Me at 6'6" 300lbs: " Damn this is a comfortable chair.
So glad you posted this comment dude. I'm 5'8 and 235 lbs and was worried about it. Hasn't arrived yet but can't wait
@@-Ncrypt some people are saying at 220 6'1 it doesnt fit them, remember everyone has a different bone structure dude. I think your weight shouldn't matter since ur 5'8 though.
So it works if your 300 pounds. Cause mine is slightly wobbly. I mean it’s wobbling By a centometer. I’m just worried I’m gonna break it
@@meytah8382 lol. I’m not 300 pounds. I’m about 250. My last chair broke after about 13 months. I’m just paranoid I guess
Im 6’3 and 240lbs. I had back surgery, and bought this chair, will update in 2 weeks.
UPDATE: THIS CHAIR IS AMAZING!!! HEADREST IS PERFECT, LUMBAR SUPPORT MAKES MY BACK FEEL SOOOO GOOD, love reclining it and at 240lbs id say it fits perfect for any size/weight! Its a must get! Price is amazing for the chair. LOL obvs not a 400$ chair but this chair is far from entry level. Definitely good. The cushion and everything feel perfect! I put the pillow strap around the top of the chair instead of in the middle with the holes to fit my neck perfect. but nevertheless it still handles the weight and feels comfortable
PS: for a gamming chair and low budget chair still feels great! If you have a higher budget shoot for a MAVIX chair

I love this chair but I’m always afraid to lean back since with my old office chair if you leaned back just a little too much you’d fall like a brick, gotta get used to it😂
One time i was at my friends place and he let me sit on his gaming chair and i leaned back and fell
Bro you’re the man absolutely with your in depth review to the point of even doing some maths to figure out the people it’s best for weight wise and height bad ass bro ty
I just got this chair and I love it it's a huge upgrade from what I used to have it feels premium to me it doesn't feel like a budget chair
I'm 6' 285lbs and i like the chair very much. Comfortable. supportive and very sturdy...plus the adjustments are great.
Thank you. I know you put this video out a few years back but for me it was perfect timing. I found this chair (used but in excellent shape) on Mecari for $60 USD and your video encoredged me to go ahead and buy it. So thanks again for the review, and I hope your having a great day!
Wow, thank you for this in-depth and valuable review, you really pointed out all the important factors of this chair and will help me decide if I want to purchase it.
Great review! The details are really helpful.
Great review! Thanks for sharing. Really helped me!
I've had mine for 2 years and its held up well with 3 teenagers and a cat. I'm thinking about getting one of their gaming recliners now
Really good in depth review! Subscribed
Wow, incredible review. You do fantastic work! ☺️
This review comes in clutch for me ngl.
My cousin had this chair at his house & I remember I sat on it then k.o for about 2 hours LOL
Thanks for the review, I’m looking for a new chair and I had to check this one out
Did you end up buying it ? Or did you get another chair ? Help I’m trying to get one for my bf
i just bough this. my old chair is an office chair I've had for 14 years. its looking pretty sad at this point
Bought this chair for $90 on sale and I absolutely love it. It's not the greatest chair in the world but for the price it's worth it. I use it for work, gaming, or just lounging around watching TV. Been using it since May 2021!
You're gonna feel like shit in a couple of months. I have this garbage chair, kills your shoulders, butt, and back.
Thanks, very good review. 🔥❗️
Thanks for the review, im getting it next week
Thanks for putting together this detailed review.
i bought one of these last week and im 6'3 and he definitely telling the truth i can tell im just a biittt too big for this chair but i still find it really comfortable just a few things that bother me

What a great review! I really like the in depth analysis here!
Good review. Straight to the point. 👍🏾
A few things to note (I own the GT099 myself) if you're a first time game chair buyer. These use bucket seat designs (standard for most gaming chairs) so you're going to have a more restrictive seat space. This could pose issues for people with lower back problems (probably shouldn't be looking at gaming chairs anyway). The base and wheels are made of plastic. Would have been better if its was steel based with a plastic overlay but you get what you pay for. It's not really meant for long duration sitting. Also not recommend to sit with jeans on as the fabric is fairly cheap and can tear with prolonged sitting. I got the chair on sale when it was $119 for the color I wanted and it's been fine for its price so would still recommend if you want a budget gaming chair.
