Hi OTR, After watching this review I’m definitely more educated on this BMW model. I’ll have to check it out when I’m on my next visit to my dealer. Thanks for posting 👍🎥. As always…thank you for your endeavours in bringing us more motorcycle videos. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Conti RA3 works very well on the R1250R. Also in wet conditions. After 6,000km still 3mm left (have to admit 2,000km highway). Rode it for 10 hours home from Denmark (1,000 km trip on highway). All in one go. It wasn’t too bad. Speed between 110 - 160km. So, it’s doable 😝
I bought mt R Ninet last year and I love it. Still I am considering the R1250R because I think it is better than the R9T in every aspect, except for the looks. R9T is simply so beautiful. I wish I could have both hehe.
Hello from Ontario, Canada. I just purchased a brand new model 1250r sport with the solo seat. My 2014 monster 1200 was stolen a month ago, and this is my replacement. Im a little excited to pick it up in a few days,i really miss my monster, and once the initial excitement of a new bike wears off, i think the 1250 will make a great weekend ripper.
I guarantee when you get on this bike you will not miss your monster anymore no crappy chain to worry about bone crushing torque just a fun overall bike definitely superior to the monster overall.
@@OneTwoRider I think you are right. I once had a Triumph Bonnie 750. A fined had exactly the same bike, same year. Her rode mine and was taken aback by the performance. I rode his and agreed his was flat compared to mine. His must have been on a bad day. Also my my BMW does have stonking acceleration, and I also notice a kick at about 4500 revs. The only trouble is speed limits come into play so quickly, but would not want to go on the track. But you are right, it is a superb bike to ride, and very comfortable. PS Thank you so much for posting the video.
@@malcolmabram2957 Exactly, sometimes retightening of engine mount bolts helps in reducing of vibrations. Thank you for the reply and for subscribing to my channel. I'll post more videos on the great R1250R.. Cheers!
I've just bought the same bike, will take it on it's first proper spin soon, I see you have added some accessories to the bike. Is there any chance of you making a video on the aftermarket parts that you've added?
You have made one glaring error. You mention the seat height (820mm) and say that it doesn't suit short riders. This is quite incorrect. My wife has a 1250R HP Sport same as in this video. She is quite short (5' 5 1/2" or 165cm) with legs on the shorter side. There is a low seat option from BMW which makes it possible for her to place her boots flat on the ground due to the 760mm seat height in this configuration. We have the standard seat for when I ride it (20 seconds to swap over seats). There is also a higher seat available as well. This is actually the only fully featured, larger capacity motorcycle with such a low seat height (cruisers don't count!).
@@OneTwoRider -- Given that the dealer will let you choose which seat is fitted, it's a pretty important point to overlook! You actually make mention that a customer would have to try and find one from the aftermarket industry -- that's just not correct. It's particularly noteworthy given that no other high(-ish) power output, fully featured motorbike comes anywhere NEAR to the 1250R for catering to riders at the shorter end of the market.
Er bare 168 cm, går fint uten lav sal. Bruker 820 mm sal mest, pga komfort. Kjører mye langt. Utrolig god allround sykkel, fantastisk motor. Har alt av utstyr på min R 1250 R HP
Well done. I like this review a lot. Mostly I agree with what you stated. I rode it and also made a video. Can check it. Drop by. p.s. I subscribed. Keep up with the good work.
Well, it depends, what are you looking for. S1000R is much faster, sportier in every way, but with less comfort for the bottom and legs, while with the R1250R you get comfortability of a proper touring bike, and definitely some sportiness ;)
The S will keep with the best sports bikes, but, if you want all day comfort, shaft drive, and possibly better longevity and resale - the R will be best, and on a long run will never be far behind the go fast lads. 😎👍

Agree. I have an R Nine T, and I love it, but in the future... R1250R is a more complete bike.

I just made a Vid comparing my r1250r and my R9T 😎. Both such wonderful bikes.
How nice to hear the commentary as a clear voice over instead of through a helmet mic.
Thanks!

100 percent agree, I have the same bike although I have pretty noticeable vibrations from 3500rpm to 5000rpm
Thanks! I really didn't notice any serious vibes..
I have this bike and confess I notice no vibes.
@@malcolmabram2957 Vibes on his bike might be due to the individual construction.. Sometimes that happens on all types of motorcycles.
