He has an incredible control of sound, it feels like he has a strong classical music background
He does have, he has classical and jazz degree, and spent his youth learning from the best classic composers.
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for learning piano fast minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got cool results with it.
The best way to understand the foundation of jazz music is through classical... well really most music because a lot of it was inspired by a preexsiting genre
@@lolsup9817 the pioneers of jazz never studied much classical. You don't need a classical understanding of music to understand jazz. Most classical fans I have met, even through grad school for music education, there's way too much "better than you" attitude from classical to jazz players for a large amount of classical musicians to be any good at it. Might be more of their attitude than their abilities, but whatever the reason, those that think that jazz is an inferior genre is usually the worst at it.
@@anthonytroupe4923 Maybe because no skill shitters can defecate through their fingers and just call it "experimental jazz" and get away with it. Lacking knowledge isn't something to encourage or be proud of.
Chords are:
Dm7 - GM7 - Dm7 - GM7
CMmaj7 - GM7 - CMmaj7 - GM7
Em7 - Ebm7 - Dm7 - Dm7
Edim7 - AM7 - Dm7 - GM7

this man would make an awesome character in a 1940's movie
Yo jackie
Are you really Jackie Chan?
哈哈,我与成龙大哥相遇啦~~
@Ayustria Salma HE LOOKS LIKE FRANK SINATRA
I only play classical music on piano and the other day I dreamed that I was playing improvised jazz, and that was the most beautiful sensation I have felt in my life, the harmony between the notes and the rhythm that I created without having to see what notes I had to play. , it was beautiful
Start learning jazz too than
I play violin and guitar. About 30 years ago I had a dream I could play amazing jazz piano, it was brilliant, it was a very vivid dream...Unfortunately I can't play piano, except for one or two simple pieces that I've taught myself. For a long time I've wanted to play jazz on my violin as that is my main instrument but I never really had any idea how to go about it and so I never made any progress, and it was only a few years ago in my mid-40s that I finally picked up a jazz theory book and started to figure out a way to learn and practise jazz. Since then I've been really enjoying learning jazz. I've been slowly working through some jazz standards. I'll never be brilliant at jazz but it's nice finally to be able to play some nice sounding lines that I've always wanted to play.
I am a bit curious. After a year, have you started playing improvised jazz?
make that dream come true
u had a premonition dream bro, thatll be you in the future no doubt
Guys, stop asking for notes. This is jazz. Jazz is improvised.
Organized jazz isn't.
futuristicchamp1 True, but this is a solo. Practically always they're improvised. Plus, the title says "improvisation."
Yes, I am aware of that and I agree.
+TheCubingDiscMaster314 Cool thing called transcription
ummm not entirely, he's not just improvising, there are chords, there are melodic jazz sequences, and there's the theme.
The freedom in his right hand is magic
You can tell by the way he moves that he is indeed improvising
Listen to the left hand - always same tempo, right hand mostly is in tempo and rhythm, but sometimes totally free - that´s the trick. Great playing !!!
That means hands independence is the key!
thx for pointing this out ! :D
I salute every pianist who can do this. I'm a classical pianist and i always need a buddy to accompany 😂
I sincerely hope this guy is still alive so I can meet him and shake his talented hands. And if he unfortunately has passed, I hope to God that he passed his amazing talent on to someone else.
He's still alive, he's not that old
A perfect toe-tapper. This guy is a MUSICIAN!
I was doing exactly that! Tapping my foot just before i came across your comment!
Awesome. Every musician has their own unique sound and you can really appreciate that sound in improvisations, its just great to be able to enjoy people's musical imagination, regardless of instrument or genre.
I always come back to this. It always makes me smile. Even when im down
this video has truly inspired me. seen it over 50 times
Amazing! Wishing I could go into a Bar and play this all night till morn!

In my dreams that I could ever play this well. A true gift from god.
Anyone can play this well. It just takes patience and practice.
@@user-im7li2ec9s Not everyone has the patience for practice needed to play this well, therefore not anyone can play this well
@@bottlebeard patience can be learned
didn't know Frank Sinatra used to play piano so well.

The title of this song is "Keepin' out of mischief now". Composed in 1932 by "Fats Waller" and "Andy Razaf".
That's a wonderful tune! :)
TonkunstKanal I think you are correct. Fats Waller, Keepin out of Mischief Now

I love jazz and he is very inspiring
Great: Thank you for the beautiful improvisation.
AMAZING
This is so amazing! Make me smile ❤
Oh lordy - what beautiful playing. Mr Wintz has something very special and to me is the jazz version Murray Perahia, another piano god - not wanting accolades, just playing modestly and with immeasurable class that is embedded in every note. Please, please record more for us needy mortals! Cheers and thank you from Sydney, Aust - Dave
Bravo this is amazing!

In case anyone is wondering, he's playing the tune "keeping out of mischief now" by Fats Waller, one of the jazz piano greats. I highly recommend to check him out.
