Hi Liz, so glad to hear your chirp up. I was thinking about asking you for a list of plants that are NOT cold tolerant, you just mentioned Aeoniums, you have mentioned a few in previous videos, if I remember sedum clavatum is not cold tolerant, am I right? I’m putting my succulents in one of the greenhouses and I want to try to let them go to 32F (0C) whenever the temps drop …. Thanks again for all your videos, I started watching some older ones and to my surprise they already have a thumbs up so I have been watching you for over 2 years and always enjoying them …. Best wishes …. Tere from Virginia USA
Thank you for watching, Tere. You've been watching my videos for a while and have commented in a few of them. ☺️Clavatum, Crassula Ovata, Most Aeonium and Frilly Echeverias, are frost hardy to -2°C | 28.4°F. Any colder, they will be badly scarred or die. Greenhouse is ideal for growing Aeonium and frilly echeverias. Have a lovely day!🥰
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK thanks a lot, so the rest like sedums, graptoverias, etc should resist the cold, right?. Since all of them will be in a greenhouse I’m planning to just let them drop to 32F then heater should kick in when temp drops below that…Tere
Thank you Liz!! Your plants are getting tip top shape..looks so beautiful!!!🌟
Thanks so much! 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great weekend!🥰
Thank you once again for all of the lessons and beautiful plants!!
Thank you once again also for watching and commenting. I hope you'll have some use for the info in my videos. Have a wonderful day!🥰
I'm just overwhelmed by the beauty in your collection. How you manage is beyond my comprehension. 😊
Thanks for watching, Cynthia. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great day!🥰
Hi Lizk , your succulents are all beautiful and gorgeous because as I’ve seen they are all rare
Not all rare. Some of the most beautiful ones I have are now common here in Australia. The rare ones I bought last year(for a lot more money), I wish I haven't bought. Because now, they are cheap and common here and also much bigger than the ones I have growing.😔 Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day!🥰
I have a confession. I skipped back and watched your cucaracha battle at least 10 times. Thank you for attacking that bugger like he was going to eat you! I'm still laughing! 😂😂😂 Thank you for being YOU, Liz! Love you! ❤❤❤❤
I got him!!! 😁Spiders I let go every now and then but Cucaracha have no right in my plants. Thanks for watching, Suki and have a great day.🥰
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK I let spiders live too! Hope they eat all the nasties! Thank you!
I hope you dont get any more frost. Your babies already look so happy. Hugs 🤗 💚💚💚
Weather forecaster said....Don't believe everything you see here.😂 So, no choice but to check forecast everyday. Thank you so much for your generosity, Lea. I truly appreciate it. Take care and enjoy the rest of the week! 🤗😘🥰
Hello Liz! What a lovely way to end my day 😁😊🥰
I'm glad. Thanks for watching, Tina. 🥰
The log pot wth the agavoides looked so beautiful and there was one variegated beautiful echeveria right next to where u placed the log pot. The moondy pot also looks soo beautiful!! All r coming in to their own. Lovely.
That's the Echeveria Chihuahuaensis variegated next to the log pot. Thanks for watching Swati and have a wonderful Evening. 🥰

You are so welcome, Mary. Thank you for watching. Hope you're having better weather than we do. Have a great day!🥰
Love you sharing your garden with us dear Liz ❤
I do the same in my garden, jump from one thing and get distracted to another.
Glad youve still got a Romeo baby. I bit the bullet and bought my first one 6 months ago, from Norah Garden89 after your recommendation. He’s still alive and beautiful ❤️
I neglected the last variegated Romeo I got from her...but it's still alive.☺️ Thanks for watching, Chris and have a fantastic weekend!🥰
Beautiful succulent plants
Thanks for watching, Edward. I'm glad you're enjoying them. Have a great weekend!🥰
My other half always knows when im on the phone to my mum because we say goodbye around 10 times each lol. Its a habbit i cant get out of, i think its because i feel tude to put the phone down on her xxx hope your doing the best you can ❤
Apparently, I'm doing much better than some people expected, since it's ONLY been.... 😉 I'm still standing.☺️ Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day!🥰
That baby ROMEO was so cute - are they difficult to grow? Sending love & light ❤
At 9:54 of the video, the red plant on the left is a Romeo that is 7 years old. Planted in my Master succulent soil mix and potted in a terracotta pot, that plant has lived in that pot all these years with very little care. Can be challenging to grow from leaves but grows a lot of babies when beheaded/headchop for propagation.
If all is done right, the soil mix, pot used, watering(water less but heavy) & location, it's quite and easy low maintenance plant.☺️ Thanks for watching and have a great week!🥰
Arrrh yes that’s a beauty - thanks for all the propagation tips 👍🏻 & I need to go watch your ‘master soil mix video’ again…
I’ve bought some Echeveria seeds & will be trying for the 1st time to grow them…
I need to get braver with ‘beheading’ it still scares me 😆 sending you succulent love 🌵 🥰 xx
Your voice got so happy when you talked to the birds ☺️ I know you just lost dear Pedro, but have you considered getting a bird??
NOPE!!!!. Big resounding, NO!!! 😁I love Pedro dearly and will therefore never replace him. I want him to be the only bird in my life. Have a great day!🥰
I'm very happy when you're happy, Ms. Liz, I can say that I can relate to your loss. We lost our dad, I. only 4 days no warm-ups that hey his going. nothing like that 4 days, that's it very short notice then Dec. 25th in the morning, we lost our bird 🐦 Fred, then Dec. 31st, we lost our turtle 🐢 name, Charlie, and it hurt losing them their family to us and ❤❤❤ them so much.
I heard we have had a new record coldest night in September, I was also almost not checking the weather any more, and happened to take a look on Sunday, so surprised to see going to have -5 and frosty that night!
Tonight is going to be cold too, stay warm, Liz❤
The cold I can put up with, but the wind..... It's crazy weather we've been having the last couple of years. I'm just sick of it! I almost feel like packing up and going underground opal mining instead.😂 Have a great day!🥰