Would you recommend getting an office chair if you have back problems? Need a new chair at my desk and not sure what to get
@@stargazerl2958 Honestly, it depends. For me, my gaming chair is insanely comfortable and great for my back pain. But, there are a lot more to it.
- Back pain can come from a lot of things. A good mattress is also just as important.
- It's hard to find a good "gaming chair" for a shorter person. You can check UA-cam vids and reviews, spec sheets; see if they go low enough for you. For example, my gf's feet don't reach the floor on most chairs, but you can purchase feet stands that will help achieve a better ergonomic position.
- Office chairs - up to like mid-range are not really meant for continuous PC use. They usually let you slack on your position and they kinda focus on being a good office chair too (ie.: do paper work and such). When you hear youtubers and sites say "gaming chairs are a meme, get an office chair", they are not too wrong. But they mean a different office chair. For example, a Herman Miller costs you 2000$. It is very ergonomic, everyone recommends it. But 2000$. These GT Racing, AKRacing, DXRacer.. but even NobleChair, Secretlab - they cost a fraction of that. You can buy 6-10 of these chairs from a Herman Miller's price.
So... I'd say, do your research.
If you are an average height guy, or a taller girl, good. Most regular gaming chairs will work perfectly! Like obviously a Secretlab costs more but comes with more warranty and more features. Then again, you can buy... 3-4 other chairs from the price of 1 Secretlab chair.
If you are a bit of a bigger guy, companies make big chairs specifically that can support the weight, and are bigger.
If you are a tiny girl/petite person, NobleChair has an "Epic Compact" and AKRacing has "California".
But if you are like... between petite and normal, well, it gets tough.
I ended up here to look for the lowest chair possible, so her feet would reach the ground - no luck so far. They all have the tilting mechanism on the base so their lowest option is quite limited. Few more inches and they'd all work great. I even looked into replacing the gas mechanism but it's not that simple. :/
Unfortunately I’m a 5’6 dude weighing 135 pounds, the pros to this however is this chair kicks ass for me. Don’t know if I’d recommend it to someone of a heavier body type. I’ve had the chair for a little over a year and it still holds up very well, one thing you might wanna do if if you just bought it and don’t like the seat cushion just fight through it and break it in.
This is the only video or explanation in general that I've ever seen that actually explains what the heck the two adjustable pillows were for. People go out of their way to explain what "height adjustment" means, and then they don't explain anything about the pillow system that, to my knowledge, has never appeared on any other chair type.
I’m 6’1” and my back is so happy i got the GT901
So a 3 week update on this chair, maybe will help some other people who's thinking of purchasing it. It's a great chair. The quality is definitely there. Literally the only complaint I have are the arm wrests. They wiggle back and forth and can be awkward sometimes. Everything else works perfect. The reclining feature is very solid l. I would give it an 8.5/10. Not perfect, but a damn good solid chair. I will say that when you're gaming and lean up when it starts to get competitive/intense, if you slide the arm wrests outward, it is a perfect position for your elbows and it's very comfortable. Excellent gaming chair and just to chill and watch a movie or two. Not bad for $85!
@@KingRami bought it on GTRacing website when they were having a promotion sale for $90 free shipping, around summer last year
I bought the GTracing chair off Facebook marketplace and the lady gave me the chair for $40, I got lucky, and the chair is in good condition only a small tear on the bottom
Great review! Thanks👍 showed everything about this chair.
Really great review! I've had my eye on this one for a while. I think I'll be grabbing one soon.
Good review thanks a lot might pick me up one a these bad boys lol
I just bought mine and got it yesterday. I love it. Its very comfortable and mine doesnt squeek. maybe you just got an ungreased or under greased chair from factory. Which sometimes happens but its a great chair!
