    Hello J perm! Thanks for your comment.There may be some misunderstandings. Actually we call these versions single magnetic/ double magnetic/ triple magnetic/ super magnetic.
    Firstly, the so-called half-maglev version is the triple magnetic version, we don't call it maglev, the magnet ring in center piece is aim to align automatically on 45° by repulsing corner feet magnets, and it's the same with the super magnetic version.
    Secondly, the magnet strengths are much more stronger than our expection, for the megnet capsules were thinner than the original setting, and we didn't notice that until we had sent them out. So these test versions are inferior products in some way. We have changed it in the final version, which will have morderate magnets.
    Finally, the version and adjustment introduction are still under producing, sorry for we didn't make it in the test version, but we will add it in the final version.
    Anyway, thanks for your advice, we have made many adjustments accroding to cubers' feedback, hope you could enjoy the final version
    🥺

    I want to know, there have been lots of innovations and improvements in 3x3s over the last few years from customizable options like tensions and magnets and even maglev which I think is a huge step, what I want to know is why haven't other companies imported some of these improvements to bigger cubes like 4x4, 5x5, etc. I don't know business maybe they wouldn't sell but it's not like they have had huge upgrades in the past few years, only sidegrades for 4x4 and just the MGCs for the others. I would love a maglev 4x4 for example. The tension stuff is probably really hard for even cubes but I'd still like to see some improvements in bigger cubes.

    • @JPerm

    • @laiscube
      @laiscube 2 роки тому +1

      The biggest problem is space constraint.
      The middle layer of an even cube is a T shape, not a big rectangle like a 3x3 (and at least bigger odd cubes have a bit of rectangular space around the screw for you to do something, in particular the MGC5's one is pretty good). But for an even cube, finding space to insert 2 big flat metal discs, or cutting out an internal cylindrical cup from the stem of the T shape is a problem. Thickening the stem of the T shape would mean less space for the outer 2 layers to hook under, making the cube less stable.
      I thought about cutting up the stem portion to repurpose part of the stem for dual adjsutment, to avoid the need for a "double wall", but that requires detaching the center piece from the core, and it simply won't work because of how the XB allignement mechanism works. The center piece is made of a circle and a square, and the circle cannot move. This means that you need the center to descend all the way to the core and attach to the core.
      I ended up creating my own allignment mech to get around the limitations of XB and Eashsheen, not requiring the center piece to have a bump on top that links all the way down to the core, yet still allowing the corners to descend deep into the cube (something Eastsheen couldn't do. They put a big block in the core to asymmetrically hook the second layer. As a plus, the centers can detach from the core and the mechanism would still work, allowing for Yuexiao-style designs. But as a minus, it meant that the outer layer has to be shallow or else it will clash with the internal block). Unfortunately 3D printing precision isn't good enough for the 2 halves of the dual adjustment mech to fit perfectly, and the material has so much friction the dual adjsutment mech dosen't turn, and it would cost another huge sum of money to make another prototype. Would probably need to hired as a designer and have asses to injection molding to fully publish my design. However, the allignemnt mech works, and the middle layer of 3D printed 4x4 dosen't misallign. I think the Gan 460's allignment mech also works in a similar way, but it imposes it's own design restricitons that my 4x4 also somewhat avoided.
      Magnet adjustment systems however, are not even embedded in the internal mechanism, but exists in the external parts, so technically it should be extremely easy for a company to create magnet adjustable 4x4s. Given Moyu's resources, they can simply copy-paste the Aosu WR, GTS2 or Meilong 4x4 mechanism, but modify one of the edge halves to accomodate the Yuexiao EDM magnet switches on both sides. The magnet switches only need to be off-centered due to the double magnets of the inner layer, but it's not big off a deal. Plus that actually allows the user to adjust the inner and outer magnets independently of each other, allowing for choices like "equal inners and outers" and "slightly stronger inners", therefore satisfying both people who want more control in the 3x3 stage, and people who want a more consistent feeling cube.
      As for mods, a core-mag Aochuang WR hand mod isn't hard to do (I did it and it made the cube a lot more stable, also have an Aoshi GTS version of the mod). But Gan probably has the rights to do it, so if Moyu to produced an official version, it would look like obvious copying.

    It's very sad that so many people watching these reviews don't know that these are just the test versions and that in the final release the cubes will have moderate magnets and a instruction on how to customize the cube. I feel like a lot of people will get a bad image of MoreTry although the cube is actually pretty good

    Hey J Perm, so my 3x3 PB is 21 seconds with f2l and I want to improve without having to learn full OLL/PLL. Do you have any tips or tricks?

      @port9426 2 роки тому +2

      You could try learning some very simple OLLs and PLLs apart from the 2 look OLL and PLLs

      Doing F2L 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL (except for 2 extra PLL algorithms that I learnt) my PB is 15.81s. Just wait a while and practice. Your opportunity will come.

    I think the Washer in the Half Maglev is actually the magnet but flipped so it won’t repel.
    It’s called Half Maglev because it uses springs and magnets.

    Thankyou for your tutorial on solving the Rubix Cube 3x3x3, I was 7 years old and I was told that I could solve the Cube with in 30 seconds, How ever I was in an Accident when I was 12 years old and I lost all my memory of the first 12 years of my life and I have never been able to solve the cube again, I love puzzles and the Cube has always been my favorite, Thanks to your easy solve in 10 minutes 3x3x3 cube, I have finally solved my 2 Cubes (one is the 40th anniversary cube other is normal), Once I can solve it from memory, Time to get me a Speed Cube :)
    Thanks again.

    hello J perm. These cubes are have some pretty cool new features, the full maglev version has 6 magnets, weird. I have a suggestion for the next vid, you could "fix" the full maglev version by taking out 4/6 of the magnets as 6 magnets probably would have more friction than springs. Hope you read this comment. Love your vids as always, keep up the good work!