Thanks for another very interesting video. I love all those colours.
Glad you like them, Kathy. Thanks for watching. Have a great day!🥰
😊❤
Love your videos Liz! Can you show update of opal necklaces ❤
Sure thing. Watch out for it in the next few videos. Thanks for watching and have a great day!🥰
😊😊🙏🙏
Do you have an echeveria cante ? Would love to see it if you do. Or any other monstrous one you might have. Beautiful plants as always ☺️
I used to have a few Cante but they are hard work in my garden. They don't like the frost. So I have to keep bringing them in and out. Finally I gave up on growing them. They are easy to grow provided you don't get frost. They love the sun and water with the right soil mix of course. Thanks for watching and have a fantastic day!🥰
Hi Liz i love your garden, and i just started to grow succulent too.. Btw i live in Indonesia.. And its really hot here.. I need your assistance in growing their root.. What should i do to grow them fast?
Thanks dear
Not all succulent are the same. Different succulent species have different growing time. For example, Aeonium doesn't like to grow roots when it's too hot. Best to grow them from cuttings in spring or autumn. For Indonesia, you only have wet and dry season, so it's best to grow succulents according to temperature. 10 to 20°C | 50 to 68°F is the best temperature to grow most succulents.
Echeveria Agavoides for example likes to grow when it's cooler and not too much humidity. At the moment, not advisable for you to grow them, unless you keep the half pot soil really dry. Other lower half of soil in pot, get it wet to encourage the roots to form and reach for the water. Also best kept in bright indirect sunlight.
Frilly or thin leaf Echeveria likes to grow when it's hot and humid. Other succulents will also have specific requirements. This is the reason I have my video format this way, so that specific plant can be highlighted and shown it's growing needs. Another example, Cotyledon is also dormant at the moment for your area.
I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.🥰
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK ah thanks, that explain why my agavoides dont grow root till now 😅 thanks dear
Liz, I’m growing Echeverias seeds for the 1st time- any advice? Sending love ❤️
Thank you so much for the gift, Noodle.😊Really appreciate it. The first time I grew succulents from seeds, I made a video and luckily was a success. Please see video playlist link below.
In my humble opinion, growing from seeds should start with...
1. A good soil mix. I used a commercially available seed starter mix.
2. Heat and moisture. I placed them in a grow tent with a grow light and planted in a transparent plastic container to maintain moisture and temperature (25°C | 77°F).
3. Once seeds start to sprout (varies depending on the species), I regularly open (daily) the small food container to let the surface dry up a bit (2 hours minimum for air circulation ) to prevent fungus growth.
4. Then water from the bottom to maintain moisture (moist not wet).
5. Put the lid back on before I go to bed to maintain moisture.
6. Once they reach the 4 leaf mark, I don't put the lid on anymore and can be ready for transplant but I prefer to leave them a bit longer for better success.
Wishing you all the VERY BEST! Happy Growing!!!🥰

Are your Aeonium pots in morning sun area?
At the moment(spring), most of them get full sun all day. But once the temperature get's to over 30°C, I will put them in the 50% shade cloth area. Thanks for watching and have a lovely evening. 🥰
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Thank you Liz, you too.
