Boats move around the harbour and we see fishermen working on the quay. Scenic shots of a nice sunny day at the harbour.
We follow some of the fishing boats as it make their way out to sea. L/Ss of the boats at sea. The men arrange their rope into coils on the quayside. Camera pans across boats in the harbour. C/U of the prow of a fishing boat.
Film ends with shots of the catch - lots of crabs, shrimps, prawns and other seafood.

My father was born in Arbroath and eventually ran a marine engineering company with his father . Most of those fishing boats had Gardner or Kelvin power units . Beccles coilers , Sutherland winches etc . Hard working skippers and crew who deserved every penny . All knackered with the EU .

Shame on the system that got rid of these boats. Eating fish from these boats is the same as drinking wine from a fine oak barrel.

is that the shearwater dredger in grey.would have been near new then.was meant to be scrapped 2012 but still working in 2018
