The 450X petcock will fit, it has the reserve. Just be certain to get all the parts that comprise the X's unit. You'll have to have the outlet that mounts to the bottom of the tank, both the fuel lines that run over to the frame-mounted fuel valve assembly, and the valve assembly itself. Or just buy a complete 450x tank online.

Bryce Piper the stupid thing is that there is usually a fuel reserve to get you a little ways. He could have made it with the fuel reserve
if you knew anything about Dirtbikes, specifically, motocross bikes, they dont have reserves for the fact they are for racing and it adds extra weight having a reserve. maybe some trail bikes do, but I used to race Yamahas, 250Fs and 450Fs, and they most certainly dont come with reserves

I thought it was mainly supercross that had them back when I had my old RT100 it has one and all the other people I rode with that had 250's and 900's had them unless supercross is a class of dirt bike because for me supercross is just dirt bikes

Chris Alfonso I have this one friend who pushed his R1 in Florida. Except I think a few people stopped. A lot of SouthFloridians are very self centered and it surprised me when he said people offered help.

Nice seeing the guy show up to help. I had my 900RR start starving for fuel on a back road once. Reached to switch it to reserve and discovered it was already switched to reserve. Like you, a bunch of people stopped to offer help as I pushed the bike down the road. Fortunately, a friend brought me gas by using a one liter soda bottle he found in the gas station's trash as the container. Contrary to what the media says, 95+% of people are good and help each other. Cool bike you have. For awhile I was looking at one of those supermoto types to add to my bike collection but I already have too many. Sadness :(

Is your gas tank an upside-down U-Shape like is is on DRZs? I once accidentally burned through my reserve (petcock was set wrong ) after the bowl ran dry, I tried to lean the bike on the petcock side at least 45deg... gas flowed to the other side of the tank... bowl filled up, was able to get to a gas station 2 miles away. I call it the "DRZ reserve reserve".
Long story short: If you run out of gas on a DRZ, just lean the bike to the left (over the petcock) as far as you can... you'll get a couple miles of fuel.
Does the CRF have a tank shape like that?

Most bikes with backbone style frame do something like that, reserve or not. There's always some gas on the other side that, with some shaking, you can get to flow to the other side with the petcock. However, that's also where most of the junk floating around is.

I had the same thing happen. I had to push my bike a good ways a few weeks ago when it ran out of fuel. At least 6-7 people on bikes just rode by without even seeing what's up. I didn't really expect someone to stop but It would of been nice lol

ive ran out of gas in the middle of bicycle trails on my kx450, right after a fresh rain; in full gear. had to push it 3 miles in 2 foot wide trails.

If you look at your on and off on your gas gauge there is res and switch it to that it will give you between 5 and 20 minutes of riding

Motonosity top speed on my 450 i hit was 93 i have a speedometer on it, hwy gears, full exhaust and built motor i weigh 140. is there a way i can make it hit 100mph or more?

Muscle needs oxygen. Pushing a bike makes your muscles work hard, a light bike will feel heavy after a while. You will breathe heavy to feed oxygen to those muscles. Having a good physique also does not mean you have good cardio, I'm not saying he does not have good cardio, I'm saying good physique does not always equal good cardio.

I run out of gas on my BMW G450X every now and then because it doesn't have a fuel gauge. After the second time I had to push it to the next gas station I started keeping a small gas canister in my backpack.

You could also use an app that tracks the distance you've gone, then determine how much gas you have left based on the average driving range of the bike.
