtered. This should NEVER be forgotten and should be spoken about in every conversation where Russia is criticised.

The EU and NATO cooperate, therefore the EU is co-responsible for the conflict which could have been avoided if NATO had wanted to.
In addition, the EU opposed the Minsk agreement instead of supporting the agreement.
In March last year there were peace negotiations in Turkey, it resulted in a peace draft which both parties accepted but which NATO opposed by sending Boris Johnson to Kiev.
You are absolutely correct...why are so many people blind to see the truth..most of my friends and family can't see the truth..I think they have been manipulated against Russia for so many years by the Bond spy films..and they now can't see what is really happening... and they have this delusion that all will be fine... I voted remain but being working class I initially was all for leaving but I soon realised we the people were 30-40 years too late, neoliberalism had won and the only people who knew 100% why they wanted Brexit were those bankers who maintain offshore non taxable accounts that new EU laws would no longer allow to be hidden but Ireland seem to be the real winners. I wonder if we will ever get a referendum to move away from the IMF or NATO.

To be fair we need weapons, because if you end up against someone who you can't reason with and he's armed and you're not, you're screwed.
And a multipolar world is much preferrable to a unipolar one which would essentially be slavery to a singular world order, without any alternative. What we need though, is to talk before using the weapons, resolve conflict through dialogue first and foremost. War should be the ultimate last resort. But in Ukraine, it was the first thing the West wanted. Even Russia wanted diplomacy more, since they agreed to the Minsk agreements (which were a scam) despite the fact that in 2014 they could have just invaded without any opposition (and they certainly regret not having done it now).

I'm a British Army veteran, and I think war and conflict in 2023 is disgusting, wrong and the profits made immoral whilst women, children and everyone else die. Yes, I totally agree with you, there are agencies around the world that most probably engineer situations that take us into wars, whether its advising certain countries not to negotiate before committing to conflict, or steering countries directly into conflicts.
The trillions wasted every single year on arms, imagine all that channelled into healthcare, space exploration, affordable and clean energy for all. The world would be a better place right now.

I can't remember the name of the agreement but it was agreed that NATO wouldn't expand which they did. Before the invasion there was also talk of Ukraine becoming a NATO member, Russia doesn't want NATO on it's border which is fair enough considering NATO loves war and sees Russia as an enemy despite the US selling Russia uranium. There are also bio labs in Ukraine which should be a concern for everyone not just Russia.
Why did the US pull out of Afghanistan so quickly, after a 20 year war against the Taliban just to hand them the country, like they knew exactly how Russia was going to respond. I would argue that the US military is the biggest terrorist organisation in the world, akin to Scotland becoming a member of Isis, would you want that on your border?
