A Red-tailed Hawk pair has been nesting above Cornell University’s athletic fields since 2012. They have made use of two different light towers for their nest sites. In 2012, 2015, and 2018-2023 they used a tower near Fernow Hall, and in 2013, 2014, and 2016, they used the tower nearest Weill Hall. We installed cameras at both of these sites to get a better look at the intimate behavior of these well-known birds as they raise their young amid the bustle of a busy campus.

Aww, little hawk resting its head on sibling's egg...🤎🖤🤍
I love this family❣️❣️❣️❣️ What a full pantry…nice job Arthur🫶🫶
Such a pleasure to watch. Thank you Cornell. I have been watching for years. 💙
Amazing how much they’ve grown in 2 weeks when you see them in relation to the unhatched eggs.
Good looking , great parents. This is my 3-4th year to look at them and I always find their kids are so well behaved. (Maybe because they are just different from falcons? )_. Those kids although cute, but they are more like a wild bunch compare to the hawk babies!😁😁These hawks seem to be so calm most of the time. Big red mama is so good, and Arthur is so handsome. And a great provider. (In a way I feel sorry for the chipmunks ). Arthur think he is feeding an army LOL!
They are getting a lot of Chipmunk to eat❤
I love this family. They are great parents ❤
She's saying, that's OK, I got this!😊
🦜 too cute and no rush to eat
Looks like they are getting a lot of food!! Chipmunks, a bird, maybe a mouse?
why won't the other two eggs hatch? just too late? I've been watching for years and never had the experience where they didn't hatch.
Babies are bird-shaped now! Curious that no-one eats or throws away the dead eggs in the usual manner of wildlife recouping energy losses, but then I suppose they don't look like food and still look a little like 'baby' to a raptor brain.
❤❤❤
So- is that Chip or Dale??
I wonder if the food was Frank “Ponch” or Jon Baker.
I waited almost until the video was over just to see if the other baby would get to eat. Then, he was fed a huge amount that didn't seem to wanna go down too easy. A cute little choke/upchuck only to still watch his siblings show it how it's done.🫶🏽 Awesome footage.
Will the other two eggs hatch?
Sadly no.
I was wondering the same thing! Ok, thx