Bought this chair for my friends bday
I weigh around 210 and find the seat to be uncomfortable after short/medium lengths of time. I also wish it had the ability to lock at various degrees of seat angle recline. Thanks to this video I know now that it can even recline though, I was bummed that (I thought) it didn't have this feature.
Just got it today then I found your vid😅 thank you. And I loved it
I love it! So much better than my old chair
Gonna grab 2 of these for research purposes while still on sale for Black Friday / Cyber Monday.
Thanks helped me alot
Is the metal base plate supposed to be wobbly forward and back and slightly side to side while locked? It won’t stay still when I have it locked and I’m sitting on it.It’s been like that since I got it but I can’t tell it it’s supposed to be like that.
I can't figure out how to lock it from rocking. I push in that lever like you said and nothing happens.
Thanks this is really helpful, I’m trying to get my bf a gaming chair for Christmas but I’m so lost on what to get :(
Great review!!!!!
Do you think the pillow rests disturb/negatively affect your sitting posture? Also, do you think the chair would still be comfortable for people who are shorter than the recommended height?
To answer your questions: The pillows are quite low profile, and don't force you to sit a certain way. I use both of them, which is saying a lot. In terms of size, if you're smaller than the recommended specs, your feet may start to dangle off the chair. A footrest would fix that issue. Everything else about the chair will still fit you fine.
I just bought it I am so excited for it to come
Bro I’m so happy this thing is smaller because if it was any bigger it wouldn’t fit in my desk lol. I have a small desk.
I'm wondering if when you lean back reclining not putting the back down but just the general reclining backwards sitting if it's really hard or if it reclines backs easy
It's my birthday october 2nd and in getting this chair. Great review sounds like the chair is gonna be perfect for me.
I've had it for s few years now but after awhile the padding in the backrest wears out and ends up getting cut through by the bars in the back
Nice review
The bar to lock the tilt doesn't line up with the hole for me for some reason.
so say for $250 or less, what’s your go to gaming chair? I’m 6 ft 185
I like this review sir.
When you rock it back, can you lock it in place so it stays rocked back?
Is there any difference between this and the model with the footrest? Or is it the same thing just with a footrest?
I just bought this chair yesterday in white and black and I'm so excited to get it!
Hey man I was wondering if you could answer this question since Amazon couldn’t. I have a desk that’s 29’ tall and was wondering the height of the armrests on the lowest setting. I’m just curious to know if the armrests will fit under the desk saving me more space when I’m not using it
What’s the height from the arm rest to the floor on the highest setting?
Nice review sir
Wow! Nice Gaming Chair review
I just ordered this, I can’t wait to get rid of this old office chair I currently have.
I love it. I just got mine yesterday.
How is it? I'm thinking of asking for one for Christmas. Don't mind my name, god it's like 5 years old and this account has been inactive heh.
@@tropicalgamertv2090 man I’ve never been this comfortable in a chair, lol I used to use old recliners and computer chairs this is worth it
Do you think the seat cushioning will feel comfortable for someone in 120-130 pound range for around 3-9 hours of continuous sitting
Yes, your body weight is well within the range for the cushions to be supportive
Anyone know how I can loosen the lilt/rocking aspect? I just built it and it's super stiff. It's not locked and i cant get it to rock
How do you know it's idea for people up to 230 pounds? I just watch YetiMachete's review on the chair and he is 6'2 and says it's not a problem for him. So question is how do you know a height of 6'1 and about is problematic if you don't know what they are using the chair for?
Hey. So I just got this chair and I love it now my son is alot bigger so when he sat on it after a while the bottom of the chair just went like at a forward down word mod so don't know if it broke ?
You should be able to adjust it back, otherwise there is a 2 year warranty you can use to have it replaced.
