  • I’ve been Cloth Diapering for 4 years now and have gone through lots of brands and styles. My current cloth diaper stash has been pretty much the same for the past year. I’ve dropped the need to try all the diapers and have just settled in with using what works for us. I have reviews of most of the diapers in my stash so make sure you check them out if you’re interested!

      Ha thanks! You’re the best. So glad my comments are working! They are disabled on all my videos but I went in and manually turn them on for this video. Seems to have done the trick!

    • @JaysNest

      I’ve feared that would happen to my channel! Some people have repealed the comment section thing and had their comments working again... but then, other people had their comment sections permanently taken away after the repeal.
      Taking away comments doesn’t get rid of the child molestors 🙄 it only blocks us from seeing who they are. I hope this isn’t UA-cam’s long term solution. They should use their metadata to get the IPs of these predators, not make the content creators pay the consequences 🤭

      Awe I’ve missed chatting with you! With my first I hated AIOs bc she was a super soaker and wet through all AIOs. With my second they works amazingly and made diapering so easy.

      @@5MinuteCloth Yes, I agree AIO 's are so easy to use and honestly my hubby loooves them since he is always so confused what is an insert and what is a booster even after 4 years of cloth diapering all together lmao 🤣 😆. I miss chatting with you too!!!! Stay safe, my friend ❤ 🙏!!!!

    Nice stash!
    We use a ton of button’s super covers. My second was 23/24 pounds by 5-6 months so there wasn’t much that fit him well. Then weirdly enough Flip covers also fit him really well but are trimmer than the buttons.
    With my first I was completely against covers and prefolds. However, I started to really love them with my second. I find them easy to wash and easier to put together than pockets. I found they just worked so much better than AIO for baby boy. Then after 2 years of stuffing pocket diapers I began to hate cloth.
    So when my son went into OS diapers I found covers worked well. I just lay the covers and prefolds in a pile, then tri fold them into the cover when I’m changing. So I don’t spend over an hour stuffing anymore. I can barely keep up with regular laundry washing and folding lol.

      Thanks!! Yeah can’t beat the ease of Covers and prefolds! I like having a few pockets in my stash but no way could I stuff pockets for an entire stash! Glad you found what works for you and your family! That really is the key to cloth diapering. Doesn’t have to be perfect, just has to work!

    Girl they are gorgeous!!! Ive always wanted to try cloth nappies, but I just think it would be so much trouble.. 🙈

      Thanks!! Cloth diapering comes with a learning curve but once you’ve been doing it for a while it just becomes just part of life. Getting started and trouble shooting as needed is the only tricky part.

      It's soooooo worth it to even give it a try
      Some just do part time cloth *using cloth when at home but not out and about or bed time*
      Alot cloth full time and I've herd lots and lots of mom's and dad's who just love it.

    For my thirsties wet backs I fold them in half width wise and then again and the roll them and snap the strap around it. Just like the way the ship them. It makes them very small

      That’s a good idea! I’ll have to try that next time.

    Love your stash 😍 have you tried the blueberry size medium aios? I want to try those because we are starting to outpee the os so we’re having to add extra absorbency but I wonder if the mediums have more absorbency 🤔

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому

      I haven’t tried the sized ones but my guess is that they are the same for absorbency. Have you tried adding a booster.

    • @HaleysHomestead
      @HaleysHomestead 5 років тому +1

      Yeah we do boosters right now, I’m just curious if the other ones would hold more.

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому

      You could try calling or emailing their customer service or ask on a Facebook group. My gut says they are similar in absorbency but I could be wrong!

    Oh no! The diaper rite PUL went bad after a year? I’m screwed because that’s our overnight solution 😭

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  4 роки тому

      I had a bunch of diapers go bad around the same time so I’m wondering if it was more an error on my part. Maybe too hot of water or putting them in the dryer too many times. I know lots of people who have had them for years with no issue. They are a great company so if they do go bad I’d just reach our and see what support they have. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about it. If they are working for you keep with it! They were awesome diapers and I don’t regret buying them even though they went bad on me.

    How do you keep your diapers so spotless???? Most of my diapers have stains! I tried a few stain removing products but they didn't really work. Can you please share your secret?

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому +2

      A good diaper sprayer is key for me. I spray poopy diapers immediately after I take it off and spray it until it’s pretty much stain free. Washing every 2-3 days (max) with a solid wash routine helps too.

    • @AnaPerez-gm8qk
      @AnaPerez-gm8qk 5 років тому +2

      I wash once a week and I don’t always spray poopy diapers immediately. Maybe it’s the magic of soft water and a solid wash routine. My diapers are stain free.

    • @mosenka55

      @@5MinuteCloth I have the same routine but i still have stains. What water softener do you use? Also, what detergent do you use? Thanks!

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому

      Goes so show there I just no right way to do things! I have hard water and use rain drops water softener and tide. I’m wondering if what the baby eats and just how their bm is can make a difference.

    Hi! the Geffen inserts that you stuff into your blueberry's are they the plus size or smaller ? thanks

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому +1

      They are the smaller size. They are white edge called “Quick absorbers”.

    I have a random question. When you wash your geffen baby inserts, do you wash them separately than your cloth diapers? I heard somewhere that hemp needs to be washed separately, but maybe that's just for prepping them? I don't know. Sorry! I'm new to cloth diapering and I bought some geffen baby inserts and realize I don't really know how to wash/prep them.

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому

      No need to be sorry! I was so confused about prepping and washing when I first started. Some say you should prep hemp separately since the natural oils could potentially get on other fabrics but I always just prepped them with everything else and never saw issues. No need to separate especially once prepped. Key to success is to keep it simple!

    What’s your opinion on the gmd prefold vs osocozy prefolds? Besides the price, is there a difference in absorbency?

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  5 років тому +1

      I had both the newborn gmd and the infant better fit osocozy and they were very similar. No notable differences in quality or absorbency. The are both equally great! If you wait for a sale on the gmd they can end up being less than the osocozy. Gmd has slightly better resale as well.

    Question: how do you get a tight fit with non stretchy flats I'm new to cloth and I love flats but I'm struggling with baggieness

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  2 роки тому

      Sorry I’m so late to respond but incase someone else is wondering, usually just practice helps. Also, If you’re using pul cover it doesn’t really have to be tight as long as there is enough fabric in the wet zone.

    How to dry diapers in the dryers?

    • @5MinuteCloth
      @5MinuteCloth  4 роки тому

      I just put everything except covers onto the dryer on low. My dryer runs pretty hot so they get dry on 1 cycle. If they aren’t getting dry on low you can try medium.

    Are the diy bamboo stretchy flats absorbent? :)

      Yup! More absorbent than a standard Birdseye flat but aren’t as absorbent and lux feeling as my sweet iris flats.
