I love Mayu vocals, she is unique like Asami. Nemophila is my 4th favourite group after Lovebites, Band-Maid and Scandal. Watched their first concert as live stream, was amazing! Actually I watched all 4 bands live streams and all were amazing. Saki the guitarist from Mary's Blood is such a great musician and such a cutie (her Instagram posts are for sure). Nemophila is actually like a super group with members from several groups. And yes, almost everyone has that reaction on Mayu "Bleh" :D
I already knew Saki (Mary's blood - guitar/dark hairs), Hazuki (Disqualia and Li-sa-X band - guitar/blond) and Tamu (drums - too many projects to list). So Mayu (vocals - ex-Lipstick) was the real surprise for me! She's the real deal: presence, versatility, personality, all in one. And let's not forget the adorable Haraguchi-san at bass. You have to check Raitei next - and maybe some of the covers they're releasing for fun, from Maiden to Kiss.
Third time Raitei was requested so far! Tied with Oiran for their heaviest. Btw Oiran basically means courtesan I think? Raitei means Thunder. As a new band they only have 5 originals out yet. Monster written by Saki. One escapes me now. But the surprisingly good radio friendly “Life”, apparently written for the drummer’s infant, has a cool vid where they got all emotional discussing the baby (onstage, livestream), then did Life, also backstage footage, it was Hazuki’s bday. Then the covers: two of band “princess princess” (popish, w orig drummer, to fill time while baby was born), bunch of band ShowYa(80srick/hairmetal) w orig singer &/or drummer, then some RATM covers of all things. Hopefully they’ll keep the heavy stuff coming now that Tamu is in full shape on the drums. Btw, it’s hard to tell, but here in Oiran video, Tamu has to be huge under that hoodie. She was preggers when they started/formed, and this came out right around when baby was born!
yes, Mayu's voice really struck my heart then Orian become one of my fav. I already knew Saki and Hazuki before, and now i subscribed to Tamu's youtube too XD too bad, their live versions are hardly exist
I wouldn't say that Mayu is an ex-member of Lipstick. Lipstick are one of those Japanese bands that do not have many members, with them it's just the Guitarist and Bassist, then there are other people that perform with them, they are sort of hired to do albums and live shows, a bit like Fate Gear are doing with Nana. That way it keeps down costs.
Oh please absolutely do their song "Raitei", too! Or even anything else for that matter! When I first heard this ("Oiran" was the first thing I saw by them as well), the music started and I was like "uh, alright, this sounds promising. Bit more heavy than the 'typical' J-rock band, cool." Then Mayu came in with the scream and I was like "YUP! SOLD!"
Las mejores sucesoras de SHOW-YA, 1banda femenina de heavy metal japonés y madrinas entre otras de Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin, Scandal, etc (Fairy, Look at Me, Genkai Lovers, One Way Heart, Gambling, Kurenai, Battle Express, Shooting Star, etc)
Ok, now no excuses for not checking out Mary's Blood. "Marionette" ua-cam.com/video/MLM2unV0kwU/v-deo.html Saki murders her guitar without breaking any of her pretty nails.
Next song from Nemophila has to be Raitei. Next mind destroying Japanese group should be Broken By The Scream, they're awesome and so underrated. Keep rocking dude 🤘🤘🤘
Here''s another heavy Japanese Rock band that you might like. However, they are not females but I think you will like the rifts on these. Ningen Isu "Heartless Scat" ua-cam.com/video/CbI79e5iZKs/v-deo.html
after watch band maid,lovebites,nemophila..you should check out their mother of rock..SHOW-YA ua-cam.com/video/V0XmIj2hX3s/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/HRZuCJw4JDc/v-deo.html (start @ 3.37) then will know the history of naon no yaon festival and will know why all girls japan band are in different level...
So if you haven’t seen Mary’s Blood, they deserve to be checked first. Eleven years I think, Saki (darker haired guitarist) for around half of that, she’s the Star now, but Eye’s vocals are unique from these jfemetal bands. Like Nemophila, they have a wide variety of styles, for me it’s hit n miss, but undisputed talent. I’d start you with Marionette live at Blitz. Stats out yelling for more more more, now the women, men, more more... and the chorus English line is “I wanna cry. This is my life”, (being someone’s) Marionette ua-cam.com/video/zRkPvijamy8/v-deo.html Saki also has new international band Amahiru, her partnership with FredericLClrqe (Dragonforce, Kreator), maybe the song Hours. Setup to be the first guitar hero to come out of japan (Loudness, XJapan, BandMaid, & many more, but, besides Kanami, who can you name? Saki, you know, with the Dragonforce guy...), plus two more off/on side projects Whew Other guitarist Hazuki just appeared 5yrs ago, but is now in projects with Three of the best: Narumi (Disqualia, Rami, LisaX, & every band ...), still with the bow calked LisaX Band, and of course here with Saki. As LisaX Band there are only two videos; one with Billy Sheehan (not shown) on bass is crazy hard to play(count. Prog written by Narumi, tho she’s not in band)). The other is very “accessible” and was written by Hazuki. Member Rina has an amazing voice, but wrote these soulfully, which really changes the underlying metal... me love. The others are great. I’d single out Tamu Murata as the most talented, &/or most versatile. Solo stuff, with ladybeard, w Daisuke Kurosawa, Sorami, EXiNA... mostly drums, but piano/keyboards, xylophone, singer, composer, saxophone?, bass, you get the idea Keep em coming ! 🤯😝🤯😝🤯😎
Wonder if there's an cork board somehwere showing the connections of all the Japanese musicians, all the bands over all the years for all these great musicians. Bands, side projects, casual membership, in and out of different groups. Feels like you'd need a lot of colored string and push pins and a safe place so others wouldn't give you funny looks.
@@glenkelley6799 ya, I’m not comfortable, being new to being fanboy. I get good mileage out of “metal archives”, and a few others that are high in google lists. And I started with LisaX, Marty Friedman (Kiyoshi, Takayoshi Ohmura), and Fuki, then Destrose by itself just blows open the female scene. I just saw the list for LoveVeder(sp?). 2members. About 19 others that had come thru I only knew 2 or three. Then I confirmed my vague memory, Yashiro worked with them, yet she wasn’t even listed?! So no one source. Maybe we should make that board... in the basement of course 😝😉💃🏻🎸🤘
@@timgove5337 Build a false wall first so it stays hidden, wouldn't want your friends to see that :D. On a serious note, I wonder if all this cross pollination is what makes the music seem fresh and always changing.
@@glenkelley6799 maybe. Just the sign of a healthy scene. We also only see the relative successes, they’re all pros, but if a band doesn’t meet its goals, on to the next. Not many garage bands get signed 😉
@@timgove5337 Agree, which makes Band-Maid all the more remarkable as each member had only tried a couple of different avenues before Miku roped them all in.
Another breath of fresh air from Japan, these ladies rock hard!
these girls made The Trooper cover and it's awesome
That BLEGH though 🎤💥
This band will be massive, I love them!
Nice! Please react more nemophila!

Welcome to the wonderful world of J-Metal addiction.
The Misfits! Miyu’s vocal melodies are fantastic and she sings with the power of Danzig. That’s what makes Oiran such a great song.
"Sorai" is out now. Another great song from the EP. You will like this one as well.

I'm grateful for the reaserch you've made about the band. Your video is more important, than I thought.
El clásico de Nemophila 🔥 espectacular banda!
You did your research. But the frontlady isn't from Mary's Blood-- that's Saki, one of the two guitarists (audience right). She's also the bandleader.
The lead singer is from lipstick