5'8 and Around 220 when I bought this a year ago; It held up pretty well but the Cushioning went away pretty fast, as of December 11 Bolts are very slowly falling out and having to put them in again as well as the wood slowly being exposed and the support slowly running out. For a solid year the chair is great but I think I might've lowered the life span of the chair by me throwing myself on the chair. During the summer the Leather is the worst, especially if you're wearing shorts. Overall; 6/10. I wished it could've went longer then a year and a half but for that long you could possibly have enough to upgrade to something more stronger.
@@quantryli lmao yeah, but it's a good thing I've been going to the gym ever since that comment
I’ve been thinking about buying this gtra cing chair.
I got this chair. Everything is good but the seat cushion. 1 it does not provide enough ventilation so my rear gets hot. 2 the padding on the seat maybe thick. However I have been using this just for a couple of weeks and already the cushion has a deep indention where my butt was. The lumbar pillow seems to be too stiff for my tastes. The neck pillow is perfect. This would be the ultimate chair if the seat part was cooler had memory foam ( it retains its original shape) rather than regular high density foam which deforms. I got this on sale for 145 plus free shipping to Hawaii from Amazon.
Thank you for this review! Very detailed and thought out. Keep up the great work!
When the chair is rocked back 10 degrees or so with the back rest at 90 degrees for example, will the chair lock? I hope you understand my question. In your review, it sounds like the chair only locks when the chair is not rocked.
Not sure I understand. However, basically the tilting can be locked at any angle, so the backrest becomes stiff. This is different from the recline.
I guess I was more interested in how the seat of the chair angles. In other words, when you rock back, will the seat lock in the 10 degree angle you are in?
I just bought this chair on walmarts black friday sale, paid $99 + tax for it, we shall see what I think of it, I go to pick it up next monday, kind of excited, I've been sitting on a "deflated" computer chair for almost 10 years due to not having the almost $200 the chairs by me cost....hopefully the wheels don't snap on it tho, as the supports don't look too sturdy, I plan to sit in this at the computer and at my knitting/ crocheting table
I was thinking about getting that one. That’s why I came to see a review on it. I’m around 280 pounds.😢
Yo dude mine stays locked in the fixed setting not allowing me to freely rest back... I feel like I wasted my money.
nice review
228 pounds and 6'2 the chair is comfortable but the bottom does feel like it needs a little more cushion. 8/10 rating for me.
Bruh does anyone know how to get those little black push in things for the side out? I need to tighten my screws because my friend yanked my back part of the chair back and every since then it goes slightly back instead of upright and makes a big ol sound. I don’t wanna damage them since they didn’t come with extras
the same thing happens with mine. I just took a little needle and plucked them out, but when I tightened the screws it did nothing.
Just bought the chair for $90 on Amazon. Nice chair.
Love this damn chair
Hey It is now 2 years later so how is the chair now
On mine I opened the back pillow and it has like something inside it
i think i built mine backwards because i tilt forward instead of back i might have to rebuild it
this was 2 months ago but twist the really big nob all the way tight under the chair and it won’t tilt forwards
Im 6'4 275 and this chair works wonderfull and is comfortable asf
GT Racing. Not G Tracing. The seat is patterned on the seats of Racing vehicles.
Put away racing vehicles why not spaceships? You know something more sci-fi. Are you on this chair and I absolutely enjoy it but I don’t know why the racing design is so popular.
I'm watching this AFTER I bought
So would this chair work for someone thats super short? I'm only 5'2" and need something I can sit in for many hours a day. I appreciate everyone's help!
Are the legs of the chair metal ?
I have a very uncomfortable plastic chair and I need this chair now 😭
Me watching this video while chilling in the GTRacing gaming chair:
is this chair good for back support? planning on buying this chair or looking into ergonomic chairs
No had this for around a year and it will both kill your ass and your back. This chair is cheap trash. Invest in an ergonomic office chair. Gaming chairs are a scam and so is this vid.
I’ve had it for about 6 months and I’m upgrading to a secret labs Titan. Chair is not soft lol
Hows the titan? I think these are all gimmick anyway. Just going for mesh officee chair now
