I really like the behind the scenes of working on the smaller stuff. I worked on many Wooden Boars for years. Chris Craft Cabin Cruiser, 1938 Privately built Wilhoit 1938 old boat. Built first by a cabinet maker for his resort in Missouri. All mahogany.
Thank you for not trying to be an authority on everything about your boat. It’s refreshing to see someone that wants to be sailing instead of trying not to! Can’t wait until we see you guys back on the water! Good job 👍
Marisa looks suspiciously like my dentist explaining how this liitle drill can't hurt me one little bit. More like a whole lot. Very interesting video. It is all the little things that count
Goodness Gracious does That ever look Fantastic after all those “LITTLE 😱” projects. Really some nice work. Nine coats of varnish,Wow.!! How did you come up with that calculation?? It sure turned out Beautiful 😍 Sure glad to see Cleo the Cat 🐈⬛ still around. 13:10 We lost two cats this summer, the last one was fourteen years old. 😫😓
How do you find the roll-tip method of awlgrip on large flat areas? That is one project on our to do list in the coming year to sand back and repaint/non-skid the decks and we’re debating on roll-tip vs spraying on areas such as cockpit and pilothouse to get a good finish. I’m also curious to hear how your cabin sole holds up with the awlwood finish over time.
I also have recently purchased a Choy lee 41 I believe mine is a 78 it says unknown for the document really enjoyed watching your show today yours is different from mine do you have the offshore redesign modified kill on your boat
Hey there, we actually just wrote all about the Cheoy Lee 41 versus the Offshore and Pedrick 41 designs. Check it out here: www.svavocet.com/2022/08/29/all-about-avocet/ Avocet is a CL41
Great video. Did you use the Awlwood Satin varnish after the primer? I am going to be redoing the floors in my 45 year old Alden 44 next spring and am still trying to pick a finish. There is too much to choose from....
Chris and his fiberglass. I wish I had his confidence.
Just start playing!

Still the nicest boat of all the youtube channels...I'll admit the envy level is high! :)
This is absolutely one of the best compliments we have ever received. Thank you so much

You guys are deep into boat work!!!! That was a lot to cram into one episode, great stuff! Especially loved the escape to racing at the end 🙂
Happy to finally be cruising and put those projects behind us!
Awesome, Thanks for sharing - it was inspiring at a minimum. Also very sweet and storied sailboat across the dock from you, a Mason 43.
That’s my moms boat :) we sailed her down to be our neighbor back in 2020. Check out the video!
Beautiful work, you two (and Cleo!) You have one of the prettiest boats in the harbor, soon to be one of the prettiest boats on the seas!
dawwww thanks! Gotta keep up with Esprit. Speaking of which, my stainless needs to be polished. Guess I'll do that today ;)

Awh thanks friends!

Ahoy! So sorry we never saw this comment. We recently did a video on awl grip paint repair - check it out!

Do you sand between coats of varnish? What grit sandpaper? Thanks.
noice
Thanks!
What was the name of the paint that went on the bottom of the floorboards?
Tile clad!
How did you get the sliding hatch off? I can not find the catch the is keeping mine from coming off
With the turtle shell removed it slid right off the tracks
the tracks that the hatch slided on can be removed once the turtle shell is off, then the hatch can be lifted off, tracks too.
Please fully erase your tasks on the "to do" list for those of us who are OCD! (lol)
Haha I was waiting for one of you to point it out 😉
